I really crave some cute fluffy romcom series right now and because romcoms happen only during summer in diziland I had to be open to completely different areas.

(Note: there are dizis I want to watch like Afili aşk, I'm just not in the mood for that rn, I don't even know why)

After checking the romcom tag on here (yeah yeah..., I AM pretty desperate though) I stumbled upon kdramas and well... I have nothing to loose right?

So after checking plot of some series mentioned I settled on Touch Your Heart (진심이 닿다) (2019) which promises cute fluffy relationship without excessive drama.

And let me tell you, I enjoy it A LOT so far. I'm half way into episode 3 and gosh, it's really good. Completely different but really good.

More thoughts below

I love it. I love that we went at hyper speed from complete enemies to decent colleagues within 2 episodes! That's amazing lol. And it didn't feel rushed at all. It felt really natural and completely believable.

I feel like the first episode felt a tiny bit off at times but what series doesn't have a somewhat rocky start? So overall I was really satisfied with the first episode and even more with the second!

One would assume that the (almost ex-) movie star would be this superficial and rude person. But quite the opposite is true actually! Within the first 2 eps the depth of the character is noticable and I love that. I really do. I love that one party is not really that bad that would require the grand major character development in order for the couple to be happy.

They both have their flaws but they actually try to work on them to make the situation they're in somewhat comfortable.

So I really enjoy it. I feel like there's quite a lot of side characters and I have a bit of a problem remembering who is who but that's not something negative about the series.

The only thing that's really hard for me are the names. I mean when they refer to each other as Mr. Kwon and Ms. (I honestly don't know😅) it's alright. But with the full names I really don't know what's the given name and how I should refer to the characters lol 😂. That will get settled for me I hope though.

The thing I find somewhat annoying are the excessive sound effects. Sometimes there could be less of that and I wouldn't mind at all! It's noticable, but it's nothing terrible.

Also the amount of product placement caught me off guard. I'm not that against PP (like, I don't like it, but I know the series gets money to actually shoot from that, most of the times it's just silly) but it really shocked me that there was that much of it right from the beginning. Like in dizis PP can be seen only in later episodes when the series and it's rating is worth the cost for the advertisers. So it surprised me lol.

FINAL THOUGHT

I really enjoy it so far and I will definitely continue because I'm eager to find out how this story unfolds.

So overall I highly recommend!!!

the way this dizi pisses me off but i can't stop watching it like ... i recognize the aşk-ı memnu influences but it just don't work Ms Över & Ms Semerci !!!! feraye and yaman will NEVER be bihter and behlül nevermind the fact that feraye has better chemistry with ateş anyways (and he's also a much better person than him too 😭) yaman's toxicity just isn't sexy nor captivating and neither is his relationship w feraye. it's not the fact that ateş is a good person and that's why feraye is better off with him, no it's the fact that the toxic relationship she shares with yaman is boring and eye-roll inducing (bc it's so easily solveable by just telling her the truth that he got blackmailed into marrying her sister !!!!!) but the toxic relationship she has with ateş in contrast is actually delicious and actually thrilling ("i could fall in love with you bc you're so much better for me than yaman but i am carrying yaman's baby ... your niece" now THAT is actually something not solveable by just telling the truth THAT is why their toxic relationship is so much more engaging to watch) ugh. turkish dizi and the way they never choose the right ship 😮‍💨😮‍💨
