If you ever encounter a scene with an explosion of colour, one of the easier things to spot is the odd one standing out from the crowd. . Scan the bed of flowers in front and you will instantly see one that’s a different colour, a different type of flower, one that may be facing the opposite direction from the rest, or one that happens to be glowing from the sun. . There’s a lot to look for but fun to look for at the same time. Be sure to compose them in a way so the background isn’t distracting, and you keep our attention on the one flower. . Oh Christmas Tree! . I may be a little late but this tree is nicknamed The Christmas Tree as the shape resembles the perfect tree for the holidays. It sits on top of a hill all by itself and when it snows, it’s a pure joy to photograph. . There’s only one problem. With absolutely nothing around it, finding a composition that works may be harder than you think. Where do I position the tree in the frame? . There are many options but finding the right one—the most effective one—can be challenging. . Two pictures taken at the same place but at slightly different times, using two different cameras. . One is taken with my iPhone, and the other with a Nikon Z 7. Which one is which? . The first image is a long exposure which affects the water, clouds, and the vibrancy of the colours, while the other used a faster shutter speed. .
