Jumping into the #AuthorAugust21 challenge a little late! Today’s topic is inspiration for your WIP. Mine is not a person but a thing. When the idea came to me for this new book it was a slice of a scene from a ballroom. I vividly saw my two main characters dancing with my female MC wearing this stunning dress. But even as they moved across the floor, I felt something was off about them. I knew in my heart they were falling in love, but the people around them were giving them harsh looks, judging them, and I couldn’t figure out why.
