So for the monster wrangler I had an idea that when they get there they lose some of there monsters and have to go searching for them before they can head back home. They had about 10 on hand, but when they get thrown into the Personaverse they only have 2. This makes them extremely worried for their friends safety in a very strange and dangerous world even though there safe within magical capsules ( magical capsules are just pokeball's and there an actual item that's used in the anime). This would of course bring in the theives who would want to help there new friend ( and I imagine they would be incredibly interested to know about the wranglers other monsters and what they can do)
What do you think?
A very plausible scenario especially if how DQ arrives is quite violent. There's also the potential chaos if some capsules ended up in the real world than just the Metaverse. Even moreso should one hold a Giant monster as those beasties are Kaiju sized.
The Phantom Thieves would definitely help their new companion find the rest of their team. DQ filled them on what to look for but also what to do should a capsule release a monster by chance. Best to avoid any potential friendly fire.

Saw the 25th Anniversary of DQM on YT today and broke down in tears. I love this game series. So. Much.
I can't believe it's been 25 YEARS of Dragon Quest Monsters, I'm only 22 and this has been a BIG part of my childhood like, through thick and thin, through living in a house/apartment to living in a car/on the streets; EVERYTHING. I can't wait to see the more people fall in love with the new and older games of DQM, so-
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! 🎉🎉🎉

Finally back with an update to my game progress. Spring Break is here so I have a lot of free time, which means updating more! I finally used the Water Key and entered the next world, and have been breezing by most of it. I started to encounter some M sized monsters, but they’ve been very easy to take down, despite their size. Besides this game, I’ve also been playing the 3DS version of “Severed”, which is SO GOOD. I’ve also been playing Theaterhythm Final Bar Line on the Switch, and it’s more challenging than it’s 3DS predecessors! I’ll try to keep you guys updated as the week continues.

But seriously, let's talk about DQM2: Iru and Luca's Horrific Control Scheme, it is the worst thing in existence and I have no idea who approved of it. Let's take a look...
The Control Stick: Is required to navigate the overworld. Does literally nothing in menus, including dialogue selection.
The D-Pad: Is required to navigate menus and dialogue selection. In the overworld, is used to interact with various monsters in an attempt to rob them, but you still need to run after them with the control stick. It will not let you move.
The Touch Screen: Does nothing but let you move the map around to look at the terrain. Also probably still lets you move your menu icons around, but I haven't tried it because I'm fine with them where they are.
Seriously, who thought this was a good idea?

i was gonna compile a list of all the monsters that appear in the demo of dqm3, but they give you access to synthesis which just blasts the possibilities wide open so i am not going to do that. i looked at all the monsters i could potentially make with the monsters i have right now and i am full of excitement, this game is going to be incredible
so many new friends, so many old friends that have never appeared in a game that was localised, so many old friends that have only appeared in dragon warrior era localisations and finally have updated names.
the TreeSlime from dqm1 and dqm2 is finally called buddy slime.

playing dqm terry's wonderland after playing joker 3 following me hacking my 3ds has been night and day
for every recolored monster i saw in dqm1, i would have seen at least 5 more in dqmj3, the differences in those two similarly sized rosters is honestly staggering
i don't want to turn this post into full total dqmj3 slander but every thing i like from that game was matched by something just as annoying. i still like it but i can understand that it didn't do well on its initial release (aka not pro)
with all that said tho both games are fun, but enjoying dqm1 3d a lot more so far. i'm not sure if i'll play dqm2 before release tho as i don't want to burn out on this series before dark prince releases
i'll probably wait for the impossible switch ports, or the offchance that the mobilecports gets translated.
i've waited for dq7's 3ds version to get translated for years already

DQM2 isn't a bad game by any means, but it's really making me appreciate all the qol things pokemon has that I always took for granted.

What part of the story of Persona 5 do you think would be a good introduction for the Wrangler. Before the first Palace or after the the first?
Mementos after the first Palace. Completely unfamiliar terrain and unaware of near lethal encounter with the Reaper is a better scenario to have. Plus it pieces together some things as DQ can take out Shadow since they aren't monsters.
A brand new situation and the only help are these strange humans.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Alright!
I'M OKAY!
Ridiculous childhood nostalgia based hype, ASIDE, I can finally play the DQM2 remake in english and I'm about to cry about it ;-;
While it's a bit out of nowhere, this might have to be my next game purely out of nostalgia and excitement, or maybe I'll just play it off-screen and post pictures whenever the nostalgia says "SCREAM ABOUT IT A BIT", I don't know, we're mid-yakuza 6 right now and my free time is spent on revisiting MH4U, we'll see, but dang!
Spent a long while trying to get the first remake patched and it's been a bit of a wall, but then on a whim I checked the second and it was a much smoother process :P

A little bit late to posting this, but here's another post! Something I found out while looking up info about this game is that an iPhone version of this game was released in Japan back in 2020! The title being Dragon Quest Monsters 2: Iru and Luca's Marvelous Mysterious Key SP, and added around 100 monsters to the game, some being from DQXI! I should also point out that a remake of the 1st DQM game also came out on the 3DS, I might get around to playing it at some point.

Progress was pretty steady today, I beat 2 more bosses (mid-bosses?) and technically completed the first world. There's still more to find in it, so I'm probably gonna come back at some point. There was a slight plot twist that caught me off guard towards the end of it, but I'm not gonna say what it was 🫢. I wanna give a shout-out to all the people who liked and reblogged my previous posts, and shout-out to my followers, I didn't expect a lot of traction, so this is awesome! Hope you guys will stay with me as I update my blog 🥰!
