The reason I'm searching so heavily for ship content in ft 100 is he literally has said he planned on making more happen with the ships and he seems to want to cater to fanservice, but seemingly a very different side than what services me. The story is...fine i guess. But I'm not entirely sure what is supposed to be hyping me up besides a chance for nalu or something.

The series is like basically over, mashima hasn't added much of benefit to ft 100 imo, besides the first 20 chapters, none of it even SMELLS like fairy tail to me. So yeah, I'm gonna be looking for some nalu because it feels like that's all he has to offer with this. I'm not trying to rag on ft 100, clearly it's a different series than the original and very few chapters overall have actually caught my attention but some have been good. The added character backstories are nice, but there has been NO CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT. and that's like sludging through slop to me.

hear me out: natsu and lucy swapping bodies gruvia style, except it has to be mid-fight (bc otherwise natsu would grab onto lucy’s tits like it’s his lifeline), and they both struggle with using each other’s magic, but (and this is IMPORTANT!!!) there’s a short panel where natsu is shocked over how much magical power lucy’s body has (bc bringing out entire spirits and their physical body takes a LOT of power, you can’t tell me it’s easy)

and also they run away from the villains they’re fighting bc they’re vulnerable in their current states, and then they have to teach each other their magic bc they don’t know how long they’ll be stuck like that WHICH !! is the first step for them to be able to do a unison raid!

Fairy Tail 100 years quest ch. 109

Want to know my general thoughts on FT HYQ 102? Here they are:

Wasn't Laxus fighting someone a few chapters ago? I must have missed a panel or maybe that Laxus is under some kind of illusion spell because I highly doubt he would just randomly appear out of thin air at Lucy and Kyria's fight just to be put under Kyria's spell. This only adds to my suspicion that what's happening to Lucy isn't exactly real. Or maybe I'm reaching and I'll be proven wrong in the next chapter. Who really knows at this point?

Ik this is old news but i never really voiced how great this idea was

Like HELLO!! Dude became a mini-laxus!!! I just really like the concept of our characters wielding 2nd magic powers, like let’s say Gray can do simple water spells, Happy can do simple forms of transformation (like Carla), Wendy ofc lowkey already wields 2 abilities (the offensive wind magic and the more defensive healing magic) and idk what Lucy and Erza would do but I really like the idea of Lucy being able to use other types of holders magic (like when she attempted to use Cana’s cards) OR she can equip like Erza (remember how some guild member said her celestial dresses were similar to equip magic? Idk maybe) and maybe Erza could do simple transformations? When she can’t equip? Idk i just feel like Mira would drill her into at least being able to transform in some way

Idk i just like the idea of them having “backup magic” in case their preferred magic gets blocked

i need some domestic nalu scenes soon or i might die. please mashima or atsuo or anyone, just draw a small panel of natsu cooking some meat for lucy in front of the fire while the rest of the group is doing something else. make them laugh and have fun and maybe fall asleep beside each other - i don't even need cuddling, i just need them to interact and notice each other

i really don't see the point of the hyq if we don't get to see natsu's and lucy's relationship evolve. "there's worldbuilding and other characters' relationships to discover" yeah but we don't need to add 700 characters, give them a past, present, future, relationship, 5 alternative universes and 5 children, before we even put natsu and lucy in the same panel. i'm actually tired.

i'm looking forward so much to the new hyq arc!! my main wishes for the ignia-arc is to see good fights by Natsu of course, but also Wendy (bc i love her attacking spells), Gray (bc I'd like to see that his magic grew along with his love for Juvia, it would be such a good way of showing that love makes people stronger and all that), Erza (same with the love stuff, but I also wanna see her use her requip in a creative way, kinda by being one step ahead in her different armours, rather than just requipping as a reaction to whatever situation she's in, if you know what I mean) and of course Lucy, who I'd love to just use her less used spirits - I'm thinking Cancer, Scorpio, Capricorn, Saggitarius, but also her silver keys, like Crux or Lyra.

As a non-official nalu blog i obviously wanna see some progress there as well, but as for now I'm not sure myself how their relationship would evolve. I can see there being nalu content in the ignia fight, but other than that i'm just hoping to see some strain on their relationship that carries on for a longer time. the biggest strain they ever had was after Tartaros, when Natsu left Lucy to do his own stuff for a year, and even then everything resolved itself in some way or another. I think that putting strain on their relationship is what will put them in a situation where their bonds either will break or survive and grow stronger, and they need that push in the right direction.

Anyways, I don't think nalu will get together this year, or even next year, so I'm not in a rush to predict how they will evolve. I'm just excited to see what the next arc will give us :)
