honestly as sapnap has no esports management experience there's no way that nrg would be having him make decisions for any esports team. i think it's best to think of him as like operating in the same sort of position that valkyrae does in 100thieves (for example as they're both co-owners) on like the content/marketing side of things
yeah I wouldn't expect that either and I don't think that's what he wants—on one of the old train podcasts he's said that he doesn't want the commitment of joining an esports team as a player but would love the opportunity to play some scrims with a team to get a taste and this partnership w NRG seems to be the perfect way to do that!! and yeah I assumed he'd take on a role more like Rae which seems to be the case
