he wouldn’t wait to marry you

like at all

the second you show him you’re willing to be in a relationship with him and he’s sure you won’t leave him he’s already planning your wedding

of course if you wanted to take it more slowly he might be a little impatient but he’d try his best for you :)

but he’d be so happy if u were ready to get married as soon as possible

the sad thing is he’d get so stressed while trying to plan it because he’d want it to be absolutely perfect because that’s what he didn’t get with christine

and he’d try to convince you not to worry about it or help plan the wedding becaus he wants it to be a surprise for you

however he’d talk to you about what you want <3

so unfortunately he doesn’t know a lot of people 😭 so your wedding audience consists of daroga, mme giry, and maybe christine and raoul if ur lucky and manage to convince them (but they’ll be a little on edge)

and u can invite ur family if they’d be accepting of erik!

once y’all are married it’s so sweet and romantic ohmygod

he’d make u breakfast and dinner every single day, even if he’s had a particularly bad day

he just loves doing things for you

he’d also love writing even more songs and sometimes even entire operas for you or about you, you’re his muse

before he was able to take breaks from bis work to focus on you for awhile

but now you’re married he just can’t be away from you for two minutes

will sit on the floor and talk to u while u shower

or he showers with u

his love language is spontaneously twirling u around and redoing ur wedding dance in the most random places

also carrying u to ur bed if u fall asleep on him or somewhere else, before marriage he’d just let u sleep there and make sure he doesn’t wake u up

but that’s only because he takes a lot of time working out when and where to propose and shit

and then probably has the wedding planned before you even say yes

which obviously you do

he’d be a little cocky abt u saying yes ngl cause he already knew u would

but the wedding itself obviously takes place at night and mainly other vampires will show up, but he won’t let them remotely near you assuming he hasn’t turned you yet

if he has then go talk to them!! there’s no risk of u dying or getting turned by someone else!!

he’d also rlly like cooking for u and shit since he canonically had to sprint around his castle to make it seem like he had butlers or whatever 😭😭

and obviously he has a comfortable ass vampire bed that he’d let u put 60 pillows on if u want

he’d also like have a thing for ur hair no matter how short or long it is

he likes standing behind u and running his hands through it when u do literally anything for funsies

and his fingers are really pretty and long and cold so they feel nice

he also brushes it a lot esp in the mornings

he also doesn’t even look another persons way when he’s with u

ever.

and his brides are now just. draculas sisters or wtv 😭

unless u want them to be ur wives too he won’t complain

as much as he loves you there’s time where he js like. wants personal time to go kill people think

id also imagine ur very close with renfield

like draculas kinda mean to him but ur rlly nice to him <3

like for example waving at him when u see him or just going “hi renfield!!”

╰┈➤ CARMILLAS NOTES: aww tysm!! seward is so real tbh without him n mina nothing would’ve gotten done also forgive me for any mischaracterization this is the first time i’ve written for him

╰┈➤ WARNINGS: dracula (hes his own warning)

rahhh when he proposes it’s in more of a remote area without any people around except for maybe some friends

he’s very sincere and heartfelt while he does it

the millisecond you say yes he’s taking you out to celebrate

i feel like seward isn’t a big fan of going out, but he’ll do it for you

he spends a pretty long time planning the wedding because he wants everything to be perfect and will genuinely tweak out if something is off even a little

he also goes over the details with you a lot to make sure it’s exactly how you want it

especially in the month leading up to the wedding he’s really stressed and it’s extremely obvious because he’s very overworked

being a doctor about to get married in victorian times isn’t easy

so you have to get him to take a break and calm down for a few days before letting him go back to working

when the day actually comes though and everything is ready and you’re actually at the alter he’s the calmest he’s ever been since planning it started

it’s genuinely the best night of his life and he’s so happy everything went perfectly

even if it didn’t he didn’t care in the end because he was still able to get married peacefully

becomes the most overprotective husband in the world

he’s not overprotective in a controlling or possessive way, more just if you’re going out he’d prefer to come with you or have someone he knows with you

he’d probably also would absolutely refuse to take the ring off, even if he’s showering or going to bed the ring is staying on his finger

he thinks it’s wrong for him to take it off, especially in public because he is married and he doesn’t want the wrong attention from anyone

also prefers if you keep yours on as well, but doesn’t force

he just politely asks that you try to keep it on your finger as much as possible but is very understanding if you have to take it off for whatever reason

if you get married before dracula comes to england and seward knows he’s a vampire, the overprotectiveness becomes much worse

and he once again becomes extremely stressed out

if you’re going on a walk, he’ll be coming with you, if for whatever reason you want to talk to renfield (??) he stays in the room just in case

basically because he’s a bit paranoid (and rightfully so) you do almost everything with him there and if it’s something that needs privacy he’s never far away

if dracula takes a step closer than ten feet seward is there within a split second and ready to do whatever he needs

after dracula is killed and they get back from transylvania, he becomes much more calm again

god forbid you get married while dracula is in england itd be horrible

he might call the wedding off altogether for both of your guys’ sake

his love language is acts of service and he loves doing things for you

it would’ve happened a lot before you got married but even more afterwards

he’s not a very skilled cook but he starts to learn how to get better and cooks for you three or four times a week

will also hold open doors, pull your chair out, just regular things a decent man would do

he’s not very picky with your love language and i think he wouldn’t really care what it is, but he’d have a soft spot for gift giving

no matter what you give him he will cherish it forever and always keep it in a special place

he’s very caring (but a little avoidant) when your sick, like he brings you whatever you ask for and nurses you back to health, but he himself doesn’t want to be sick so he stays away if he can, even when you guys are married

but he also becomes clingy when he’s sick so he’s a bit hypocritical

he secretly likes doing your hair for you

if you ask him to brush it for you he’ll act like he doesn’t want to but he never ever says no

if you have longer hair he likes to braid it before you sleep and if it’s shorter he likes just brushing it

if you have no hair he likes helping with your outfits instead (if you have hair you can wear whatever you want as long as it’s not like barely anything cause it IS the 1800s)

he will feel so bad if you guys have a fight

it most likely happens in the weeks leading up to the wedding when he’s especially stressed

he’ll take accountability and be able to acknowledge that he was in the wrong for yelling at you because he was stressed and immediately asks how to make it up to you

overall he’s a very caring husband who would do pretty much anything for you while still having his boundaries
