The most frustrating part of FFIV TAY is that I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but Bands' pairing doesn't work. Even if I'm reading a guide, for some reason, they don't work and I don't even know what I'm doing wrong. The first time I played this I guess I didn't bother with them either, even my boyfriend tells me the same "huh, I didn't use them anyway, don't bother yourself with it".

I'm with Rydia, I press Band + Luca + Square + Attack: it does... nothing? I guess I'll try with Luca first and Rydia second but I think it won't change a thing.

Headcannons for Rydia

She grew up a little spoilt as a natural talent with summons, and because of that, she’s very confident and headstrong.

Her favorite foods are ones that she never got in mist. One of the perks of traveling through the world she supposes. Plus, for part of the story, she hasn’t come to terms with the loss of her village and doesn’t want reminders.

Rydia is very empathetic, even if she doesn’t realize it. It helps her with her summons, and is part of the reason she eventually forgives cecil.

Aging faster than everyone else was a little disconcerting for her, even though she never let it on, and she sometimes wonders if it would be better if she never goes back.
