like 90% of the time when you see screencaps of someone engaging in vile rhetoric against fellow marginalised ppl you go to their profile and scroll down and its just their sad venting about how they want to die or are trying not to self harm

its very sad obvs but like

also an example of why you should block and not engage. a sad and lonely person who's viciously trying to attack other marginalised ppl, esp other marginalised ppl they feel threatened by or jealous of, doing it bc they have no other life, will not learn or be convinced

like they are deep in a hole and they have to make the choice to climb out on their own. in the meantime they will attack anybody who seems in any way happy or satisfied, and they will not learn or grow bc you engage w them and try to explain you have feelings

this is a person that knows they are harming others. they want to harm others because they feel like if they can make other ppl feel as bad as they do, things might change, or they might not feel so alone. they want to feel important or powerful, because they don't feel they are

this is why like. the 4chan mentality is so cancerous btw bc this is what these ppl end up like. like angrily saying as many slurs as they can as loud as they can because maybe then someone will care about them

you might think its a pathetic or revolting behaviour, and thats fair, but its still the behaviour of a very hurt and damaged person who is too frightened to grow or change, or extend the vulnerability of care or trust to others. calling them out won't change them

you don't owe these people sympathy or anything, bc ultimately like. they are choosing these toxic spaces and behaviours, they are rejecting alternatives

but its easier to automatically block when you understand these ppl do not want to change. they just want you to be hurt too.

don't go and harass this person, if you want to search their profile just block and move on but. see how sad and hurting this person is? see how when they pivot to posting hate, they get attention when their pain didn't work?

that's the root of this behaviour. block and move on.

Okay nah day = ruined.

Idk if a lot of you were around when this happened but like a month or so ago there was a cunt harassing my best friend Rome who has a blog on here bc they simply didn't want to do a request someone asked for. And this cunt was going round saying Rome is a piece of shit, judges ppl for what they are into etc etc and then even started sending asks to other ppl associated with Rome to say they are being manipulated by Rome, including myself receiving a few. All this was anonymous btw but then they finally slipped up:

And so obvs now knowing who the asshole was I blocked them. Or so I thought. Cuz then I got this last night (only just saw it now tho)

So turns out you can only block users via your side account IF they send you an ask. I didn't know that and just clicked on their page to block them. That just meant they couldn't view my main blog anymore. I've now blocked this fucker finally for good tho but I'm just so angry yknow? Tumblr needs to change this big time. Why is everything only accessible to do through your main blog? Why can't you do anything via a side blog?? This goes for answering comments in posts, sending asks etc as well. It just fucking sucks.

Anyway, idk how to end this but yeah if you're an asshole I don't want you here. Period. Like you actually disgust me for being horrible to others. And that's all I'll say abt this. Going to answer the actually fun asks now but yeah oof.
