Kung Fu Panda and the Secret Trio
The gathered warriors turned to the shortest newcomer.
“What?” said Tigress. “You, the Dragon Warrior? But you're just a kid!”
Jake looked distinctly put out by this comment. “I'm no kid,” he pouted. “I just haven't had my growth spurt yet.”
“Yeah,” Danny laughed, “It's not like everyone in your family is short. Just, you know, almost everyone. I mean, even though your grandpa is shorter than his dog, and I'm as tall as your mom, doesn't mean that you're gonna be a midget.” The halfa's voice was dripping with sarcasm. His grin was patronizing as he bent down to his friend's level. “It just makes it very, very, likely,” he teased.
The dragon-human got right up into Danny's face and growled, “Oh, ya think?” Green flames gathered around Jake's feet and shot up to engulf him. Only Danny's inhuman reflexes saved him from getting scorched by the blast, which quickly cleared away. “Am I tall enough for ya now, Ghost-boy?” The dragon asked. He was feeling rather smug about outsmarting his—now shorter—friend.
Danny was about to reply, but was cut off by Randy, who was rolling on the ground cackling. Danny leveled his best glare on him. “And what're you laughing at?”
Clutching at a stitch in his side, it was all Randy could do to point a shaking finger at the mostly forgotten pack of animals. Suddenly, Danny was ready to join him. Every one of the furious five were staring in perfect shock at the bright red dragon.
Said dragon blinked at them innocently. “What?” The innocence was destroyed by a poorly hid grin. “I told y'all I was a dragon, didn' I?”
