Straying On The Wild Side Of Driving
In a desperate urge to generate income to pay off her increasingly expensive rent and university fees, Rey decides that the best way to do so is to become a Grab driver by night. The one hitch to this problem? She can't tell first from second gear, neither is she familiar with where the accelerator and brakes are!
Ben is Rey's steadfast roommate and he will always deny it to anyone who teases him, but he has harbored the littlest of crushes on his bubbly and tenacious friend. When she requests for him to give her driving lessons in order to fulfill her goal, he is skeptical as not only does he treat his valued car as reverently as his precious girlfriend, he has seen the way that Rey rides her bicycle and it scares him.
But who is he kidding? He could never say no to the beautiful woman who he shares his home with. Plus… no one could be that bad at driving. Right… Right?!

Excerpt:
"Absolutely not! I refuse to be your teacher. And you will certainly not be using my car either as your casualty. My beautiful car, my precious girlfriend. You will not be wrecking it into a mess of metal." Ben insists firmly as his stare turns stern and firm.
"Really...? Would you hate it so much to give me one driving lesson? Just one. That's all I am asking for. If I crash..." Rey replies in her syrupy voice once more and as Ben's eyes widen considerably, she realizes her poor choice of words and quickly remedies herself "Which I won't! I will do all the chores. For a week. Consider it as your reward. Laundry, mopping, cooking. Everything! I will treat you so well, you will be living like a king! Please, please, please..." Rey begs as she blinks repeatedly at him with her signature puppy dog eyes and it is this tactic that makes Ben cave. He could never reject her whenever she looked at him like that. And this was why she always knew that she could boss him around without any form of retaliation.
With a final groan, Ben covers his face with his hands before saying "Fine... fine! Make that two weeks and you get just one lesson. If you ever so much as mount a kerb, I am taking my car away and leaving you on the streets.".
