So I recently became obsessed with a specific game and already have an au idea in mindddd. I’m starting off with small sketches till I actually start adding lore and character info so enjoy some self indulgent shenanigans-

A duck and a child 1

There was a duck, travelling alone, for they have left their old home. To seek adventure was their goal. They had many companions, some large some small. For Orbit knows the duck couldn't name them all.The duck was called Anasii, a fellow traveller far from home. The traveller gained a lot of knowlage from their travels, some knowlage even made them some good money. They were dressed in all the best clothes, all the way from their heels to their nose.

Today they wandered into a forest, different from the one before. No rain, not a single wet stain... Just a pretty sun's beam and a hollowed out tree. Inside the tree was a small table, for it's purpose was clear. To dine and celebrate the newest victories, and the fireplace next to it, to keep the adventurous spirit at warm. The duck slowly set their things down, taking a couple of scrolls from their bag and thrown them at the table. They were tired, that was sure, who knows how long it was science they saw their home's shore. The scrolls told, of a legend so old, only the elders may remember it. And this was the place where they would unravel the mystery, and quite possibly, go down in history.

The duck took the nearest scroll, the hunt for the myths already took on their sanity a toll.

Now they were in a small clearing, the dawn slowly nearing. It was a lot to take in, that they survived another night, but soon they heard something in the pond and got ready for a fight.

But to the duck's suprise it was no threat, just a small child, so no need to freat.

So now the duck was alone, with a tea waiting to be drank and a child who fell in a pond, now fully damp. In a moment of confusion the brave duck made a choice "Would you like some tea?" they said, with no hint of awkwardness in their voice.

The child, all tired and thirsty, decided to find a pillow firstly. After a bit of searching they found a pillow, just beneath a fallen down willow.

The duck began the conversation, trying to understand, what would make such a young soul come into such a dangerous land.

"On my way to find a manta ray, the chirp of birds lead me at stray. Now i found myself with no food or water, just a big dissapointment to my father. Now with no shelter or home, i came here, because of what the legends foretold"

The duck was taken a back by an answer so complex, but it would be better if the duck knew less. So they kept quiet for a moment before the child took a sip of tea, but the child's stomach decided to plead. They quickly found some berries and bread, for the duck, meeting a new companion was a common thread. They talked till dusk, but soon ended the talk when the chill of rain struck.

They both went to rest, but tomorrow would put their new found companionship to a test.

When the first rays of morning shined through the holes, the child tried to patch up their bruises and sores, but instead of a bandaid that was laying on the floor, they decided to take a look at the scroll near the door. For the child find out that the duck was on a mission, to find the great whale who's beauty was beyond comprehension. While the duck was making a quick snack, the child tugged at their back.

"Can i follow you to this adventure? I promise i wil be good, even if needed, be as still as a sculpture"

The duck gave a chuckle at the amusing request, so they decided to put the child's curiosity to rest.

"The cave I am after is somewhere here, so it would be good if someone was to assist search near"

So the two set off, in adventure the prophecies foretold, but little did they know that they just started a friendship that was worth more than gold.

Here are the official looks for the Bishops in my Beyond au!

They all have the golden skull necklaces but they are just hidden under layers of fabric COUGH I DIDNT JUST FORGET THEM ON ACCIDENT-

Info on each character below!

Shamura

Shamura is the eldest of the 5 siblings and is the Historian and Teacher for the Cult. Shamura is a calm and kind spirit, though if you annoythem enough, they’ll start to disent a little, causing ichor to pour from their wounded head. They can get slight brain fog pretty often during the day but they somehow appear on time to events or remember things when the memory returns after a while. Although Shamura was the ex bishop of War, they are quite the tactical thinker and fighter; quick on their feet and always knows how to take their enemies down when necessary. They assist with educating the younger members of the cult and is quite intelligent in many subjects even if they have brain damage from long ago. They mainly on their free time or when not with any of the kids, they tend to hide in the library, reading in silence.

Kallamar

Kallamar is the second oldest out of the 5 siblings and is the Chief Medical officer in the Cult. Kallamar likes to act prideful and has a bit of an ego, though truly he is a coward at heart. He has sensitive hearing due to the damage inflicted from Narinder, so loud noises can cause pain to him. Being the ex bishop of pestilence, he has the vast knowledge in medicine and medical practice, with that knowledge were they given the job to look after the health of the followers in the Cult. He loves to collect anything he deems beautiful and is sparkling; always wearing some form of jewelry on him wherever he goes on the cult grounds.

Heket

Heket is the second youngest out of the 5 siblings and is the Cult’s Chief Guard. Heket is quiet and stoic, but caring when it comes to her siblings and the followers of the cult. People, especially children tend to get intimidated when first meeting her, but they easily warm up when eating her delicious food she prepares during breakfast, lunch and dinner. She isn’t able to speak all that well and speaking up never goes well for her as she easily gets ichor filling her mouth to the point of dirtying her lungs, causing coughing fits from time to time. Her siblings however can easily understand what she tries to say when reading her body language, facial expressions or listening for her quiet mumbling; except Leshy for most of the time.

Leshy

Leshy is the youngest of the 5 siblings and is the Chief Farmer for the Cult. Leshy is hot-tempered and chaotic in nature and easily can get embarrassed or offended by small things either when people make fun of him or question his looks and/or intellect. Leshy is completely blind when using his eyes, but he soon made a friend who helps him get around far distances in the Cult. Growing up mainly in the Darkwood, he knows plenty about taking care and nurturing plant life, always knowing what each plant in the cult farms needs to grow to their fullest potential. He relies on his siblings to also help him with either hiding or getting from one place to another when Collie can’t. A small thing he appreciates though is on warm and sunny days, he likes to bathe in the sun, feeling the warmth on his body. A small detail about Leshy is when he expresses heavy emotions or feelings, flowers of different kinds tend to sprout from his body depending on how he’s feeling at the time, mainly they blossom on his head.
