About the eSkootr championship: I don't know where to watch it, it's a new championship, but I know that some of the riders of the Women's European Cup compete in this championship too. One of them, Sara Cabrini, won 2 eSkootr races this year!

I did not know Sara Cabrini takes part in this competition. To be honest, I hear something at the beginning of the eSkootr Championship and then radio silence. Literally all I know is 'there'll be a new racing series, and they will use electric scooters to race'. And honestly I think it's pretty cool.

Now I looked up a bit and I found some interesting facts that are making me considering to follow this series once I found where the fuck do they stream it.

12 out of 30 participants are female. Which means 40% of the participants. Which wow.

Teams choose to have females with them and they are not forced to have them. There a re 10 team (3 riders (?) per team and there's 1 team without a female in it. On the other hand, 3 teams have 2 females. This just tells you that they put the trust in females rater than being forced to have a male-female partnership.

We have a model who is bi racing in the series. She is also bi racial. Her name is Jordan Rand

4. Format is crazy. They do kind of duels, so in the final there will never be the same riders (? I'm nor sere I need to call them), which is crazy

5. There's a pink Scooter

6. The description of some riders include superpowers. Okay they are not superpowers, but is the way the organization has choose to say they are sport person of other sports or other stuff. BMX riding, Ski, Modelling and Field Hockey among others

7. Apparently they use F1-like technology for the scooters, so it's not your regular scooter. And talking about F1, Nico Hülkenberg (and F1 driver) is a team owner of 27X.

And all of that in a 20 minutes search in the web page (got distracted by the photos and the 'superpowers' and by Jordan and that she is not shy about her bisexuality. she wore a pride helmet).

Unfortunatly I have not find any full races anywhere and I don't know where to watch this series, but I definitely will try to follow.

By the way, Sara finished the championship in second place.

Championship Eskootr anuncia acuerdo con Claro Sports

La temporada inaugural del eSkootr Championship™ (eSC) se podrá ver en 18 países de América Latina a través de la multiplaforma Claro Sports y Marca Claro.

La multiplataforma de Claro Sports y Marca Claro llevará a más de 22 millones de hogares en América Latina en países como Argentina, Chile, Colombia, México y Venezuela las emociones de la eSC. Los espectadores disfrutarán de toda la acción de la primera carrera en Londres fue el pasado 13 y 14 de mayo, así como de las otras cinco carreras que tendrán lugar en 2022 totalmente en vivo, además de disfrutar de programas especiales de 90 minutos con lo más destacado de la carrera al siguiente día.

Hay una gran presencia de competidores de la habla hispana en el grupo de competidores, asimismo los fanáticos latinoamericanos apoyar a la colombiana María Paula Arias Medina. Hear E-Prix Champion di Grassi on the future of electric motor sports (including scooters)

Lucas di Grassi is returning to TechCrunch’s stage, and we’re going to talk racing electric vehicles. Again. Because electric is the future of motoring including motorsports.

There’s a lot to talk about with di Grassi. He’s an outspoken proponent of electric vehicles, previously helping to develop Formula E, push forward the AI racing circuit Roborace, and is now developing an international electric race scooter series. He’s seemingly focused on justifying the benefits of electric vehicles in the name of the environment and acts as a Clear Air Advocate for the UN and is organizing a technology and business event for a zero-carbon future in Latin America called Zero Summit.

Di Grassi is a racer in Formula E and a former champion, taking the podium in 2016. Before racing for the series, he helped develop the vehicles used in Formula E. Now, even with his plate full of other projects, he continues to compete in the electric F1 series.

The last time he spoke at a TechCrunch event, he talked extensively on Roborace’s development and arrival. At the time he was the CEO of Roborace, and now, nearly two years later, Roborace still seems like a far-fetched idea.

Di Grassi teamed up with former F1 driver Alex Wurz for a different racing series involving electric scooters. Called eSkootr Championship, the series is said to feature purpose-built scooters that are capable of speeds up to 100 km/h. The pair, along with motorsport entrepreneur CEO Hrak Sarikissian, and COO Khalil Beschir, an F1 broadcaster and former A1 GP racing driver, hope the series’s lower cost of entry will draw racers from different backgrounds and disciplines.
