Was it wrong to keep glancing at her? There had been... nearly twenty years apart since seeing a kid of his own, let alone one that had his spitting image. It was jarring, to say the least. Like if Rusty made a clone of him without his knowledge and made him a kid of his own - it was that surprising.

"Well, I uh... didn't expect to get put face to face with my own kid," he said. "Seein' the hair, and... the skin. I almost think you're a carbon copy. Hell, you even got the curls there. I almost wanna ask if you use the same conditioner as me."

        Swank was everything a gal could dream of. In a world that made people hard, he had the ability to be soft. It made Ophelia's heart flutter in ways that she thought were not possible. Love at first sight was a Pre-War Game. She fell in love with Swank at first frisk. Even though he was too distracted to notice the pistol underneath her skirt.

        A purposefully flirtatious frisking, turned into a couple drinks later that night. It didn’t take long for Swank to offer her a hundred caps, for Ophelia to buy something pretty. No one had ever done something like that for her before. It was sweet, and she was smitten. It distracted her from her revenge against Benny Gecko, long enough for her to let go of the entire thing. Realizing – she had bigger fish to fry. Especially if she could do it with Swank by her side.

          They were at the Penthouse of the Lucky 38, laying in the surprisingly luxe bed. Sun began to peek through the windows. Ophelia’s eyes fluttered open to Swank kissing the nape of her neck. “Mmmm…Now that how a lady likes ta’ be woken up.” Fingers intertwined with his, as she wrapped his arm around her middle. Contently, she snuggled into his arms. “I wish we could stay like this forever….” But freeing New Vegas was only the beginning.

❝ i'm kidding. ❞ he says once, meeting the others gaze with a sense of jest that he almost immediately backpedals on. he pulls out his lighter again, trying to reignite the damn thing, meeting equal parts frustration, as chestnut eyes flick up to swank and back down to the light that he is trying so desperately to get to work. (it was as if lady luck herself did not like his joke.) ❝ i'm kidding! ❞

finally, he gets a light when he corrects his rather egregious oversight. benny almost cheers at himself, before throwing an arm around swank, curling tightly inward so that their faces are close. (he likes swank, he does.)

shelby was doing her best to keep river up and to help calm her by saying that, she knew that, but she couldn’t help the rush of fear and dread that settled into the pit of her stomach as she tried not to look down. the general wasn’t afraid of heights. she never had been afraid of heights. she was a pilot for fucks sake! but that situation… that was different. when she flew she was in the sanctity of her plane, she was in control, but in that moment there was no control. only the hope that they could find some kind of leverage to pull her up better without her slipping and falling to her death.

You mean where Anon went into the askbox to start problems over Toastie? To someone unrelated?

No this is actually a justified defense from this person. Toastie is no "manipulator" and anon doesn't even link to anything supporting their claims.

Is Toastie stupid? Yes. Incredibly so and participated in Loke's bullshit with at least the Stols situation. The anon clearly was coming in over the Star drama however and that's a whole other issue.
