Goddd cahara’s canon(ish) ending KILLS me.

Getting to the dungeons for the other 3 playable characters is something that’s essential for their goals. Ragnvaldr wants to avenge his family, D’arce wants to rescue her love, Enki wants to ascend to godhood. For ragnvaldr and D’arce nothing else matters to them except Le’garde- it feels like they’re both on suicide missions where they don’t care what happens to them after their quest. None of them really have anything waiting for them- Enki believes in his own future, but it’s a very self absorbed one.

Meanwhile this is just a job to Cahara. A very valuable one, but he has no personal stake in Le’garde. He does everything for the people he has waiting for him, Celeste and her child. He’s the only one who has a life to get back to.

And he’s the one who dies alone in the dungeons, with no one to tell his family what happened.
