#I love how when I’m in a relationship I don’t really care whether or not an SO gets me anything for Valentine’s Day #(my 2nd year at LSE the guy I was dating got me roses chocolates and a book on anti-semitism. which sounds insane yet is an oddly sweet/ #earnest gesture trying to please a girl you mostly know from a banking and finance class who majors in history w/Russian Language and is #planning on writing her undergrad diss on the Dreyfus Affair) #but if any of my girl friends aren’t #then I’m ordering candy and gifts and pestering my mom to drop off something for my friend who still lives where I’m from #like I just woke up at 3 am this morning. realized I hadn’t gotten anything yet for my best friend from uni who now lives in NYC. and spent #$54 on chocolate (I know the shop it is worth it. turtles + soft centers + peanut butter cups for the win) #whoever takes that order and sees the note is definitely gonna think that’s my gf #oh well. taking a page from the Keith playbook #not the stones #me stuff
