is it just bc i am an ayato main or is he really one of the least understood characters because people keep giving terrible team comp advice involving him :// pretty sure the other casually misunderstood teamcomp is nilou bloom

so "stop suggesting vaporise team comps for ayato" gets a new sibling called "stop suggesting double dendro hyperbloom teams for ayato"

For Ayato hb teams, double dendro = too much dendro, double hydro = too much hydro. And the latter is preferable.

He has 3 hit ICD so he applies 5 times hydro over his E. To get his burst every rotation as solo hydro you're looking at 180+ ER reqs, if not 200 and totally crippling his personal damage. The 2nd dendro will not give you that many more cores worth the personal damage loss on Ayato.

DMC as solo dendro otoh isn't going to be built for damage anyways, so you don't lose anything from investing into ER.

Xingqiu for ER generation, hydro app and personal damage, or Fischl for personal damage and ER generation are both way better than double dendro.
