not only does one of my new roommates have a small yappy dog, but she also blasts her bassy EDM music in the evening that sounds like the same bad song on a loop... hmm.

update: okay just confirmed it's not her playing the music, but rather someone in the unit above ours. I asked them to turn it down and they did (for now)

#the punchline is that she wasnt originally going to be in this unit with the rest of us #the girl who initially had her room (we spoke over the summer) got switched to a different unit #so now this other girl is here #for context the floors are designed based on like.. artsy folks or sports folks or ppl who want more academic spaces #i chose the last option on my roommate matching sheet #and it's become obvious to me this new girl chose a different area because she feels like someone who #should have been in the music or artsy area.. and yet... #*sigh* if it continues to be a big issue for me (bc our rooms are the ones next to each other) #i'll ignore my tendency to shy from conflict resolution and talk to her about it #she cant help how mich her yappy chihuahua barks but she Can turn down her music #cuz it's gonna be an issue once i start working remotely and get into the thick of it with my assignments #grad school #if you have a loud dog pls dont room with other people you dont know... that feels like common courtesy to me #and it's a chihuahua so I'm 99.9% sure it's not a service animal #actually between the loud dog and the loud music... benefit of the doubt she's hard of hearing idk
