What Are The Benefits Of Hiring A Real Estate Videographer?
Real estate customers tend to search for houses online earlier than attending open houses. Hence, the nice preliminary influence is created online via pix and videos. Most customers decide about Real estate based on the first exterior image they see.
Suppose you desire to promote your home, put your Airbnb on the lease, or promote residences as a Real estate agent. In that case, you want to invest in suitable marketing, and one of the nice methods to market your Real estate is via real estate photographer Chicago.
Tumblr media

You do not have to fear quality, lights, and angles; they will seize the best shot to make your domestic heat appealing. They are experts at shooting the unique angles and points possible consumers seek.
Another critical thing about Real estate images is that the pics must align with your website. You can talk about your necessities with a Real estate photographer, and they will optimize the photographs following your online promoting platforms.
They Own Professional Equipment
You will require expert cameras and different image gear to get the best Images and movies of your actual Real estate, domestic or Real estate. These kinds of tools fee a lot; however, if you rent a photographer, you can easily afford exact cameras or tripods. They also recognize how to function these complicated image equipment and properly use them.
You can ask the photographer to take aerial pics of a drone and use lighting fixtures tools to ensure every photo is clear and the lighting fixtures are herbal and balanced.
Get a Return on Investment (ROI)

Increasing the bids on your Real estate will be worthwhile, and pay for the price of the images.
Since the photographer already has all the quintessential tools, you will additionally store cash on equipment. They will also deal with all of the post-production for you, enhancing and uploading. Although it may also be pricey, hiring a photographer is a way higher value.
Get Professional Tour Videos
Customers love to get digital excursions of the houses they may be involved in. Hiring a Chicago videographer.
is the proper preference if you sketch on giving your future clients a tour of your Real estate. They are professionals in making movies that reflect your estate's indoors and exterior from the ideal angles.
A strategic strategy is to supply data through videos. No one is aware of your Real estate higher than you. You can ask the videographer to create movies of the place and provide a tour while sharing facts about your Real estate.
Highlight the Area and Environment
The neighborhood and its environment notably affect a customer's desire to purchase a domestic or piece of Real estate. Drone-shot aerial photos can provide an in-depth view of neighboring locations, such as businesses, parks, and schools. You must include them in your pictures and videos, particularly if you own a Real estate domestic after a lake or beach, to increase the probability of promoting it.
Including your Real estate's entire view and the nearby region is an attention-grabbing approach that every Real estate agent wants to adopt. You can't talk about these records verbally, but through lovely and well-thought pictures and videos, visually.
What to Look for in a Real Estate Photographer?
While Real estate photographers furnish you with many benefits, you should be cautious when hiring.
If you prefer to rent an expert photographer to control the visible components of your Real estate, make certain you take a look at the following first:
Portfolio
Look through the photographers' portfolios to get a feel of their style. Examples of their work for different realtors and preceding engagements may also be included. A video portfolio has to be covered in your search. This will substantially influence our desire. You need to rent a certified and skilled person to make your economic funding worthwhile.
Pricing
Another aspect you want to make certain earlier than hiring a Real estate photographer is their pricing. Most photographers grant applications or pricing based on the snapshots and movies you desire. The drone shot can be a little more highly-priced than widespread shots. If you have a plan, let the photographer recognize it so they can grant you a quote that works first-rate.
Flexibility
You must look for a photographer who can work around your thoughts and with bendy timeframes. They ought to be conscious of your necessities and try to meet them while advising you on your company's best path of action. Additionally, they must receive your viewpoints about enhancing and growing visible content material for your website. Before selecting a photographer, have an interview to set up an understanding.

Elaine (circa 2019), by American fine art and commercial photographer, Brooke Hummer (date of birth unlisted), from her project, Cat Women, a celebration of strong, independent women and their cats, designed to subvert the sexist stereotype of 'Cat Lady', a term used to shame women, and also to reinterpret the way in which women were depicted in portraits throughout history.
"The whole (project) came together when it hit me that ... women in the Renaissance were only ever painted because of their attachment to powerful men, or as a bride. The traditional marriage portrait was always posed in profile to suggest submission. It was considered an affront for a woman to make eye contact ... pretty soon, I realised that throughout the entire course of the history of visual art, these details about female portraiture are consistent ... "
Of this photograph, she said, " ... the source is early Christian medieval, also referred to as Gothic, around 12C. Elaine is another colleague. She’s a super talented photographer and digi-tech here in Chicago. I love her. She saw the project when I first posted it and approached me at an industry event. From the get go, we knew we had to go with the gothic, Madonna and Child thing. Her style is kind of 'goth' and she was raised Mormon and is fascinated by religious iconography. Her cat’s name is Loki Lucifer. There are SO many paintings we used for reference."

Lost Chicago Building 6 - The Granada Theater
By Roger Jones, August 2023
Tumblr media
The Granada at night
I only saw a movie at the Granada Theater once, in the late 1970s; I believe the offering was Murder by Death. Nonetheless, I always marveled at the movie palace's facade every time the el train passed the Loyola stop on Chicago's north side.

Historical details:
Opened: Tuesday, September 21, 1926
Status: Closed/Demolished Sunday, September 30, 1990
Style: Spanish Baroque
Seats: 3,443
The Granada Theater was a 3,400–seat movie palace located at 6427-41 North Sheridan Road, in the Rogers Park neighborhood of Chicago and adjacent to Loyola University. Constructed in 1926 for the Marks Brothers, major theatre operators in the U.S., Edward E. Eichenbaum was the principal designer for the architectural firm of Levy & Klein. Eichenbaum also designed the Marbro, Regal, and Century theaters in Chicago.
The Marks Brothers operated the theatre until 1934, when Balaban and Katz purchased the property. That firm and its successors—United Paramount Theatres, ABC Great States Theatres and Plitt Theatres—operated the facility until approximately 1978. From then until the mid-eighties, it was used sporadically for rock concerts and presented midnight showings of The Rocky Horror Picture Show for several years.
Despite all attempts to save the theater, Senior Life Styles Corporation purchased the property and demolished it in 1989-90 for a planned apartment/commercial structure.
The new 16–story apartment tower and shopping arcade constructed in 1991 was named "Granada Center.”  Loyola University eventually purchased the structure and transformed it into 12 floors of student apartments over a base containing parking, retail and university offices.

Thanks to Cinema Treasures for the following details:
Built in 1926 for the Marks Brothers circuit, this was one of the largest movie palaces on Chicago’s Far North Side, located in Rogers Park. The Granada Theatre was opened September 18, 1926 with a Jack Haskell stage show “Eastern Nights” and on the screen Belle Bennett in “The Lilly”. The Wurlitzer 4 manual 20 rank theatre organ was opened by organist Alfred F. Brown The proscenium was 60ft wide and the stage 32ft deep. Seating was provided for 3,448, with 1,833 in the orchestra level and 1,615 seats in the balcony.
On November 18, 1932, the theatre was acquired by the Publix/Balaban & Katz chain and it was briefly closed, reopening on July 29, 1933 with John Barrymore in “Reunion In Vienna” & Laurel & Hardy in “Me and My Pal”. The Granada Theatre was originally designed by Edward Eichenbaum (of the firm of Levy & Klein) for both live stage shows and movies, but by the 1940’s, was only showing films. On November 19, 1975 the World Premiere of Jack Nicholson in “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest” was held at the Granada Theatre, with Jack Nicholson & Louise Fletcher appearing ‘in person’. It remained open as a movie theatre, operated by Plitt Theatres until the late-1970’s.
Information from the HABS Report on the Granada:
The report goes on to say that the primary reasons for the Granada’s historic significance include:
its size, as it was one of the three largest movie theatres ever built in Chicago, the other two being the Uptown and the Chicago theatres; its elaborate design, often cited as the most ornate in the city; its place as the flagship of the Marks Brothers empire, who were second only to Balaban and Katz in the construction and operation of opulent movie palaces; and its association with architect Edward Eichenbaum.
Perhaps the most heartbreaking element of the HABS report is one of its closing statements: “The Granada had survived in essentially unaltered condition until the past two years (1988-89), when it was left unattended and the weather and vandalism were allowed to proceed unchecked.” This was a demolition that could have been avoided.
The HABS report included several dozen photos of the interior and exterior of the Granada Theatre, taken shortly before demolition. While it is depressing to see the damage the theatre suffered in its final two years, especially during a time when movie palaces across the country were being renovated to the benefit of communities large and small, these photos do show in great detail the artistry of Edward Eichenbaum.
Source: Compass Rose Cultural Crossroads
In addition:
...the Granada was still in remarkably good shape as recently as 1987. While it was allowed to deteriorate after that, eyewitnesses to the demolition mourn the fact that there was little wrong with the theatre structurally, that it could, in fact, have been saved.
Despite efforts to landmark the theatre or get it reopened, the Granada’s fate was sealed. Much of the terra cotta of the facade was stripped and sold off, as were many of the interior decorative elements. One of the large chandeliers from the lobby was salvaged and now hangs in the Riviera Theatre. Another, smaller, chandelier hangs in the Music Box on Southport.

Let me see if I have this right…she traveled from LA to Chicago on a commercial flight and was photographed in an airport with no mask but once she was at the venue, she put on a mask? Btw, he looked like he didn’t bother to do his hair and she didn’t bother to put on her usual inappropriately skimpy outfits…which begs the question: If you haven’t seen your “bf” in weeks is this the way you’d present yourself to him and others?
We know she doesn't bother to wear masks around him, so wearing them at the venues serves no purpose. She's not really in close proximity to anyone when she's bopping around. It's just the Toms and/or the trainer, and since she takes the mask off when she's not in the pit area, it's meaningless. The point of wearing a mask is to prevent the wearer from spreading COVID, so if she is exposed on a plane, she's spreading it to him and everyone else.

The U.S. Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) has notified the U.S. Congress of a potential foreign military sale (FMS) of support for Belgium's F-16 fighters and United Arab Emirates C-17 transport aircraft.
Approved by the U.S. Department of State, the estimated value of the sale and associated equipment is approximately $127 million for the F-16s and $980.4 million for the C-17s.
The additional support support of the F-16 Fighting Falcon requested by the Belgian government will be added to a previously implemented case.
The original $98.4 million sales package involved the support of the F-16, including AN/ARC-210 radios, computer program identification numbers, classified software, electronic warfare database support, support equipment, software integration support and aircraft and ammunition support, as well as test support and equipment.

In a press release, DSCA said: "The proposed sale will improve Belgium's ability to face current and future threats, keeping its F-16 fleet in a state ready for combat and providing rotating forces to NATO's eastern flank."
The Belgian Air Force was one of the first international customers of the F-16, having ordered a total of 160 F-16s. The country is now acquiring the 34 F-35 fighters that will eventually replace the F-16.
Tumblr media
The main contractor for the new Belgian package is Lockheed Martin, from Bethesda, Maryland.
The C-17 Globemaster aircraft support package and materials associated with the United Arab Emirates has also been approved by the U.S. Department of State.
The main contractor will be The Boeing Company, from Chicago, Illinois, which delivered a total of 8 Globemasters to the United Arab Emirates by 2012.
The agency said in a statement: "The proposal to renew support for C-17 aircraft will provide the government of the United Arab Emirates with reliable defense capability, provide strategic and humanitarian air transport and ensure interoperability with U.S. forces."
The two FMSs will make the U.S. provide engineers, studies and research, technical and logistical support services, classified and unclassified publications, technical documentation and other associated elements of logistical and program support.

In his "Heritage Guidebook," architectural historian H. Russell Zimmerman calls the lobby of the formal Northwestern Mutual Insurance Building, now the Loyalty Building, "one of the best preserved and most spectacular 19th century commercial interiors in the state." The building, at 611 N. Broadway, faces Broadway and Michigan Sts. An open, rectangular staircase rises in a lightwell to a large ornamental iron skylight. Marble wainscoting and the original tile floors add warmth and color. This photograph shows the atrium as it appeared when the insurance company occupied the building between 1886 and 1914. Work now is under way to restore the atrium to its original look. The Loyalty Building was the second home office built by Northwestern Mutual Life quarters at 720 E. Wisconsin Ave in 1914. The Loyalty Building was designed by S. S. Beman, a Chicago architect who designed the city of Pullman, Ill. The Loyalty Building replaced the Newhall House Hotel, destroyed by a fire in 1883 that killed 71 people. To me, National Latinx HIV/AIDS Awareness Day means a day to bring some light to the darkness that has been overshadowing our Latinx community for decades.
A day where you can have some cafecito y chisme in the morning or afternoon with your comai or compai, and with your familia (both blood and chosen) to openly talk about why growing up, HIV was not spoken about and then dish out all the chisme on how to prevent it, how to live with it, and how not to talk shit if fulano or fulana has it, you know, ending el ESTIGMA. We no longer have to hide in the shadow or under the blanket like it was the cucuy. We sometimes see commercials about HIV, medications, and PrEP between our novelas orrr en el YOOTOO (YouTube) between “Bidi Bidi Bom Bom” or “Titi Me Pregunto.” Yet it’s still uncomfortable to talk about it with compañeros/as/es. Which is why NLHAAD was created; for people like me to talk openly about living with HIV, to encourage others to get tested, use condoms, get treatment, to get on PrEP, and/or PEP if needed. To show nuestra comunidad that echar bochinche about this day can actually help prevent it between ourselves.
It is also a day to show some love to those who have been en la lucha fighting y echandole ganas. To remember those who we have lost to HIV/AIDS and to embrace those who continue to be with us. A day where we celebrate each other regardless of our own status. A day to remember everyone in our barrios que SI SE PUEDE eliminar el SIDA!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SOL LEWITT!
“Although best known for his wall drawings, modular structures, and writings on Conceptual art, LeWitt engaged with photography throughout his career.
Between 1967 and 1979, he created a series of small-scale works in which he cut geometric shapes out of commercially produced aerial photographs and maps of cities, including Florence, Amsterdam, London, Chicago, and New York. In some cases, he determined the outlines of the shapes by connecting points related to his own personal geography, such as various places where he lived in Lower Manhattan.”
Metropolitan Museum
Some years ago I gave this oblique shaped cut out photo by Sol LeWitt (1928-2007) “The Area of Manhattan Between the Places Where Sol LeWitt Has Lived! 115 E 34th St., 185 Ave.C, 42 Montogomery St., and 117 Hester St.,”, 1977 – 1978 to the @risdmuseum. Graffiti🍒
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Graffiti is art that is written, painted or drawn on a wall or other surface, usually without permission and within public view. Graffiti ranges from simple written words to elaborate wall paintings, and has existed since ancient times, with examples dating back to ancient Egypt, ancient Greece, and the Roman Empire .
Graffiti is a controversial subject. In most countries, marking or painting property without permission is considered by property owners and civic authorities as defacement and vandalism, which is a punishable crime, citing the use of graffiti by street gangs to mark territory or to serve as an indicator of gang-related activities. Graffiti has become visualized as a growing urban "problem" for many cities in industrialized nations, spreading from the New York City subway system and Philadelphia in the early 1970s to the rest of the United States and Europe and other world regions.
Modern Graffiti
Modern graffiti art has its origins with young people in 1960s and 70s in New York City and Philadelphia. Tags were the first form of stylised contemporary graffiti. Eventually, throw-ups and pieces evolved with the desire to create larger art. Writers used spray paint and other kind of materials to leave tags or to create images on the sides subway trains.[29] and eventually moved into the city after the NYC metro began to buy new trains and paint over graffiti.
While the art had many advocates and appreciators—including the cultural critic Norman Mailer—others, including New York City mayor Ed Koch, considered it to be defacement of public property, and saw it as a form of public blight.[31] The ‘taggers’ called what they did ‘writing’—though an important 1974 essay by Mailer referred to it using the term ‘graffiti.’
Contemporary graffiti style has been heavily influenced by hip hop culture and the myriad international styles derived from Philadelphia and New York City Subway graffiti; however, there are many other traditions of notable graffiti in the twentieth century. Graffiti have long appeared on building walls, in latrines, railroad boxcars, subways, and bridges.
An early graffito outside of New York or Philadelphia was the inscription in London reading "Clapton is God" in reference to the guitarist Eric Clapton. Creating the cult of the guitar hero, the phrase was spray-painted by an admirer on a wall in an Islington, north London in the autumn of 1967. The graffito was captured in a photograph, in which a dog is urinating on the wall.
Films like Style Wars in the 80s depicting famous writers such as Skeme, Dondi, MinOne, and ZEPHYR reinforced graffiti's role within New York's emerging hip-hop culture. Although many officers of the New York City Police Department found this film to be controversial, Style Wars is still recognized as the most prolific film representation of what was going on within the young hip hop culture of the early 1980s. Fab 5 Freddy and Futura 2000 took hip hop graffiti to Paris and London as part of the New York City Rap Tour in 1983.
Commercialization and entrance into mainstream pop culture
With the popularity and legitimization of graffiti has come a level of commercialization. In 2001, computer giant IBM launched an advertising campaign in Chicago and San Francisco which involved people spray painting on sidewalks a peace symbol, a heart, and a penguin (Linux mascot), to represent "Peace, Love, and Linux." IBM paid Chicago and San Francisco collectively US$120,000 for punitive damages and clean-up costs.
In 2005, a similar ad campaign was launched by Sony and executed by its advertising agency in New York, Chicago, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, and Miami, to market its handheld PSP gaming system. In this campaign, taking notice of the legal problems of the IBM campaign, Sony paid building owners for the rights to paint on their buildings "a collection of dizzy-eyed urban kids playing with the PSP as if it were a skateboard, a paddle, or a rocking horse".

The modern-day graffitists can be found with an arsenal of various materials that allow for a successful production of a piece.[48] This includes such techniques as scribing. However, spray paint in aerosol cans is the number one medium for graffiti. From this commodity comes different styles, technique, and abilities to form master works of graffiti. Spray paint can be found at hardware and art stores and comes in virtually every color.
Stencil graffiti
Stencil graffiti is created by cutting out shapes and designs in a stiff material (such as cardboard or subject folders) to form an overall design or image. The stencil is then placed on the "canvas" gently and with quick, easy strokes of the aerosol can, the image begins to appear on the intended surface.
Some of the first examples were created in 1981 by artists Blek le Rat in Paris, in 1982 by Jef Aerosol in Tours (France);[citation needed] by 1985 stencils had appeared in other cities including New York City, Sydney, and Melbourne, where they were documented by American photographer Charles Gatewood and Australian photographer Rennie Ellis.
Tagging
Tagging is the practice of someone spray-painting "their name, initial or logo onto a public surface"[50] in a handstyle unique to the writer. Tags were the first form of modern graffiti.
A number of recent examples of graffiti make use of hashtags.
