Inspired by a post I recently saw; the Hispanic MC community is very open in terms of fandom practices and creators are very knowledgeable of it.

Older creators like Vegetta, Rubius, and Luzu are all OGs in terms of career and were super popular during the huge YouTube wave in the early 2010s, which meant they’ve experienced the shipping craze that was super common in that period. Vegetta and his friend Willy actually created content under their ship name and own the Wigetta twitter user. They’ve also published a book series with that name! Rubius and his friend Mangel were what I can describe as best as the Spanish Dan and Phil. But now, Rubius and Vegetta are the biggest ship in the Hispanic MC community thanks to Karmaland.

New creators are very transparent with the fact that they have the ability to see fan activity on twitter and are not afraid to reference fanfiction activity during discussions. Roier is the most in touch with fandom activity (that I know of). So if your having any shipping talks, I would be weary if your talking about Roier but he means no harm! He’s very appreciative of fanworks made for him regardless if it’s ship-related or not.

TDLR; shipping is common and open and Hispanic creators will not care. They will ignore it, praise your work at best, or will lightly tease fans at worst.

Thinking about Benito and Emi and Lucie.

Thinking about how Benito will slowly warm up to Emi not because he wants to but because he knows it's what she needs. He'll make fun of her and get the healthy foods because she hates it and stay up longer than usual because he can't stop thinking about the what ifs. When November comes around the corner Benito will make Emi clean the house and set a table with marigolds and leftover dinner.

A shitty drawing of Lucie will be framed. They'll never admit their survivor's guilt to one another but both Benito and Emi will look at Lucie with fondness and respect.

My favorite thing about the QSMP is when the players play house. Cellbit pretends to wash and cut a fish on the cutting board. Maxo makes running water noise as he washes his hands. This is what the Federation wanted.

A Summary of the Upcoming QSMP Elections

All current members of the QSMP have the right to run for president.

Voting is done by QSMP residents (50%, each member will have 2 votes and can funnel them to one person or split their votes), by the community (35%), and by a Leaderboard (15%, which is done by in-game statistics [6 categories, each being 2.5%])

The elected president will have the ability to propose new rules, add or remove mods, propose public works and force fo law on situations and can add 1 new member to the QSMP. However, this must be approved first by the Federation.

Campaign season is from June 12th - July 7th.

To run for candidacy, the candidate must fill out an application with their name, country of origin, language spoken, past work experience, and must write three short paragraphs. The Federation will approve or reject the application within 24-hours of receiving the application.

Accepted candidates must fulfill campaign requirements. Failure to fulfill campaign requirements will result in disqualification for presidency; votes will be rendered invalid for candidates that are disqualified.

"Campaign material must be associated with branded material provided solely by the Federation Design Bureau." A team will be assigned to each candidate to help design campaign materials.

With campaigns materials, creators must select their inauguration date (June 17th - 23rd) and "will be held at set locations where the candidate must deliver a speech announcing their candidacy".

There will three debate nights: June 23rd, June 26th, and July 5th

Candidates can be disqualified by death (candidates will have 2 lives during campaign season, assassinations are possible), failure to show up to at least 1 debate, failure to fulfill campaign requirements, and can by disqualified by the Federations for any reason.

Election night will be on July 8th. The night will begin by each candidate discussing their campaign and future plans. All candidates will be present virtually to witness election results.

Voting is a private right, meaning that a creator's vote will not be shown until the results are tallied. Persuasion of vote is basically prohibited.

The elected president will give a speech addressing the Island following the results.

"Guided by the Federation, the new president will assume the presidency and fulfill their responsibilities"
