Do you ever think about how lonely R Verner is? The Verner heir life giving them more influence they could ever possibly need in town while being the one thing stifling them the most. Having to be seen as all the masks they consciously and subconsciously put up, since the mask theme and roles are so present in TFS.

The MC can be the one to see past them, but even in Book 1 they can fall for it too (not knowing why they wouldn't want a memorium if they're a Verner as if they would ever wish for the death of another [Surname] comes to mind).

Hell, one could even argue that's the entire point of the Denial overlay, the MC not believing (or refusing to) when R is being genuine, due to their own misconceptions about who they are.

It's just... idk man it makes me so sad *stares into the horizon*
