Their charts

The split came suddenly - they'd already traveled to NYC to get choreo from Kaitlyn Weaver, Trennt made birthday stories for Evelyn on July 8 saying "here's to another year of great times" but then announced the end of their partnership on August 5.

They have positive connection between them (her Sun conjunct his Venus/Mars, his Sun sextile her Jupiter and more), but there are hints in the charts that long term, they would want different things

Evelyn has 7 air planets and no earth in her chart. That's a lot of mental energy and a need to learn and process and grow through the mind. No earth in your chart makes it harder to feel grounded and secure. Yet she's a Cancer Sun, and Cancer is very security conscious, so she would be craving that.

This past May-June, she had transiting Saturn conjunct her Uranus: gradually building tension inside causes you to take sudden action that nobody could have anticipated. Aljona has a very strong Mars/Pluto conjunction in her chart in Scorpio, which is willful, driven in the extreme, action oriented and can have an uncompromising, at all costs vibe. But Bruno is an Aquarius with moon in Libra and a retrograde Mercury in Aquarius- he would rather get along, try to understand each other. Aquarians don't like being told what to do and would be more likely to get stubborn and want to rebel against demands.

In the composite chart for their relationship, Aljona and Bruno have a T-square with Sun opposing Mars, both squared by Pluto.

Wenjing is a Cancer with Aries moon: very emotional and expressive, determined and independent. Proud and more sensitive and reactive than the confident exterior suggests. She has no air in her chart, which can mean wanting connection and social interaction but also feeling misunderstood. Can lack objectivity in seeing yourself.

She is a powerful person - she has a Grand Kite and a Mystic Rectangle. These are gifts in her chart - the placements are harmoniously aligned with a lot of ease but also enough tension to motivate her to action.

Her Sun, Saturn and Pluto make a Grand Water Trine, and Mars opposite her Saturn makes it a Kite. That means all the flowing energy of her will can be powerfully channeled into action. She has Uranus and Neptune opposite her Sun, and all together these make 5 out of 6 points of a Grand Sextile. The one thing missing to make a complete and rare 6 pointed star in her chart is a Taurus placement around 26°-28°. Having the complete star strengthens the potential of every element and gives support and momentum to seize an opportunity. This is one of those times where the astrology is just too perfect. The transiting North Node, which brings increase into your life in that area, was at 26°-28° of Taurus for the entire span of the Olympics, including the day they won their gold medal.

There was also an eclipse on November 19, 2021 at 27° Taurus which already lit up this whole pattern in her chart for the 6 months until May 2022, and the Nodal transit during the Olympics heightened this sense of completion. Roman is a Gemini with moon most likely in Sagittarius (small chance of Capricorn): very independent and wants to feel free. restless and needs a challenge. talky, adaptable and maybe changes his mind or his moods frequently.

He has a tight trine between Mercury and Uranus in air signs, Gemini and Aquarius no less, so creative and very intuitive with technology and info, fast thinking and wants to engage with quirky interesting people- this setup ⬇️ and his sm activity especially on youtube and twitch tracks with this

He has intensity that you don't usually associate with Geminis in his chart- he has a Thor's Hammer overlapping with a T-square. That's a lot of energy but also a ton of tension.

His Thor's Hammer involves Venus and Jupiter with Pluto at the apex and his Sun at the trigger point - with Venus square Jupiter, you're good natured, have lots of friends, a tendency to overestimate your resources. This in a Hammer with Pluto gets really intense, going all out at what you're into, but maybe getting obsessed at times and over the top. Sun opposite Pluto means a powerful will and ambition, strong ego and pride. you're hard on yourself with a need to be in control as a result. forceful in trying to get your way. Birthday twins

Working on Juulia Turkkila's and Matthias Versluis's charts, his chart looked really familiar. Turns out it's because he and Maia Shibutani were born 2 days apart, so they have a lot of the same placements, down to the degree.

There are a number of skaters who were born very close to another, and it's interesting to see how two people with very similar charts have things in common like serious competitive skating careers but also can be very different. Shows how much difference a rising sign, moon sign, and the degrees of placements make.

Jeremy Abbott and Evan Lysacek 6/5/85 and 6/4/85

Jeremy and Evan competed against each other in the same discipline for the same country. Evan won 2009 Worlds and 2010 Olympics and didn't compete again after because of injuries and conflicts with USFS about money, until he finally retired around 2014. Jeremy won 4 US titles between 2008 and 2014. They are Geminis with moon in Capricorn (Evan has a small chance it's in Sag). Jeremy skated in RTR and most recently was coaching Alysa Liu. Evan placed 2nd on Dancing with the Stars, worked for Vera Wang, and is now a real estate developer.

Maia Shibutani and Matthias Versluis 7/20/94 and 7/18/94

They both have some intense aspects that make them driven and hard on themselves. But the 2 day difference gives him a Thor's Hammer which she's a bit out of range for, which gives him a greater need for independence and freedom.

Eva-Lotta Kiibus and Diana Davis 1/17/03 and 1/16/03

Both Capricorns with Cancer moon, Eva-Lotta is going to the Olympics for Estonia, and Diana controversially is going as part of the Russian team. They both are having a major Pluto transit to their Sun which marks a period of great change and high energy.

Andrei Bagin and Mariah Bell both 4/18/1996

Both Aries, Mariah has moon in Taurus, Andrei has moon in either Aries or Taurus. He skates with Annabelle Morozov (and is coached by her well known father)

Lubov Ilyushechkina and Paul Poirier 11/5/91 and 11/6/91

Lubov had 3 skating partners and won Jr Worlds for Russia and skated most notably with Dylan Moscovitch for Canada. Paul is heading to his 3rd Olympics, his 2nd with Piper Gilles. Paul is a double Scorpio, Lubov's moon is either Libra or Scorpio.

Kirsten Moore-Towers and Madison Chock 7/1/92 and 7/2/92

Madison is a Cancer with Leo moon, Kirsten is probably a double Cancer (there's a slight chance she has a Leo moon also).

Gracie Gold and Sasha Stepanova 8/17/95 and 8/19/95

They are Leos, Gracie with moon in Taurus, Sasha with moon in Gemini. Both have a yod, but Gracie's is very exact- Tessa Virtue is the only skater I know who has one as exact as Gracie's, but Gracie's involves her Venus and Sun, which can make the pressures from it very personal (and less about work or life direction as it is for Tessa). Gracie and Sasha have a Libra North Node- life lessons about learning to relate to and work with others - learning the power of partnership -- and Ivan Bukin's Saturn is at the trigger of Sasha's yod, so working with him has been helping her with this for 15 years.

Olivia Smart and Adrian Diaz 4/1/97 and 9/17/90

3x Spanish National champions

Olivia and Adrian both have a ton of easy aspects which speak to gifts they can take advantage of. Olivia is an Aries with Capricorn moon, which is a very driven combination. What jumps out of her chart is a close Sun/Venus/Saturn conjunction, all sextile Jupiter and Uranus and trine Pluto:

Sun conjunct Venus is warm and affectionate, creative and refined. In Aries it can be a little proud. Sun and Venus sextile Uranus are spontaneous and offbeat. Smart/Diaz, Hurtado/Diaz and Hurtado/Khaliavin

The two Spanish teams of Olivia Smart/Adrián Diaz and Sara Hurtado/Kirill Khaliavin are competing for a single Olympic spot and have been going head to head a lot the last few seasons because Spain usually has only one slot at major international competitions.
