Why Raeliana Ended Up at the Duke's Mansion and Doctor Elise

I'm glad to see that manhwa's are starting to get their own anime adaptions. I learned about them last year and so far the only series that I know of that have gotten their own animes are Why Raeliana Ended Up at the Duke's Mansion and Doctor Elise.

Both Raeliana and Elise are very different series with their own unique storylines, but the one striking similarity between them are the female protagonists are reborn into a new/previous life, scared of their futures and are trying to rewrite their fates while also involving an engagement to their love interests; the male leads.

Why Raeliana Ended Up at the Duke's Mansion Rinko Hanasaki was killed after being pushed off a roof by an unknown individual. She was reborn into the world of a book and finds she has become the side character, Raeliana McMillan who is poisoned by her intended betrothed. Raeliana is determined to avoid dying a second time and strikes a deal with the devious Duke, Noah Wynknight. Raeliana and Noah form a fake engagement, but soon a real love begins to blossom between them and the story has quickly begun to change with Raeliana caught right in the center of things whilst trying to uncover a intriguing mystery involving the whereabouts of the true protagonist of the story, Beatice Tranchett.

Doctor Elise Elise de Clorance was a spoiled and selfish young empress who was executed and burned at the stake by her husband, Emperor Linden Romanoff. Elise was reborn into the modern world as Aoi Takamoto who became a surgeon to atone for her actions from her past life. However, her second life is cut short after she is killed in a plane crash and Elise is reborn back into her first life, but this time... ten years before her death! Elise sets out to make amends to those she hurt and with her medical knowledge, she decides to break off her engagement to the prince and instead wants to become a doctor again in this life. Quickly, Elise manages to reconcile with her loved ones and win the hearts of others, including Prince Linden, who finds himself captivated by Elise's kindness, determination and selflessness as she proves her skill and worthiness as a doctor.

I quickly became hooked on both series after reading about them and trust me when I say the story only keeps getting better and better. Raeliana and Elise are both strong young women that I really love and admire and I LOVE their love stories with Noah and Linden.

Both girls bring out the best in these men, helping them to break down their walls and heal wounds deep within their hearts. What's even better is that both men fall HARD for their girls first and just melt your heart watching as they express their feelings and prove how much they love their girls, doing whatever they can to protect them from danger and simply hate seeing them sad or in pain.

Another thing that both series have in common is that each received 12 episodes for their animes, but that's not nearly enough to cover their entire stories.

Raeliana's series covered roughly 50 chapters in the anime over the course of 12 episodes and it's possible the same could be said for Doctor Elise. However, it's not a complete guarantee since unlike Raeliana, it's pretty clear the Doctor Elise anime will also be including a lot more original anime content, new scenes that weren't included in the manhwa.

I do have an idea about where the anime might end, but it's a mostly a guess so for now, I won't say anything until we get closer to the finale. For now I am going to enjoy the Doctor Elise anime now that it has finally aired and I hope and pray for the return of Why Raeliana Ended Up at the Duke's Mansion to complete the rest of it's story someday.
