I am BEGGING this one YouTuber to just fucking Google the pronunciation of a word you don’t know before you say it and then go “aaa sorry I’m gonna butcher this idk how to pronounce it” or even just… going ahead and doing it

Like idgaf about names because foreign names are hard even for linguists, so like, whatever. But like, just words of English that are uncommon, low frequency, you’ve only read them before and not heard them… and you’re a YouTuber/podcaster… and you refuse to take a couple seconds and look up how to pronounce the words before you feel the need to do combative defensive commentary about it…

You know who knows how to pronounce all words? GOOGLE (and honestly, wiktionary is probably a better bet, but Google has you covered)

You have a gigantic channel and a bunch of Patreon subscribers. You can do the BARE minimum of practicing something and demonstrating your credibility and dedication to some kind of “research” by GOOGLING A PRONUNCIATION
