I'm still catching up on SCK (currently on 21 ahh!) but I felt compelled to check out the hashtag and see how the episode did and I'm reminded why I don't like looking at fandom stuff too much ever since OUAT haha. I swear some of these people have never watched TV before??? We're 100% not going to just have hours of a couple cuddling/being domestic. There has to be drama people, that's how this works? Gah so many complaints. Just going to stick to your blog ;) BTW do we know about any hiatus?

Yeah, you know, I’ve always been a huge proponent of controlling your fandom experience. Block, blacklist, filter, mute, unfollow are all good tools to use on various platforms if someone’s negativity is ruining your experience. None of us are under any obligation to humor someone that makes us feel bad about something that we love. This is a hobby, not a job. I’ve muted a lot of tantruming people on Twitter just so I can look through the tags for actual content. Part of the problem is some who don’t speak Turkish, watch it live without subtitles and get upset and thrash about for no reason, because they don’t have context. And to answer your question, I think some of them are young enough that they haven’t watched that much TV before. They are throwing fits at the official accts and writers trying to get the story to fit their exact specifications. But it doesn’t work like that.

This wasn’t the easiest episode to watch, (partly because I felt sooooo on edge all ep worrying about what would happen with Balca’s sabotage of Eda) but there was a lot that I loved. Part of the problem going into this episode was that many people were expecting an Eda ILY and reconciliation, and when that didn’t happen, some can’t see beyond it. It reminds me of the Captain Swan Movie. Ask 99% of Captain Swan fans today and they would call those two episodes perfection. They are universally loved and reverred as the greatest thing to ever happen to our OTP and our fandom. But when they aired, that wasn’t the universal reaction. Some people had predicted and were expecting a True Love’s kiss and when that didn’t happen they were disappointed and inflicted a lot of knee-jerk negativity on the fandom right after the ep aired. Imagine that!!! Imagine watching the glorious-ness of the CS movie and being disappointed because you’d raised your hopes too high before it aired and couldn’t adjust to appreciate the amazing episodes we actually got. It’s a huge lesson in fandom, not to get too attached to speculation.

As far as hiatus, supposedly 24 is the last one to film before the New Year break, and they won’t air an ep on Jan 2nd, but who knows, there doesn’t seem to be a lot of official scheduling info from Fox about it. I hope the actors get a rest, Kerem and Hande looked exhausted on the telethon type IG live they participated in the other night.
