Starting to find inspiration in facial expressions...

I'd like to start a new illustration for an 18x24 linocut. Filling all of that space with subjects that feel worthy of it is challenging, so I might need to spend more time in the sketching phase than I'm used to.

We are finally up and running!

At the moment, we only have two of Eric’s illustrations up for sale through the shop. We have other work completed, but the postings are pending until we have a chance to work out some more of the logistics and photo work for the original linocut prints we intend to sell. We also still need to check the printing of K’s work so that we can start the photo work and know if there will be any hitches in the printing. 

However! We are very excited to have the shop up at all, and while it is small at the moment, we will surely be able to have the other pieces ready to post by Friday! 

So, stop by the shop and check out what we have up for now, and check back to see what we will have up on Friday!

Finalizing the illustrations and posting details to open shop. We are on schedule to have our print shop up and operating by this afternoon. 

Yesterday, we dug out the large linocut prints from Eric’s studio, and we finished up all the initial photography. Now, we’re getting the photos to look as accurate to the actual hardcopy prints as possible, since we’ll be selling the original linocut  hardcopies,, not digital touchups. As for the digital art prints, we have some pieces ready to go. The formatting on the rest of the work we have done for our opening is almost finished and should be up within the next day or so. 

We are very excited to open shop and offer our art to the public! Well post a link to the shop page as soon as it’s up and functional!

We have set our shop opening goal date! We hope to be up and functional by September 22, 2017!

Our plans this week are going to be pretty tight in order to have everything ready to go in time! Especially with classes, other jobs, and events all happening this week too! Even so, we want to be up and operational. 

We’re going to stick to a pretty tight schedule. We need to finish up  some of our artwork, scan everything into the computer, launch into the digital touch-up process, and double test our printing options. 

We have a lot of work ahead of us, but once we power through it, we should have time to fine tune anything that needs tweaking, and do more writing and personal project work, so all in all this is a great step forward! 

We hope we can generate some interest in the shop once we have some examples of our work ready to go!

We are really excited to open shop within the week! 

We have a number of art pieces nearly finished up. Eric has been the most productive in art turnaround time, while I’m still lagging a little behind... But! in any case, the traditional art is done for the most part, and the works are waiting to be scanned so we can start printing properly! A handful of others are still in the works, but we hope to have at least 10 separate prints to offer at shop opening. We’re so close to being ready!

We ran a test drive of the printer to be sure everything comes out properly, and luckily the results were good! We will see to some minor tweaking in the mean time and be ready with prints in hand once we set to open shop so we can get our art out as quickly as possible. 

Fridays are deadline days, so currently, our goal is to be up and running by the end of the week!
