Sport on KFS this Weekend
With Kwesé Free Sports (KFS) streaming some great events on Kwesé Play, we’ve got your weekend of sport sorted!
Premier League: Bournemouth vs Wolves*
Can anyone remember the days when Chelsea and Manchester City were middling Premier League clubs? That was before big oil money came in to grease the wheels of performance. Now Chelsea and Man City are major players in Europe. Could the same thing happen to Wolverhampton, who have some serious Chinese money behind them? As for Bournemouth, thanks to the heroic feats of coach Eddie Howe they pulled themselves up from their bootstraps, moving from 3rd-tier to Premier League in three seasons. And they’re holding their own at the top table.

Arsenal TV Repeat: Arsenal vs Southampton*
Chelsea coach Maurizio Sarri is not quite sure why the Blues fans have turned on him with such venom. Sarri points out that Chelsea are doing no worse than Arsenal this season and yet he’s getting the invective, while Gunners’ coach Emery seems to be getting away scot-free. That will change should a few upcoming results not go Arsenal’s way. Catch a Repeat of their Premier League clash against 18th-placed Southampton.

Friday Fight Night LIVE from Wynberg Military Base, Cape Town
Are you a fight fan? Africa has plenty boxing talent, but not necessarily the platforms to show off the talent. KFS is changing all that with Friday Fight Night. The evening has been dubbed ‘Battle Ready’ and includes fighters Thembani ‘Baby Jake’ Mbangatha, Nic ‘The Natural’ Radley and Lunga ‘The Pressure Cooker’ Sitimela.

NBA Basketball on KFS
The NBA consists of thirty teams divided between two conferences (East and West). Nine from each go through to the playoffs. The Philadelphia 76ers are 4th in the East and the Portland Trail Blazers are 4th in the West. We’ll get an idea of the relative strength of each conference when these two meet. Look out for big Joel Embiid (Cameroon) in the 76ers.

Rugby on KFS*
England are the team to beat in both the men’s and women’s Six Nations Championship. The game is strong in that part of the world right now and it all starts with a very competitive club competition: English Premiership Rugby. Enjoy a host of games this weekend from the Premiership on KFS. Tune into KFS, 24 February 15:00 CAT, to catch Worcester Warriors vs Leicester Tigers which is followed by Repeats of Harlequins vs Bristol, Wasps vs Sale, Chiefs vs Falcon and Saints vs Bath. (Not in South Africa). Note that fans of women’s rugby can catch the Six Nations clash: Italy vs Ireland (KFS, 24 February at 20:45 CAT).
