the way that they completely subverted what many (myself included!) feared abt Camila being some sorta distant and misunderstanding mother and instead revealed how supportive she'd been - and is! - and explained the more recent stuff with the camp as her simply trying to do what might have been best for Luz after being overwhelmed by the negativity around them rather than just being some cold parental figure is easily one of my favorite things about the show

that scene in Camila's bedroom genuinely had me on the verge of tears
