Finally leaving, went to the bookstore and stuff after, because I only stayed 2h at the con, so with the car trip itself being over 2h, it wouldn't have been worth it to just go to the con
Sadly they only had Japanese clothes in tiny kid sizes or very obviously for women, and I don't want to dress like a human female. I guess I'll just look online since I can't go to a store on my own, maybe next month. But! I got a new little fox friend, and a Zorua too! And a fox head pendant, made of snowflake obsidian. Out of all of the variants the person made, it spoke to me the most. Got a bracelet engraved with my name as well, and a manga and some mochi, since the new brand the supermarket got makes me gag
We went to the mall right next to the con and I got some nice tea and a pretty blue Japanese teacup. Sadly I didn't get the cherry green tea because the smell was very fruity but the taste was floral and it was too jarring. But I got the last volume of The Fox & Little Tanuki at the bookstore, and another very beautiful find, a book on Yokai and Japanese ghosts. But despite going to three bookstores, no books on Shinto, Kami or even just vague mythology. There was one on temples but... tourism stuff
So even if the human was insufferable and I almost had multiple meltdowns, especially an hour ago because it was all too much, today was pretty nice. I got compliments on Chiyo too! Since I brought her back from my first con, I don't remember ever taking her along somewhere, so it was fun. She carried my wallet and important stuff all the while
