While y/n Cookie is working at the TBD. y/n Cookie is in the break room, talking and laughing heartily with the other employees. Dark Fondue sees this and, calls y/n cookie to their office for "important talks".

“I’ve been expecting you, my handycookie~”

You close the door before immediately turning to Dark Fondue Cookie, asking that she knocks off the pleasantries and get to the point.

“Is it so wrong to want to talk the employee that’s got the TBD buzzed about important matters?”

It’s suspicious when she calls you in here after spotting her back at the doorway of the break room half an hour ago. Always with that shadow over her eyes, that smile…

“I’m just curious on how you can give everyone else your attention and yet, poor little me doesn’t even get a hello on some days.”

Her office was not on route of your work station, she values time being used efficiently, right?

“I’ve seen you take this hallway many times before, the least you can do is give me a wave hello. It always makes my day~”

“Yet, there I saw you. Mingling with your other coworkers like it was no problem. I’d let it go if was the more competent cookies, but you give those two at the Relic Management your time as well? You’ve seen how…extravagant their praise for you gets, yet you still speak to them.”

Schneeball and Maple Taffy Cookie are a bit…odd, but you got your stuff back in the end, so it was water under the bridge now.

“If it has to come to this, maybe some of those cookies will have to turn in resignation letters soon.”

This came out of left field as you were taken aback by shock.

She…she wouldn’t! Your peers hadn’t done anything wrong!

“You’d be right, but I have been meaning to speak to Cookie Resources about the standards and qualifications we should hold employees to. Cookies like you will be doing just fine, but a number of employees won’t be fitting of those standards. We can’t afford any errors and mistakes, can we?”

“Personally, if signed off, I wouldn’t mind letting go those employees myself. I’d like to see the faces of those that take up so much time of my little handycookie for when I fire them~”

You were ready to head out for the day, work in the lower levels wasn’t easy, but it came with the territory. You put away your equipment at your station before heading to the elevator as you pressed the button.

“Hold the elevator for me, Y/N Cookie~”

Crumbs. (Sonic drowning theme plays)

You subtly, but rapidly, kept pressing the elevator button. Fortuna please, this was the last thing you wanted today, you were right there-

Dark Fondue made it inside before the elevator door closed a mere second afterwards.

“Thank you, you’re such a gentleman/lady~”

Cue one awkward elevator ride as Dark Fondue tried to get as close as possible to you, asking if you happened to be free tonight~

Bake It till You Make It

“What a beautiful cake! Do you have any plans to visit the Republic? Would you be interested in opening a branch there?”

Your baking career has led you to opening up shop in the Creme Republic, after a long negotiation with Clotted Cream Cookie. This place definitely had a different vibe then back home, but hey, the republicans seem to really love your cakes, so you learned to stick to it.

“This cake tasted so amazing! If it’s not much a problem…can I order another?”

“It was perfect! Not even the republic’s bakers can match your level, they can learn from you!”

“Looked and tasted as great as I thought it would! I’m definitely coming back here..”

What happy customers…a little too happy…

Oh well, next!

“O-oh, I was just happening to be walking by when I saw this cake shop, I thought it would be a good opportunity to visit.”

You thanked the woman, with the reputation of the republic, still hearing that they’d be interested in visiting your little cake shop over the more fancy restaurants made you feel honored.

“If it’s not too much to ask, may I request a cake?”

You readied your notepad.

“Hold your tongue! The Eighth Watcher would never let themselves freeze, they’re stronger then that. We should take this as a sign that they’re out there instead!”

Bittersweet just looked to the ever expansive tundra of snow, with you on Bittersweet’s mind.

The Second Watcher refused to believe you were frozen crumbs, you HAD to be out there somewhere.

The Bittersweet Watcher also wanted to hope you were out there as well, everyone has been a little down on morale, including Bittersweet.

Caramel Arrow did help with matters…but…

The Watchers just felt empty without you…

Clotted Cream Cookie had to walk around with a shield you casted on him for the rest of the council meetings, your ancient cookie pals would be incredibly hostile towards him, especially if you were nearby.

The squad would never leave your side ever since Clotted’s proposal, they were too worried that this cookie may try to pull a fast one and rob your Soul Jam!

It’s only normal that the best of friends look out for one another! Pure Vanilla thinks that time spent together can really bring you all closer together.

That would be a good idea if it weren’t for the fact that they were trying to kil-WHITE LILY PUT THOSE POISONOUS LILES DOWN!

She swears that she’s only handling a problem before it gets worse. No cookie will take advantage of you when she’s around! So she…plans on taking Clotted out of the picture so he won’t bother you anymore!

You would sigh as you gave White Lily a gentle bonk on the head. No, White Lily, that was not the way of the ancient heroes.

The six dragons were flying about in the islands, it was time they all got a pile of fresh air, especially dragons that remain cooped up in their palace all day…Lotus…

It was also a time the five wanted to spend time with you not having to worry about anything. Longan’s plan could wait just a little longer if it meant getting to see you more often.

And so, the five dragons soared through the sky, flapping their wings at different rates-five?

The dragons looked around for their missing sixth, only to see you lagging behind as you flapped your wings slower then theirs.

Lychee giggled as they watch you try to keep up with the others, who now have stopped their flying to allow you to catch up.

“Hehehe, come on Y/N Dragon Cookie! Don’t be a slowpoke now!”

Yep. This old dragon cookie was slowing down..

The other dragons’ eyes widen at your statement, now being reminded of your old and possibly declining self.

Chocolate Frosting took a deep breathe as she waited outside your work, holding a lunch in her hands. She knew things wouldn’t be how it was last time, so she hoped this lunch would be a good start to repairing the friendship between her and Y/N Cookie.

Legitimately shocked when you walked followed by a crowd of cookies, you were surprised to see Chocolate Fudge, but others recognized her immediately.

“Hey! What are you doing here!? I thought it was clear that that you and Y/N Cookie are over!”

Chocolate Frosting tried to explain herself by saying she brought a lun-

“But we already have plans for a lunch break with Y/N! I made sure to write it all down here!”

“Sorry to burst your bubble, but we were actually on our way to have lunch as the new hire has already said. Sorry you came here for nothing~”

Oh please, you tell the others to relax and told Frosting in your own words that you already had plans to have lunch with your coworkers. But Frosting is more then happy to drop it off at your place for later!

“O-oh, alright.”

She did her best to smile, but the feeling of defeat and sorrow overwhelmed her on the inside. She watched as you and your coworkers head off, Dark Fondue looking back for a moment and giving her a sort of mocking smile.

Frosting sighed as she looked down at the ground, she really messed up…before gasping in surprise as she noticed the lunch in her hands was now gone!

Meanwhile in a time rift:

A Handycookie’s Expertise

These TBD events never miss, I can tell you that. You’re pretty much molded into the TBD’s ensemble at this point. :]

“I thought that if I couldn’t even fix that, I should be ashamed to be called one of the best engineers in the TBD!”

“One of the best?”

“Yep, that would be me and Y/N Cookie! Some of the best engineers, but THE bestest friends! They’re a mechanic too, y’know!”

“Y/N Cookie…I think I’ve heard of their name before. Baguette Cookie was speaking praises of them for what a TBD mechanic should aspire to be! Maybe I’ll actually get to meet them sometime…”

Coffee Candy Cookie would follow you around, recording the many jobs you’d do around the departments. You chalked it off to just the rookie wanting to take notes at how the mechanics do things around here, but when it was only you as a mechanic cookie that she followed around when she caught sight of you, yeah something was up.

And THAT….was how you fixed one of the TBD’s toasters, rookie.

“You fixed that so quick and with great skill! Croissant was right about you…”

She didn’t speak too much, did she? Croissant tends to…ramble on and on about you, but you took the praise. It made fixing things more rewarding and reassuring for you.

“No, she didn’t, but I could see why she could! You’re so nice, Y/N Cookie, like she said you’d be….can I..come with you to your next couple of repair tasks? I’ll be as quiet as a mouse, you won’t even know I’m there!”

You were hesitant to accept her harmless sounding question, you didn’t want her getting in trouble with Baguette Cookie. Coffee Candy reassured that she would be on break that she’d be at your side, if that were case, then sure, she could tag along with you. Coffee Candy did her best to hide her excitement!

She watched with eagerness as you spoke to the cookies that needed your help and repaired the machines that caused the issues. All the while, you couldn’t help but took a quick glance to Coffee Candy from time to time and notice that she was staring at you as she wrote…she would hide behind her notepad with a blush if she caught you staring back. You start to wonder what she was really writing about on that notepad of hers…

“Maple Taffy did not have the shredder I used before, I figured that you would be the next cookie to have it here, do you?”

Yeah, the shredder was having issues with internal wiring which you deducted pretty quickly and handled before the shredder could become unusable. You had fixed it recently as you go and handed it to Baguette Cookie.

“You always did have a keen eye for the things you repair. Good job, though I would like for you to come with me in the case it starts causing problems.”

Huh? The stuff I fix for others usually do work back up to 100%, she would know this.

“It’s just a precaution, I promise it won’t take too much of your time. You are a busy and hardworking cookie after all.”

She’s right, you were busy-

“I’ll send in a word for you to get your paycheck sooner this month.”

And suddenly it just cleared up, alright, let’s go.

Baguette Cookie was a constant presence for you whenever it came to something she needed from you like the assistance with failing equipment. There were capable mechanics other then you in your department, but Baguette would always say that she needed your help as it dealt with more important equipment and machines. You debunked this notion when a few jobs were as mundane as fixing the CCTV cameras.

She’d also give you praise more often then she does for others, something as simple as fixing the fuel tank for the Timecraft will have her dish out a compliment or two, sometimes accompanying this with a hand on your shoulder. You start to wonder if she was no longer Coffee Candy’s manager, but yours instead with how Baguette is hovering around you under the guise of overseeing repairs.

“Some employees work equipment to the bone, it happens often. But don’t worry, I know a cookie of your talent will fix them no problem~”

You were going to say it right out of the gate, Dark Fondue Cookie bugged you sometimes. The juxtaposition with how Fondue treats you compared to cookies like Coffee Candy was like night and day, you were treated with genuine praise (and a lot of it) and respect compared to Coffee Candy whom Fondue treated more harshly. You had to reprimand her on a couple of occasions or you’re sending in another mechanic to finish the job. Alright, Fondue will stop picking on Coffee Candy on one condition, she gets to hug your arm throughout your time in the Cookie Resources Division~

On that note, Fondue was far more touchy-feely compared to Baguette. While Baguette was mostly having her hand on your shoulder often, Dark Fondue was full on hugging or any sort of physical contact with you. It would mostly be the one condition she’ll give you in exchange for her to lighten up on the newcomers. You believe that newer cookies should be given the chance to grow and not be discouraged. And if it meant Dark Fondue hugging your side while snuggling her head into your chest for her to ease up on cookies, then so be it.

“Y/N Cookie, just the cookie I wished to see! I’ve collected some new relics that I very much would like to talk about with you!”

“Huh? Oh yes, that’s right! It’s over there, but before you do that, look at this amber ore that I got here!”

Well, you got to report back to Baguette Cookie soon, so you can’t stay for too long.

“Baguette can wait, check out this fossilized relic I’ve collected recently!”

You don’t normally find yourself in the Relic Management Division, but Baguette would call you over for a quick fix of something she got from that lost and found area she calls a division. All it took was entertaining Maple Taffy by engaging him once in his relic conversations for you to get into his good graces, and now it seems that he’s calling you over there much more often to talk about relics some more, you didn’t mind it all that much, but jeez, did this guy have a LOT to talk about.

Really aggressive when it comes to other cookies coming in to take you off to whatever needed fixing, he’s not above getting snarky with Baguette or Croissant if it involved you. He kinda feels that by sharing everything he has in his division, that you two are closer. He’ll ask the personal question every now and then, but not as much compared to Dark Fondue who’s trying to snoop at your file over there. Sometimes he wishes he had a lock at the door so no cookie could bother the both of you.

Yep, it’s been a long work shift so far and need the peace.

“I can relate to you on that, I even took this position to enjoy the solitude.”

Ah, that’s nice to hear he’s doing fine in this literal trash job.

“But I wouldn’t mind company every now and then if it’s you. You don’t bother me like the others do.”

You don’t cause much of a ruckus for Marble Bread Cookie compared to the others, so he found to actually prefer your company whenever you stopped by. You even provided help whenever he tended to doze off from his job, surprised that you were able to sort out the disposal rather quickly. You usually stop by the Facility Management Division whenever it was your break and you could get away from the others, you needed some chill time for yourself too y’know? Marble Bread, again, didn’t mind you being there since you’re usually out of his way and don’t make too much of a distraction for him.

However, he tends to talk to you and start conversation more often then he does for others. If he was honest, he’d spend his breaks heading on over to the Technology Department Division just so he could hang out with you. He feels like you two have this sort of connection to each other as time went on. Like how he knew you’d throw a fit over the stop button being between the door. He found himself quietly chuckling at seeing your face grow red from how much you were ranting to the Technology Development Division over the phone, it was..kind of cute even.

Just wait until you learn about the Time Recorder’s system fault.

Coffee Candy Cookie…oh boy. This lass is trying her best, even if she can slip up every once in a while. From the teaser for the event, I knew she would be the bundle of anxiousness that wants to be top tier at her job. She’s just cute like that.

“Woah, Y/N Cookie is so good at repairing the machines! I wish to be as good as them with my job someday!”

Maple Taffy would be great friends with Dinosour with how much these two are all about the dragons and stuff. He’s pretty cool, once you get on the topic of relics, he’s totally open to having long conversations about them. He has fossilized dragon eggs in his possession, god knows how he got his hands on them.

“Ah, Y/N Cookie! You came at just the right time, would you help with me something? I know you never bore with my stories, so I have plenty to discuss!”

Dark Fondue is pretty, but that stick makes her quite dangerous, so it’s for the best that you stick to policies, no telling what she’ll do if cookies disobey them. With Fondue having a shadow eyed expression on one of her sprites as well as in the title screen, there may be more to her later on in the story. Maybe, I dunno

“Don’t worry, Y/N Cookie. I was just making sure the new hire knew of our policies. I wouldn’t have to discipline a cookie as hard working as you~”

Like with Coffee Candy, I knew from when I saw Baguette Cookie for the first time that she would be the tough and by the book manager that would be hard on newer cookies to the department like Coffee Candy. She apparently carries the rule book with her too if reading off the TBD instructions is anything to say about it. May god have mercy on Coffee Candy.

“You look like you’ve got this under control, Y/N Cookie. I’ll leave the conditions of the machines in your hands.”
