Hi! can i request (funny? soft?) headcanons of maul trying to cook a meal for his s/o after living his entire life on ration bars?

A/N: Wow so this only took me like over a month to post? omg sorry I kinda forgot about it and was working on combining it with the Savage request and then because I was feeling silly I made a silly Feral one that no one requested (so i went full troll on it) I hope y’all enjoy these. I don’t know if I fully get how to write head canons, but I’m trying 🤷‍♂️

Ok, so he is a carnivore and does not understand omnivore or vegetarian cooking at all, but he wants to impress you, a vegetarian, so bad.

He tries to watch some cooking videos, but gets impatient with the pacing of them and mostly skims through them, feeling like “he gets it already”

He makes a grocery list, but at the store realizes he has no idea what most of these things even are.

He panic buys a bunch of different produce.

He does not have time to ask the clerks where the items he needs are, and those recipes are probably stupid anyway.

At home he realizes once again he has no idea what he is doing and looks up what he can do with the stuff he did buy

He is watching the videos and actually getting into them now

Cutting the vegetables up actually kind of makes him gag he does not understand how or why anyone would WANT to eat these

But he is extremely determined to make this meal and to make it right

It ends up being a beautifully orchestrated meal with several courses, even dessert.

even he ends up liking it a little (though he is really craving meat of course, he does not say this to you)

He finds he absolutely adores making desserts.

i dunno if youre requests are still open but can i ask for savage headcanons if his s/o was trying to teach him how to cook?

He is completely clueless about cooking, but very excited to learn a new skill

He diligently follows all your instructions and loves chopping veggies

he loves snacking on the ingredients as he cooks even as you playfully tease him not to, that just makes him want to do it more.

he loves wearing the frilly aprons he finds in your kitchen

When you teach him about spices and what goes good with what, he gets a little overwhelmed at first until you start taste testing and making different sauces with him.

He gets so into making sauces now and perfecting them; aiolis, hollandaise, gravy, anything creamy is his absolute favorite to make and eat, but he also loves making things spicy too.

He does everything by taste and smell now, and can’t be bothered to measure most ingredients out

When he makes a meal it is large with a well balanced flavor profile.

He can’t really get into making desserts, he loves savory things so much more.

Feral cooking head canons

He is so nervous to invite you over for dinner and trying to plan the perfect meal

When you show up, he is noticeably flustered but kind and sweet as usual

He seats you at the dining room table as he goes to finish up in the kitchen

The time it took to welcome you in, he had somehow completely burned the roast he was making

you notice a burning smell and start to wander in to the kitchen to investigate

It looks like he is climbing out the window

He explains that he is just stretching and the smoke is from the smoked nerf he was making in the oven

How did he get Nerf on Dathomir? Oh well, stranger things have happened of course

you go back to the dining room confused, but hopeful about the meal.

Feral rushes out the window across the street to the Lean Lizard Cafe to order Rancor Ribs

When he returns with a platter of ribs you question what happened to the smoked nerf?

Feral claims that on Dathomir they refer to Rancor Ribs as Smoked Nerf

You remind Feral that you also grew up on Dathomir and had never heard that before

He says it was maybe just a phrase he used within his nightbrother clan.

You point out how similar these Rancor Ribs are to the Lean Lizard’s recipe

Feral excuses himself to the kitchen to think of another excuse, only to learn that he had left the oven on and the kitchen was now engulfed in flames

He tries to rush you out of the house, but you see the flames licking away at the kitchen and ask him about it.

He is rushing you out of his house babbling on about how it is a flamewind from asteroids and nothing to worry about

You compliment him on the Smoked Nerf and head home as the Nightbrother Fire Department rushes to put out the fire in Feral’s house
