EL PASO, Texas., martes 25 de julio de 2023.-Los chihuahuas traen de vuelta “Las mejores camisetas deportivas” para la celebración del décimo año, presentado por GECULa camiseta con cara de perro de los Chihuahuas, que causó sensación a nivel nacional, está regresando en 2023Las camisetas se usarán el jueves 27 de julio como parte de GECU Bark at the Park.

EL PASO, Texas – 25 de julio de 2023 – ¡Ha vuelto! Apodada como "las mejores camisetas deportivas" por USA Today en 2014, la camiseta con cara de perro de los Chihuahuas, que causó sensación a nivel nacional, está regresando en 2023 luciendo un poco más vieja.

En honor a la celebración del décimo año, presentada por GECU, las camisetas con cara de perro se usarán durante GECU Bark at the Park, el jueves 27 de julio, cuando los chihuahuas se enfrenten al Round Rock Express (afiliado de los Texas Rangers). El primer lanzamiento está programado para las 6:35 p.m.

Las camisetas de 2023 presentan la cara de un chihuahua que encarna el espíritu de la marca. El chihuahua muestra signos de envejecimiento después de 10 años con pelaje blanco y gris, a diferencia de la camiseta con cara de perro original de 2014.

Las camisetas, usadas durante la campaña inaugural de los Chihuahuas en 2014, fueron nombradas "las mejores camisetas deportivas" por USA Today y usadas en SportsCenter de ESPN y por el expresentador de ESPN2, Keith Olbermann. También aparecieron en Sporting News, FoxSports.com, SB Nation y Bleacher Report, por nombrar algunos.

Las camisetas usadas en el juego se subastarán y las ganancias beneficiarán a organizaciones locales sin fines de lucro a través de la Fundación El Paso Chihuahuas. La subasta de camisetas está en vivo ahora y concluye con el out final del juego el sábado 29 de julio. Los chihuahuas se reservan el derecho de negar la entrada a cualquier perro y/o pedirle a cualquier perro y a su dueño que se vayan. Los chihuahuas proporcionarán agua para los perros alrededor del estadio. El cuidado y control de la mascota mientras se encuentra en Southwest University Park es responsabilidad exclusiva del dueño del perro.

 Nah, agar kondisi anjing tetap terjaga, yuk coba simak cara merawat anjing dengan benar!

1. Berikan Makan yang Bernutrisi

Cara merawat anak anjing hingga dewasa adalah dengan memberikan makanan yang tepat. Intinya agar perkembangan hewan dapat sesuai dengan usianya.

Makanan yang sehat saja tidaklah cukup. Kamu harus memberikan makanan dengan intensitas yang sesuai usianya.

Adapun intensitas memberi makan anjing dilansir dari American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) adalah sebagai berikut:

Anak anjing berusia 8-12 minggu membutuhkan makan 4 kali sehari

Anak anjing berusia 3-6 bulan membutuhkan makan 3 kali sehari

Anak anjing berusia 6-12 bulan membutuhkan makan 2 kali sehari

Anjing berusia 1 tahun ke atas biasanya cukup makan 1 kali sehari

Untuk beberapa anjing, yang rentan kembung, beri makan 2 kali sehari dalam porsi kecil

Berikan anjing makanan yang bernutrisi untuk memenuhi kebutuhan gizinya. Misalnya dengan memperhatikan protein, lemak, vitamin, dan mineralnya.

Kamu dapat membeli makanan khusus anjing dengan kualitas premium yang menyediakan diet seimbang di toko hewan.

Hindari memberikan makanan manusia kepada anjing. Hal ini dapat menyebabkan ketidakseimbangan vitamin dan mineral yang memicu masalah tulang dan gigi. Nantinya anjing juga menjadi lebih pilih-pilih makanan.

Selain makanan, pastikan kamu menyediakan air bersih dan segar untuk minum anjing. Bersihkan pula piring makanan anjing secara rutin.

2. Memberikan Vaksin

Pada usia tiga bulan, pelindung antibodi yang secara alami diturunkan melalui susu induknya telah habis dan anak anjing Anda perlu divaksinasi untuk membantu melindungi mereka dari penyakit menular, seperti leptospirosis, distemper, dan parvovirus, vaksinasi serta rabies.

Dokter hewan Anda juga dapat merekomendasikan vaksinasi untuk jenis penyakit lainnya.

Pemberian vaksin secara rutin akan membuat anjing terlindungi dan membuat imunitas mereka makin kebal.

3. Kunjungi Dokter Secara Rutin

Anjing membutuhkan kunjungan rutin ke dokter untuk memastikan kesehatannya. Pemeriksaan kesehatan tahunan atau bulanan memberi dokter hewan Anda kesempatan untuk mengatasi penyakit atau masalah kesehatan apa pun sejak awal, sebelum menyebabkan masalah yang lebih besar.

Dokter hewan akan bertanya tentang perilaku, makan, dan kebiasaan aktivitas fisik anjing Anda, sambil memeriksa statistik vital.

Periksakan anjing Anda di klinik hewan yang memiliki fasilitas memadai dan dokter bersertifikat.

4. Sediakan Tempat Istirahat

Anjing membutuhkan tempat tinggal yang hangat dan tenang untuk beristirahat. Berikan anjing tempat tidur, selimut, dan bantal yang hangat dan bersih. Hal ini akan membantunya tidur lebih nyenyak.

5. Ajak Anjing Latihan Fisik

Akan tetapi, kebutuhan latihan tiap anjing bervariasi tergantung ras, jenis kelamin, usia, dan tingkat kesehatan. Oleh karena itu, permainan yang diawasi sesuai dengan kebutuhan anjing akan sangat menyenangkan baginya.

JIka anjing atau anak anjing kelelahan, cobalah untuk menggendongnya. Untuk menggendong anak anjing atau anjing kecil, letakkan satu tangan di bawah dada anjing, dengan lengan bawah atau tangan lainnya menopang kaki belakang dan pantat.

Jangan pernah mencoba mengangkat atau memegang anak anjing atau anjing kecil kamu dengan kaki depan, ekor, atau leher belakang. Jika kamu memang harus mengangkat anjing besar, angkat dari bawah, dukung dadanya dengan satu tangan dan ujung belakangnya dengan tangan lainnya.

6. Jaga Kebersihan Anjing

Kebersihan anjing harus terjaga agar anjing dapat hidup lebih sehat. Kebersihan anjing juga dapat memberikan dampak positif bagi pemiliknya.

Sebab, ada beberapa penyakit anjing yang dapat menular ke manusia. Oleh karena itu, anjing wajib mandi rutin untuk menghilangkan kotoran dan kutu di badannya.

Little Kittens must have had at least two doses of all of these vaccinations. The first dose may be given when two months old and the second dose is given two to three weeks later. Both little kittens and puppies can be shipped no less than four weeks after the second dose.

1. Health Certificate, within 10 days of departure, your pets must have an original Health Certificate issued by appropriate government office if originating elsewhere, other than Bahrain.

Vaccination and deworming regime

Vaccinating your dog is the single most and first step every pet owners needs to do. It’s the easiest way to prevent certain dangerous diseases ensuring a healthy happy pet, but how often and how much does it cost?

Vaccinations in dogs

6 weeks- PARVO (1000-1500ksh) 8-9 weeks- DHLP + RABIES(2500-3500ksh) 12 Weeks- DHLP+ RABIES(2500-3500ksh) 16 Weeks- DHLP+ RABIES(2500-3500ksh)

After that DHLP+ RABIES is repeated annually

Note: the parvo vaccine given at 6 weeks is very important for the survival of the puppy, we see so many cases at the clinic where the owner was informed that the puppy is vaccinated sometimes with proof of vaccination but the puppy ends up getting infected with parvo.

Please make sure you either see the vaccinations happening your self or you revaccinate the puppy, some of the vaccination cards given are fake, with fake stickers and signatures. A genuine vaccination certificate will have a vaccination sticker with the veterinarians signature or stamp and most importantly the KVB number of the veterinarian.

Deworming regime

For puppies Every 2 weeks upto 8 weeks of age Then at 12 and 16 Weeks Then every 3 months 1 tablet costs from 100-200ksh

Puppies are dewormed every 2 weeks because of their tendencies to scavenge and eat almost anything.

Regular deworming helps keep your pets in optimum health, all pets have a large variety of endoparasites I.e. the worms inside their body that need to be removed. These worms take away the vital nutrients from the food causing weight loss, lethargy, diarrhea, poor coat, pale gums, scooting e.t.c.

For dogs, it is  DHLP Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Parvovirus, and they must have had at least two doses of these vaccines. Small puppies must have had at least two doses of all these vaccinations. The first dose may be given at two months old and the second dose is given two to three weeks later.

For cats, the vaccines are for Rabies, Feline Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus and Panleukopenia, and they must have had at least two doses of these vaccines. Little Kittens must have had at least two doses of all of these vaccinations. The first dose may be given when two months old and the second dose is given two to three weeks later. Both little kittens and puppies can be shipped no less than four weeks after the second dose.

We would need the following for Import Permit:

1. Health Certificate, within 10 days of departure, your pets must have an original Health Certificate issued by appropriate government office if originating elsewhere, other than Bahrain.

2. Import Permit - all pets arriving into Bahrain need an Import Permit. Our Pet relocation specialist will obtain this on your behalf.
