Loud pounding on a door was not something any person would want to hear late at night, especially Chishiya Shuntaro. Despite his outward appearance of always being calm and collected, his mind was constantly running with different schemes, theories, and suspicions about the many people who lived at the hotel. His only time to relax his mind is at night when he's alone in his room. And when he was laying down in bed, either sleeping or just relaxing, no one was allowed to bother him unless it was something drastically important. Even Kuina, who is one of the few people close to him, knew to not bother him late at night. This was something that the rest of the hotel residents just naturally knew, even if they hadn't formally met him before. That was just common sense.
So the loud, frantic pounding on his door had him opening his eyes in silent fury, and turning over to the door in question, he could see the person's shadow from under the door moving frantically. Arisu? he wondered, but changed his mind quickly. If it was him, he would have been yelling his name stupidly for all the hotel to hear. Letting out a tired sigh, he turned to face the other side of the room, then closed his eyes, ready to tune the pounding out, and drift back to sleep.
"Chishiya?"
A soft voice made him open his eyes, and he quickly threw his blanket off of him and stood up. Was that-he waited to see if he heard it right.
"Ch-Chishiya? Are you up?"
He quickly made his way around the bed and to the door, hurriedly twisting it open and welcoming the sight of a frantic, scared looking (Y/N).
"(Y/N)," Chishiya said, taking a quick look at them before stepping to the side and letting them in. He could see that their (E/C) eyes were wet with unshed tears, the jacket wrapped around their body was somewhat on them and at the same time hanging off their right shoulder and touching the floor, and their body was trembling.
He didn't ask any questions as he already knew why they were there. Niragi.
"Sorry to wake you up," (Y/N) apologized, pulling the rest of the jacket onto their body before zipping it up. "I didn't know where else to go. Niragi, he-"
"It's alright," he interrupted, closing his door and walking back to the bed, laying back down. "Why not go to Kuina?"
They swallowed nervously before answering him. "I thought about going to her or maybe Usagi, but I didn't want to risk Niragi coming and hurting them too."
Selfless, he thought, pulling the blanket back and gesturing for them to lay beside him. Being selfless is going to get you killed, he once told them. It was after a game where he witnessed them, at the last minute, help a weak guy that had fallen behind beat the clock with them and risked both of them dying a horrible death. They had looked at him like he was a heartless monster when he gave them this advice (which he technically was), but he knew that he was right. Stop being so stupidly selfless, he thought watching them walk over to the bed and laying down beside him, their body still trembling lightly. You're better than that, he thought, feeling himself become furious at how scared they looked. I can't have you getting hurt.
"Thanks Chishiya," they said, turning over and facing him. Even though the room was dark, he could still feel their gaze on him, and he was glad that it was dark as he felt his face becoming warm.
The room was silent for a minute as they both closed their eyes, ready to catch back up on the sleep they were both rudely awaken from when a thought had come to Chishiya suddenly, and he couldn't help but ask it.
"Why me?"
It took them a second to respond, but he quickly heard (Y/N) reply with a tired "huh?"
"You didn't go to Usagi or Kuina, because Niragi would have hurt them, too. Did you not think he would do something to me? What about Arisu?"
"I honestly didn't think about Arisu, and I think he hates you too much to come near your room and bother you," they told him.
"Hmm," was his only response.
"I won't bother you again. I promise. Just tonight."
Stop being so selfless, he wanted to tell them, but kept it to himself. Right now, he wanted to enjoy their presence next to him.
"You're not bothering me," he told them, feeling his face become even hotter at the confession. "You can come here whenever you want."
"Oh,...thanks Chishiya," he heard them say before hearing them moving closer till he could feel the warmth of their body next to him through their jacket.
"Your welcome," he muttered, closing his eyes, glad it was dark, as he could feel his face getting hotter and a pleasant grin began growing on his face. I guess being selfless can have benefits, he thought, as he began to slowly fall back asleep. I can be selfish for them and me. While they slept peacefully next to him, feeling safe and warm, he slept with dreams of many ways he would enact payback on Niragi.

“ w-wait what? ” kuina said, processing what the nonchalant guy said recently.
“ YOU'RE FINALLY CONFESSING?? ” she exclaimed.
“ lower your voice, she might hear you. ” he stated.
“ wow, just you confessing is... something else. that's totally not so chishiya. i still can't believe you'll confess. ” she says, mouth slightly open, while looking at chishiya.
chishiya smirked, “ me neither. i thought it was because she caught my attention, i mean, she did, but...it was more than that. ”
kuina smiled, “ wish you the best of luck, loverboy. ”
Tumblr media
chishiya was searching for you, everywhere, he went to your room, the places you often, but he couldn't find you anywhere.
the games were already starting, he didn't knew if you have any visas left, so he was very worried. but he didn't show it, though.
kuina didn't joined the games, since she still got visas with her. while chishiya was searching for you, he found kuina, leaning on a wall, raising a brow.
“ chishiya? wandering around? very out of character. you usually stay in your room, or in a game, in times like this. ” she stated. chishiya looked at her coldly, his hands remained in his pocket of his jacket,
“ i'm actually searching for [name], have you seen her around? ” he asked, kuina shrugged her shoulder in response,
“ oh i forgot, you were gonna confess, right? she probably participated in a game. ” she stated.
“ probably, ” he answered.
Tumblr media
you participated in a game, coming back with bruises all over your arm, hoping you could hide it so the others wouldn't mind.
you entered your room, as you opened the door, you saw a chishiya sitting in your bed, waiting for you, perhaps.
“ what are you doing here? ” you asked,
he stood up, and went to you, his hands still in his pockets, looking at you nonchalantly.
“ you participated in a game, ” he says, you furrowed, of course you did, your visa was gonna end.
“ yeah? my visa was supposed to end tonight, so i...joined the game. ” you explained.
“ atleast you could've brought me with you. ” he says. you noticed, he's very weird today. chishiya's usually not like this.
you raised a brow, “ you're weird, what do you mean? ”
“ i said, you could've brought me with you, what if you got killed there? it's very dangerous joining a game all alone by yourself. ” his voice was stern, oh boy, he was mad. but why?
you let out a breathy chuckle, “ chishiya, i'm a grown up, i don't need others just to make sure i'll be safe whenever i wander around. i can take care of myself. i don't need other people's help, and i made it out alive- ”
he cuts you off, “ what if you didn't? what if you made the simpliest mistake? i know you know that making even a little mistake can put your life into danger. we're in the bordelands, [name]. not in the real world. ”
“ i know. i'm aware that we're in the borderlands. i get that making one simple mistake can put my life into danger, ” you paused.
“ but i'm very careful about my actions! i was always very careful about my actions. so you don't have to worry. ” you added.
“ careful with your actions? explain your bruises all over your arms, then. ” he stated.
you stayed silent for a minute, he was really getting in your nerves,
you sighed frustratedly, “ why do you want to know about me desperately? why are you acting so weird this days, chishiya? would you care to explain that? ”
“ answer my question. ” he said, while looking directly at your eye.
“ no. just, WHY ARE YOU ACTING SO WEIRDLY THESE DAYS? AND WHAT ARE YOU SAYING THAT I SHOULD'VE BROUGHT YOU WITH ME? I CAN HANDLE MYSELF!- ”
“ i told you, explain that bruises in your arm- ”
“ WHY DO YOU ACT AS IF YOU'RE MY PARENT? YOU'RE JUST A FRIEND OF MINE ANYWAYS, WE'RE JUST FRIENDS, RIGHT? SO WHY DO YOU WANT ME TO BRING YOU IN EVERY GAME I PLAY? CHISHIYA? ”
“ BECAUSE I LIKE YOU, OKAY? ”
he what...?
“ you what? chishiya? ” you asked, chishiya looked at you, coldly.
“ i said i like you. ” he answered bravely. you blinked a few times, hell you were even touching your bruises in your arm to confirm if this is some sort of dream.
“ stop touching your bruises, it's not a dream. ” says chishiya.
“ it's okay if you dont reciprocate- ” he was cutted off when you began to speak,
“ actually, i like you too, chishiya. ”

⚠️A little drabble with slight Season 2 spoilers for AIB. ⚠️ this was shit.
“You had every opportunity to be rid of me and yet here I still breath, has my usefulness to you not ran out yet after all this time? Had there not been a time where you could’ve easily disposed of me?” You asked Chishiya as you dragged your bleeding form -curtesy of the king of spades- to mark your final resting place beside him, back pressed up against the car; too tired to accompany Arisu and Usagi to the final game but your faith in them was unwavering. They’ve came this far so it stood to reason that they could put an end to all this. You’ve all lost too much to meet your end here; despite how tragic that sounded, it was a befitting end. To die at the end of the game.
Freedom is almost within reach now and all you could do was reminisce on your time in the Borderlands as time etched away slower then usual. For you the more notable moments took place at The Beach; the once warm safe haven that turned into a nightmarish hellscape right to the very end as it burned down in a blaze of fierce flames. You met Chishiya and Kuina there during a period of your life where you’ve seen one too many of your friends die during the games; Even gotten betrayed by one or two during the more morally tolling ones, which forced your hand into killing them so that you may survive in their stead.
So your willingness to befriend or ally yourself with someone else were slim to none. At the time you didn’t care if you lived when participating in the games, so much so that it made you more reckless and daring during them. Which in retrospect was the dumbest shit you’ve ever done; thinking that the consequences don’t extend to you after your dead because they do and the games like to remind every participant of that. So when you did meet Chishiya and Kuina, you knew what they’re game was almost immediately.
They weren’t here to make friends and neither were you, which was why when one day they did approach you that you were immediately on high alert, hand reaching for the knife that you kept after removing it from the cold hand of a dead man you came across before reaching the massive mansion of party goers. They extended their hand in ‘friendship’ but you shut it down as you stared at them dead in the eyes and told them, “don’t think I don’t know what game your playing at because I ain’t willing in becoming an meat shield for either of you to hide behind when things get too rough. Find some other gullible bastard and quit bothering me.” Before leaving the pair in the hallway as you went to prepare for another game.
Another memory you remember so fondly was when after you had gotten hurt from a game, instead of going back to the cars that would lead you back to The Beach, you slunk your way into an alleyway to die, your position was very much the same as the one you were in currently, back pressed against the brick wall and waiting death to take you far away from this desolate hellhole. Just when you had closed your eyes in acceptance, a voice called out to you and it wasn’t belonging to an angel; It was Chishiya. “What’re you doing?” He asked, however you knew that he could care less for the reason, he just wanted to get a reaction out of you for his own entertainment.
“Waiting to die so I can be as far away from you as possible.” You replied, not bothering to opening your eyes to him.
“That’s a little dramatic don’t you think?” He responds, leaning against the wall as his eyes examine the wounds you received as his brows furrowed but not out of worry.
“Doesn’t matter, all that does is the fact that soon I’ll be free from all this pain and will never have to participate in another game as I cross over into the afterlife.” You stood to your reasoning with steadfast loyalty.
“Dramatic and selfish,” Chishiya said as he ventured forth into the alleyway and knelt so that he was in front of you, getting a better look at your injuries. He didn’t have the best view from where he was standing previously and decided that closer examination was needed. So he kept the conversation going without easing any suspicion within you as you ‘awaited death’ as you so kindly put it. “Your wounds aren’t that severe, they’re deep but the only everlasting thing they’ve leave is a scar at most.” He deduced as you opened your eyes to glare at him. “Now get up before the cars leave us behind and we’re presumed dead.” Chishiya then stood up, offered out his hand for you to take.
You begrudgingly took his hand as he then hauled you off of the floor and began to help you hobble back to the cars that took you back to The Beach, where Kuina was waiting in the lobby for him and subsequently you as she took you off of his hands and aided in getting you to Ann for medical attention. Luckily the additional days added to your visa allowed you to make a full recovery for the next game.
The rest were blurred chaos of varying degrees and the only face that you could clearly make out of that mess was Chishiya’s and his voice, cool under pressure, guiding you to clearing your hectic mind and silence the unnecessary noise that would’ve inevitably have you killed. Even when you weren’t accompanying him in certain games, his presence was with always with you that soon before you allowed yourself to be swept away with everyone else and their growing anxieties, you would clear away their screeching voices and allow yourself to let the answer come to you rather then hopelessly chase it.
“You’re right, I did have opportune moments where I could be rid of you in order to save myself but for some reason, I just let them keep slipping through my fingers. Every time. At first I was wondering if I had let this place force me into a moment of weakness. I was left perplexed and questioning everything when all but soon enough I found my answer.” Chishiya said calmly for a guy who had just gotten shot. Twice. “What was it?” You asked him, awaiting him to finish the sentence on baited breath. “I got attached.” He finally answered glancing over to gauge your reaction like he always did. Which was a habit of his that you’ve only began to take notice as of just recently. He never did once glance at anyone else other then you when he wanted to know how his words affected someone.
Chishiya knew how he made people feel but for some reason he put more effort into knowing how you felt about his words, his actions, everything. It was weird, he even did this back at the beach but when you asked Kuina about this, her answer didn’t make any sense to you. “He’s grown attached to you.” She said but you could only scoff at such ridiculousness, “he only cares about what I came give him. Face it Kuina, Chishiya would rather throw me under the bus then ever admit it to my face that he’s attached.”
You stared at him as though he had grown a second head all the while he rested his head on your shoulder, “what’re your plans after we get out of here?” He changed the subjected, already knowing how you felt about him, he always knew and deep down he believed that you did too and that’s why you didn’t say anything in response. “I don’t know, I’ve worn myself down by just trying to survive and outlive others that I haven’t given it all that much thought.” You admitted to him in a moment of vulnerability, “but I wouldn’t mind it if we went through the unknown together.” You added, resting your head on top of Chishiya’s.
“Is that so?” He asks with a slight air to his tone as though he found all this funny but his hand reached for your own, you tensed at how cold you’ve both become in such a short amount of time that you were starting to actually face your own mortality. It was scary but for Chishiya; you’d brave anything. “Only if you want to of course, wouldn’t want to deter the great Chishiya Shuntaro from better things.” You added as to make light of your situation but faulted when you felt him starting to weigh heavily against your side. “Chishiya?” You said softly. “That sounds nice,” he finally spoke after a moment of silence but his voice was a lot quieter then before, “see you on the other side.” He added as the blimp belonging to the Queen of Hearts finally came down in the form of fiery rain before everything became black.
You awoke in a hospital with no memory of how you got here. Lost and afraid you almost called out in a state of panic when is voice, cool and collected, reached out to you. Silencing the unnecessary noise within. “Your finally awake.”

Trigger Warning: Explicit Smut, Toxic Behavior, Complicated Consensual/Not-Consensual Behavior, Harassment, Stalking, Summery: Chishiya x Female Reader
ToxicNeighbor!Chishiya who became ToxicFriend!Chishiya after just a few days of you being single. It’s been weeks since you and your ex-boyfriend broke apart, thru his actions and ToxicFriend!Chishiya got a new idea how to get into your pants.
ToxicFriend!Chishiya, again, pays for a prostitute to play a role of his liking. The big allowance he gets from his father is more then enough to effort 10 and he always goes for the discrete type, so they know how to keep a secret and their moral is so low, its practically nonexistent, which he greatly appreciated.
ToxicFriend!Chishiya pays the prostitute to play his new girlfriend which he fell for head over heels. At least that’s what he told you. You barely see her. Only when she walks out of his apartment. Strangely its every time you leave too, what are the odds?
ToxicFriend!Chishiya who tells you all stuff about his new girlfriend who he loves oh so much and how perfect she is. What he doesn’t tell you is how he waits every morning for you to leave for work, sitting on one of the stools of his open kitchen with the head of his paid hooker between his legs swallowing his girthy cook while he thinks of you, grunting and groaning and moaning your name with his mind in the clouds and his head thrown back.
ToxicFriend!Chishiya imagines it’s your head he presses down to his cocks base, not caring a single bit when the paid woman whimpers and gags while choking on his erection. He won’t fuck her tho, no, he doesn’t like the way she moans, and it destroys the fantasy of having you with him instead of her.
This goes on for some months and while ToxicFriend!Chishiya becomes more human in your eyes you loose your walls around him. He is taken after all so there is no reason for him to want anything from you, then the wonderful relationship he offers, right? You constantly meet for a glass of wine or something stronger after work, where you tell him how your workday went and he tells you how he lost some fake patient, sometimes its children because he saw how those stories hit you harder.
ToxicFriend!Chishiya tells you about work getting to him and his worries of growing cold and hard. He tells you how his co-workers all build walls around them and joke about their patient’s fate and how disgusting he believes this is and that he is afraid of ending like them. You hug him after that, every time, rubbing his back and reassuring him that he, the all so good doctor, who treats his patients like actual humans and feels with their pain, could never end up like this.
ToxicFriend!Chishiya of course thanks you for your kind words, saying he hopes you are right, while he deeply couldn’t care less for any other human being then himself. And you, he cares about you, but in a deeply disturbing way and if you knew even half the things he does behind your back, you wouldn’t dare to cross his path again.
ToxicFriend!Chishiya who tells you, after some glasses which he totally can take without getting drunk, how different you are to his girlfriend. Then he shares his doubts with you, at least that’s what you think. He tells you that lately his lovely girlfriend has become more distant with him. She tells him it is nothing and he shouldn’t worry but he catches her typing on her smartphone in the bathroom. She waved off his doubts telling him that its just a friend, but he can’t shake of the feeling of something being wrong.
ToxicFriend!Chishiya tells you, feigning fear, that his girlfriend is maybe growing bored of him and will leave him soon for someone else. Of course, you tell him that won’t happen. Trying to cheer him up, you praise him what a wonderful person he is and how lucky his girlfriend can even be to get someone so loyal and loving like him. He stirs some more to get some more compliments out of you, until you blush, and he takes your hand, thanking you with a low voice for your friendship and for being by your side. “What would I do without you?” he asks, and you assure him that he will never have to find this out, because you won’t go anywhere and that’s when he knows he got you hooked.
ToxicFriend!Chishiya doesn’t forget your personal life while fake dating a paid prostitute. When you came over after breaking up with your unfaithful ex-boyfriend, he took the chance of you leaving for the bathroom to refresh your nonexistent make-up, to take your apartment key and press it into mold. Then, after you left, he poured some resin into it and voila, finished was the spare key to your apartment, that you were never going to find out about.
ToxicFriend!Chishiya goes into your apartment on his days off and the other times his schedule doesn’t align with yours. He rummages thru your stuff, takes some panties here and there, one of your lacy bras too, that he knows you will miss, since it is your lucky one.
ToxicFriend!Chishiya who will sync your smartphone with one he bought for the sole purpose of spying on you. After finding out all your passwords, which wasn’t that hard since you use your first tv crushes name and some other stuff you told him after one of too many glasses of wine, ToxicFriend!Chishiya is now UpToDate with every message you write and damn was he happy to see how highly you praised him to your parents. An excellent doctor, you wrote, wonderful person, loyal friend, and handsome man. He is over the moon to see how well you thought of him. None of it true of course.
ToxicFriend!Chishiya who will send you your underwear back after he masturbated on and with it. He makes his fake girlfriend wear your bra while giving him a nice hand job, eyes locked on her boobs, imagining they are yours.
“Don’t you dare waste a single bit” he groans, making sure his cum will stain the fabric forever, then he sends it back to you with a written note of your ex-boyfriends handwriting that says how much he misses you.
ToxicFriend!Chishiya revels in your angst when you realize your ex-boyfriend was in your apartment while you were gone and stole stuff, maybe done even worse things, who knows? ToxicFriend!Chishiya does. You call him over to have someone to talk to and end up crying on his shoulder, completely freaked out after the tenth cum covered panties he sends you. He rubs your back, telling you that he won’t let this guy hurt you. That you can count on him, since he is your friend and always there for you.
ToxicFriend!Chishiya kisses your forehead and holds you in his arms till you barely can keep your eyes open. He sometimes slips in a few words, coating them in worry and fake sympathy. They all sound so caring for you, but for some reason they make you more anxious to be alone in your apartment, which is totally what ToxicFriend!Chishiya was striving for. He tells you how much it pains him to see you like that and that he too worries so much for your safety. Then ToxicFriend!Chishiya brings up the perfect idea. Stay over at his apartment and sleep here until your locks have been changed and you feel safe again. You want to say no, want to tell him that this isn’t necessary, but he got you hooked and when he insists on you having his bed, because there is no way his guest would sleep on this uncomfortable designer couch of his, you too insist on him sleeping in his bed.
ToxicFriend!Chishiya knows you didn’t ask him so he doesn’t have to lay down on some hard cushions for the night, no. You are just so afraid, practically shaking and don’t want to be alone and of course what kind of friend would ToxicFriend!Chishiya be if he said no and you are totally fine with it, even tho a blush is creeping up your face, seeing him getting ready for bed. He is after all such a gentleman, you think, ToxicFriend!Chishiya would never misuse such a vulnerable situation.
ToxicFriend!Chishiya undresses in his bathroom that he purposefully left slightly open for you to catch his naked back and nude chiseled ass. You want to look away. It’s wrong, you are not supposed to see this. ToxicFriend!Chishiya, your good friend, is doing you a huge favor by letting you stay over, treating you like a queen, so caring and sweet and you stump on his trust by creeping up on his body while he is oh so unknowing to the fact his door didn’t close up fully. You are a bad person, you tell yourself, rotten deeply, but still can’t take your eyes away. Unbeknown to you, he can see your starring in his mirror and his confidence only grows when he sees you bite your lower lip and then gasp as he turns around to face you with his front.
Too bad, ToxicFriend!Chishiya thinks, pulling up his pajama pants just in time, so you won’t get to steal a look at his well build crotch. Not yet. You haven’t earned it yet, but soon, he thinks. Then he won’t have the prostitutes’ lips sucking him off, but yours.
Btw, ToxicFriend!Chishiya never makes his paid fake girlfriend wear your panties, even tho it would be easier to stain them that way, but he doesn’t want her pathetic dirty juice mixed with his godly cum on your clothing. No no. It’s his and only his pleasure to be.

How To Make A Cheshire Blush
Tumblr media
Chishiya Shuntarō x reader
You make it your goal to see Chishiya blush
Fluff - Suggestive
I have known Chishiya Shuntarō for a little over eight months since entering the borderland. In that time I have never seen him flustered… Ever.
How is that even possible? What man could be so calm and collected that nothing makes his cheeks flush the color of strawberries? Not even when facing death does his calmness fade…
I glanced over at Chishiya who was watched the group we teamed up with mild amusement as they betrayed each other one by one. How can they all be so foolish? If only they would put their fears aside and trust one another. Maybe then we could all make it out alive and find out who the Jack of Hearts really is. This entire game was so tiresome. I sighed loudly, earning a glance from Choshiya before he returned his gaze to a man sweating profusely as he told another player their suit.
“We’ve been here for days and it’s so…” I folded my arms on the table, “Boring.” I sighed again as my shoulders slumped.
“Find something to do.” Chishiya had zero interest in my boredom and did nothing to try and entertain me.
It wasn’t his problem nor benefit him, so why should he care?
My attention found its way to the pair, Aba and Kotoko. It seemed that they have been attached to the hip quite literally since the start of the game. Studying them closely, they reminded me of a business looking man and his personal assistant.
I chuckled at the thought of all the drama and scandal they might have caused in the old world, especially if he was high up there. I watched as Kotoko pressed herself even more into Aba’s side while he looked as if he held all the power. For a moment I wondered what it would be like to be just like her. To be someone who didn’t rely solely on herself.
I suppose in a way I have some trust to Chishiya, I considered him my friend. He did treat me as a friend though. I also considered Kuina a friend and I knew she thought the same about me. My mind briefly drifted to her and I hoped that she was doing okay, alive somewhere right now.
My thoughts drifted back to Chishiya. He was cool and highly intelligent, not to mention drop dead gorgeous, but something I wonder if he would sacrifice me for his gain.
“I wonder what that feels like.” I muttered as I placed my chin in the palm of my hand.
“What?” Chishiya took a bite from his own bag of cookies as his attention flicked over to where I was looking, “To be a self righteous prick?”
“No.” I shook my head leaning on my chin, “To rely so heavily on someone to protect you that you don’t learn how to protect yourself.”
“You wouldn’t make it very far with that mentality.” Chishiya muttered, “Luckily, you’re too smart for that.”
I grinned at the small compliment from the Cheshire man. It was rare to hear praise from him even if it was usually mixed with mockery. It was in that moment that my innocent grin turned sly as I thought of the perfect thing that could keep my boredom at bay.
His brows furrowed at my smile, “Quit looking at me like that, it’s weird.”
“What if the only person I knew to keep me safe was you?” My grin turned into a smirk.
“But it isn’t?” His answer came out more of a question as he tried to figure out my plan.
“But what if?” I leaned my weight onto his side, wrapping my arms around one of his, “Would you take advantage of my undying loyalty, Shuntarō?” I could see a blush coat his cheeks and I couldn’t help, but laugh, “Of course you would, you sneaky cat.”
He nudged me off him with a grunt. I leaned closer to make sure I was seeing this right… The Chishiya Shuntarō was in fact, blushing.
“Oh my stars.” I gasped in amusement as I pressed a hand to my heart, “Is that a blush I see, Chishi?”
I did it! I thought as excitement built up inside me. I made him blush!
“No.” He looked away from me.
“I think it is.” I poked his cheek, giggling as I sat back.
My giggling died down as I looked at him. He didn’t say anything, but he seemed flustered. Is it possible that he held some kind of feelings for me?
“Chishi.” I smiled when he looked at me, “You want some?” I held up my strawberry cake roll.
He eyed me and it suspiciously before he gave a simple nod. I opened the package, breaking off a piece for him to try. I shook my head as he reached for it as I brought it up to his lips. He opened his mouth slowly as he took a bite.
“So would that make you a self righteous prick?” I teased quietly as I fed the cake to him.
He rolled his eyes and he leaned back, taking time to chew and see if he liked the cake.
“Way too much strawberry.” He mumbled after he swallowed, but continued to eat the next piece I gave him.
He returned the gesture with his own bag of cookies as we munched on the others snacks.
“I am an asshole.” He spoke without hesitation, “I am not kind. I am manipulative and I do what I must to get ahead. I don’t care about anything so why are you always hanging around me?”
“You are those things, but I think you’re wrong about how you see yourself Chishiya. You are so much more than that. You are kind, to Kuina and to me. You are manipulative, but that just means how intelligent you are in understanding everything. You can solve the hardest puzzle on earth with just a glance. You say you don’t care, but deep down I know that you do. You have just built a wall that is worth climbing because you mean more than anything in the world to me.” I answered softly.
He wasn’t able to respond as the speaker dinged.
“I believe it’s almost time.” I sighed as I looked up at the clock.
My attention turned to Kotoko who grabbed a packet of cookies… The same brand that Matsushita grabbed a few minutes ago.
“Hm…” I hummed watching what would be a meaningless passerby between the two, “Maybe I do have more undying loyalty than Kotoko.”
“Seems so.” Chishiya smirked.
I turned in my seat, brushing my hair away from my collar.
“Heart.” He said and turned so that I could tell him his suit.
“Diamond.” I repeated the symbol I saw.
“Fits us well.” He muttered standing up to begin our journey to our cells.
“Aw does that mean I have your heart Chishi?” I stepped up to him teasingly.
“You have my headache.” He stated before walking into his cell.
I entered the one beside him with a warm feeling creeping in my chest. I think it’s the other way around, I think you have my heart Shuntarō.
“Heart.” I spoke my final answer as I waited to leave the cell.

BACK TO YOU — CHISHIYA X FEM!READER
MAJOR AIB SPOILERS !!
SUMMARY — you win the games and wake up in the hospital. remembering everything that happened in the borderlands and not knowing if chishiya made it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
your mouth was dry and it tasted like blood. your eyes opened slowly, getting used to the bright lights of the hospital room and you hissed when your hand landed on your temples. you had some cuts on your face, covered with gauzes and medical tapes, and some bruises too, especially around your eyes and on your cheekbones.
you looked around the room and you could see your mom's purse next to your bed, but she wasn't in the room. somethings never change, not even when you are at the hospital after having been dead for a few seconds. once you tried to sit on the bed, you felt a stabbing pain in your lower abdomen and then on your forearm. your hand went directly where it hurt in your belly and you realized that you were wearing a bigger gauze there and another of the same size on your arm, and at that moment a wave of memories hit you making you feel dizzy. the beach. the next level. the king of spades. chishiya.
chishiya.
you gasped and forced yourself to remember when was the last time that you saw him. niragi's gun was pointing at you when he suddenly stepped in the middle of your body and the bullet with your name written in it.
"why would you do it?" you asked him with tears in your eyes. chishiya just showed you a smirk. you told him that he needed to resist, that there were only two games left and everything will be over. a little smile remained on chishiya’s lips as he nodded slowly. he knew that by the time you completed the games he wouldn't be there. you wanted to stay by his side but usagi and arisu dragged you out of there when the zeppelin of the king of spades appeared.
the last thing you remember from that day was lying next to kuina and ann on the cold ground. your back hurt and your wounds didn't stop bleeding as you watched the fireworks and listened to what you were being asked. "i decline." you finally answered, with tears in the corners of your eyes.
you got up from the hospital bed and noticed that you were sharing a room with someone else. that someone in the room with you was separated from your side with a curtain. with small steps and with a hand on your belly, right where your wound was, you approached the curtain, and being extremely careful, you had a quick peek to the other side. you took a sharp breath after you recognized the boy on the other side. his thick brown hair was stuck to his forehead, and just like you, he had some gauzes on his face. he gave a small jump on the bed when he noticed that someone was staring at him from a small opening in the curtain, but his frown relaxed once he recognized you.
"y/n?" he asked, still a bit confused.
"arisu." you removed the curtain completely and his eyes opened wide. he removed the blanket from himself and turned his body to let his legs hang from the bed, ready to get up from the moment he saw you. you were quicker than him and hugged him, maybe a little too hard because you both hissed when your bodies collided. you stayed like that for a few seconds more and then he asked you if you were okay, and how long had been since you woke up.
"a minute?" you asked him. your head hurt. "everything- everything happened in a minute. all the games, all the deaths? in a minute?"
arisu nodded. you gulped. all the things you lived with chishiya happened in sixty seconds. you felt like you could throw up. you shook your head and decided to talk about anything else. "did usagi make it?"
"yes. she was with me when we finished the last game."
you nodded, glad to hear that your friend was alive. "kuina and ann also made it. i think i heard aguni and akane too but i can't remember well."
arisu then understood. you knew that all of your friends made it but not if he did. "i'm sure- i'm sure he's here. i'm sure chishiya got out."
you shook your head with your eyes closed. arisu didn't know that. when the king of spades appeared and him and usagi separated you from chishiya, his white jacket was already soaked in blood. the first bullet hit him in a noncritical area, but the second one, the one that should've got you, went directly into his chest. you didn't need to be a med student to know that that was bad.
"come on. let's go for a walk." arisu got up from the bed and kissed your forehead after noticing how sad your eyes were. you hooked your arm in his. every now and then arisu would stop to check up on you, if you were breathing well, if you were too tired to continue but you assured him every time that you were fine.
you saw aguni in the icu. the doctors that came out of the room were pointing out how that man being alive was practically a medical miracle. akane was on a wheelchair looking at him through the glass. the girl was very pleased to see you both again. she asked about your injuries and she thanked arisu in a subtle way for winning the last game. she didn't know if you were ready to talk openly about what happened. she didn't even know if she was.
you tried to run and arisu had to hold you so you wouldn't fall down the moment that you saw kuina. her face glowed and she had to blink a couple of times to believe her eyes. kuina was kneeling in front of a woman in a wheelchair, a man was standing next to the two of them, and you guessed that they were her parents. she was quick to stand up, her father had to help her to get to you and arisu, and then you hugged her tightly. you were careful though, you saw how bad her injuries were. you remember the king of spades on top of her, stabbing multiple times her stomach, blood coming out of her mouth and you immobile lying on the ground after being shot by him.
"have you seen him? do you know if he made it out?" you held kuina's cheeks. defeated, you let out a sigh after seeing kuina's confused expression. she shook her head to both of your questions. kuina told you that the last time that she saw chishiya was when the king of spades attacked for the first time, and then each of you followed a different path and she never saw him again after that. but when she met arisu again, he said that chishiya was fine.
you slowly turned to look at arisu with raised eyebrows, and the boy just shrugged his shoulders. on second thought, you were sure that arisu didn't do it with bad intentions. you had to explain to her that niragi shot him twice. kuina gasped and covered her mouth with her hand. you told her that the second time niragi was aiming at you but chishiya stood in the middle. that did not come as a surprise to her. she knew him longer than you did. they were already at the beach when you arrived there with arisu and usagi, and as long as she had known him, chishiya had always acted unbothered. he wasn't a big fan of showing affection. he was selfish, arrogant, and really self-centered. but kuina knew that he would take a bullet for you.
she insisted on joining you and arisu on your walk. you three recognized some people who were in the games with you: people from the beach, that kid usagi fought so hard to save, people you tried to kill, and people that tried to kill you.
"excuse me?"
the hospital reception was chaotic, and you barely heard the woman at the other side of the counter humming to your question.
"i'm- i'm looking for someone."
"name?"
you blinked a few times at her sudden question. you played with your fingers nervously. she raised her eyebrows waiting for an answer. "chishiya shuntarō."
you shouldn't have ask. you should have waited for him to find you. what if the woman told you what you didn't want to hear? no. no. no. you should've waited, or had arisu to ask for you. but now you were waiting for that woman to finish typing on the computer and maybe to tell you that he was dea-
"third floor, room 301."
"oh." you said in a sigh. you could feel all your body relaxing, your hands stopped trambling, your legs didn't feel like giving up anymore. but you could also feel your heart beating in your throat, and your chest slowly heaving. the woman raised her eyebrows at you again.
"do you need anything else?"
you gulped, shaking your head softly and coming back to you. "hm?oh. no, thank you."
you turned around and walked towards arisu and kuina, your eyes locked on the floor. your two friends arched their brows worried, by your face both of them expected the worse. kuina could feel that familiar lump that forms in your throat moments before bursting into tears. arisu approached you and his hands gripped your shoulders. your eyes connected with his.
"y/n-"
"he's on the third floor."
arisu sighed in relief. kuina also let out a sigh and she wiped away some tears off her cheeks before you could see her. she approached the woman and asked for an and she told kuina that she was in the operating room, which was also a strong relief.
time passed slowly, and the way to the third floor was the longest you could remember. not when you were walking to the control room with him and kuina, escaping from the militants, not when you were heading to a game, not even when you ran to him after niragi shot him. the elevator was too slow for you.
arisu was checking up on you, kuina was too deep in her thoughts. once the elevator stopped and the doors opened, you gulped and looked at arisu. he nodded for you to be the first one out of the elevator. what you didn't expect was to see chishiya in the middle of the hallway, his body slightly curved and one of his hands pressing his lower abdomen. he was talking to his doctor, probably asking a million questions like why he had put him on that medication instead of the other one, and trying to convince him why the other one was better.
"chishiya."
the boy quickly turned to see who was calling him and his eyes opened wide in surprise. "y/n." chishiya soon forgot about the doctor. one of his arms wrapped around your waist, the other one hugged your upper body, resting his hand on the back of your head and pulling you closer to him. he hid his face into the crook of your neck.
it was weird having him in between your arms in the real world. once you two were completely healed you'd go back to your normal life but you'll have each other. you were going to have to get used to his twenty-four hours shift as a doctor, and he was going to get used to hugs and kisses every day. but now, with his arms wrapped around you and after gone through that much, he thought that he could get used to that easily.
"i knew that you would make it." chishiya said with a small smile on his lips. one of his hands pushed your hair away from your face and tucked it behind your ear. the other one held your chin up trying to see through the gauzes on your face what type of injuries you had.
arisu and kuina were standing behind you. chishiya shared a glance with both of them. arisu was smirking, kuina was biting her nails with tears in her eyes, probably waiting for her turn to greet her friend but not wanting to separate you. you rested your head on his chest, careful to not touch where he was shot. your lower lip trembled, tears started forming in your eyes.
"i thought that you-"
someone talked before chishiya could. "that could never happen, you know what they say, only the good ones die young."
"you bastard." you looked over chishiya's shoulders and tried to move away from him the moment that you saw niragi at the end of the hallway, approaching the group from behind chishiya. he was quick to hold you tighter against him, to prevent you from hurting yourself even more by hitting niragi.
niragi was smiling. even though half of his body was covered with bandages you could see that disgusting smirk on his lips.
"i'm gonna kill you," you stated. niragi laughed at you. you couldn't see it but chishiya smirked, his arms still hugging you and not letting you part from him.
"it's not that big of a deal, honey. he's is alive and i got to shoot him. we both won."
chishiya could stop you but he didn't have enough arms to stop kuina. the girl passed by your side like a fury. arisu tried to grab her arm but she was mad. her fists were already clenched before she was even close to niragi, and arisu called her name in a last attempt of stopping her. niragi looked down at her with a smile on his lips. he knew what was coming. he had seen that face on kuina before.
her fist closed tighter and with all the strength in her body, she punched niragi. his mouth and nose started bleeding right after but he didn't stop laughing. she had her fist ready again but arisu grabbed her waist from behind pulling her away from him.
"better?" chishiya asked after feeling your breathing slowing down. you nodded and you both looked at kuina kicking in the arms of arisu. chishiya raised his brows looking at the doctors coming to assist niragi. "well, he deserved it." you rolled your eyes at him.
"you have to tell me a lot of things, i guess." chishiya said referring to your bruised face. you nodded, he was going to believe everything that happened between the time he was shot until arisu and usagi won the last game.
"i haven't seen banda and yaba."
chishiya smiled at your innocent. "i'm sure that they are fine but i'm also sure that they decided to stay." you already thought about that. you nodded understanding. what a shame because they were nice to you during the jack of hearts game, and they promised you that you'll see each other again. chishiya knew by your face that you didn't listen when he said that banda was a murderer and yaba was a scammer. people like that could only live freely in the borderlands.
not people like you two tho

second, first meeting | chishiya shuntarou
Tumblr media
spoiler warning for ending of aib season 2
after the meteor, chishiya notices the all too familiar person. their a pull towards you - like maybe you’ve met somewhere? (gn reader)
words - 1.1k
a/n: WOW AIB 2 FINALLY OUT AND THE ENDING WAS REALLY GOOD I THINK. anyways arisu and usagis ending was so cute and i needed literally the “have we met?” scenario with ALL of them. and i’m a weak so i made this, very shoot, not beta’d, just a small and sweet drabble. enjoy reading!!!
Chishiya is alive.
He sure as hell didn't feel like it, but he was. The meteorite took a lot out of him, physically and mentally. Waking up in the beeping hospital room with a sudden new look on life, and he was going to do something about it. No more being a messenger for bad news, slowly tearing down people's hope one referral after another.
Dozens of people just experienced the same pain and trauma as he walked around him, some looking better than others. A girl with an amputated leg, a man in a coma as he passed by his room, and a girl and boy walking hand in hand with injuries littered over them. Humanity– always finding love in terrible suitaions.
Chishiya stood in one of the hospital common rooms, people-watching as he always does. God– it feels like a lifetime had passed since the meteorite. Chishiya was familiar with the whirring and beeping sounds of hospitals, people chatting and crying, and the strong smell of disinfectants and bleach. He was a doctor, all these things filled his life to the brim, it was familiar.
Even you.
You, who stood across the room; tucked into a corner (like chishiya), people-watching, snacking on crackers, and keeping yourself comfortably hidden. Yes, you’d caught his eyes. But something felt off deep inside his stomach, something was off about you. Almost like you were too familiar, chishiya could see a lifetime in your eyes and this is the only time he's ever seen you. Maybe, it wasn't?
Chishiya knew better than to laser focus on one person in the room, because your head perked up. Right into his direction, but chishiya’s gaze didn't falter– he couldn't even if he wanted to. The pull towards you was too intense, it made him dizzy. shock, confusion, remembrance? Flashed across your face, similar to him.
A small, sweet smile grew on your face. Fuck, what medication did they put him on? That meteorite really did a deal on him because suddenly he can’t breathe. For a moment he thought maybe his stitched came undone, half expecting to see blood soaking his scrubs when he looked down. But no– it was just you. Chishiya’s has never seen a smile so familiar, yet foreign.
Your eyes narrowed in his direction, like you were trying to read him. Something many people found difficult in the past, Chishiya didn’t put up a fight or a stone-cold face. Chishiya narrowed his eyes back, like a challenge.
So wrapped up in you that he didn't see the teenage boy wheeling a little too close to his toes in a wheelchair. “Ow!” chishiya yelped.
“Ah! I’m sorry, I’m sorry.” the boy began to spew out a plethora of apologies, frantically bowing his head to the elder.
“It's okay!” chishiya reassure, the sting in his toe had already been subdued– an easy injury compared to the bandaged and stitched-up ones he gained a few days ago. “Seriously, it’s okay.”
The boys' apologies slowed and he wheeled off, practically still bowing. Chishiya chuckled under his breath at the gesture. Looking back up to find you again, weird– what's got into him? Your spot ghosted empty and chishiya’s eyes frantically searched for you, only to find your back now turned to him and trudging down the hallways. Right as his eyes landed on you, your neck turned and you glanced back at chishiya.
A challenge indeed.
Chishiya curiously cocked his head, looking something like a cat. And then one foot in front of another, chishiya was following you down the hallway. He wasn't sure why, maybe he didn’t need a reason. I mean, he almost died, chishiya felt like he didn’t need a solid reason to do anything anymore besides what he wanted. And he wanted to follow the beautiful, mysterious, and weirdly familiar person around in a hospital. Like cat and mouse.
And that's how chishiya ended up in a quieter, more intimate area. Middle of a hallway, near a set of tables and a vending machine. Usually, where loved one would sit weary-eyed and waiting for good news. You came to a halt, chishiya stopped. You turned around slowly, that sweet smile that made chishiya’s stomach feel weird (apart from the wounds.)
“You're following me.”
Something that would so usually sound like a question, was a statement. Because it was meant to be, because you knew he was from the beginning. You intended on it. Chishiya already likes you. And hell– your voice almost gave him whiplash, so silk and sweet. Echoing distantly in his head, like he's heard it a million times before.
“And you wanted me too,” chishiya replied coyly. His voice felt so scratching and his throat burned as he spoke, being without water and unconscious for too long. Shoving his hands in his pockets, leaning back slightly. Even half dead he must keep up his cool-guy image.
You didn’t reply, only a wider grin growing on your face. And chishiya found it hard to bite back one of his own. How so uncharacteristic of him – he felt so warm.
“Maybe.” you finally said.
Chishiya hummed, beginning to close the distance – one foot in front of another – between the two of you.
You watched him intently, chishiya knew it. Normally he’d perceive this as someone sizing him up, but your eyes told a different story as they trailed up his body. Something that'd make his ears hot and red.
“Meteor?” you asked, gesturing to his wounds. Chishiya nodded. “Me too.”
It was awkward for a moment, but not uncomfortable. The silence was deafening as if it wasn't meant for the two of you. Like there were so many words only on the tip of his tongue, words unsaid, words he didn’t even know – but they were begging to be spoken.
You were the first to break the silence, stepping closer. Now only 2 or 3 feet in front of him. “Have I, sorry, this is weird– but, have we met before? Like even passed each other on the streets.”
“Not to my knowledge.”
You hummed, looking around to avoid the intense eye contact that tugged you closer, and closer and–
“Would you like to know me?” chishiya said, his eyes not leaving yours. A weird sense of home lay in your eyes, chishiya was ready to jump fully in.
You tried to cover the eagerness in you, waiting a moment. Dramatically tapping a finger to your chin as you thought. “I think that’d be nice.”
Chishiyas lip quirked up, following yours.
He may not know you the way he feels, but he will.

Knowing Chishiya isn’t one to openly express his feelings I can totally picture him telling his s/o how he feels about her whenever she’s not aware.
Like she’s sleeping? He’ll be mumbling non stop about how much he loves her.
She’s in another room? He’d be whispering: “come here, I miss you”
She’s staring at the wall contemplating life? “I miss your eyes on me”
She has just woken up and she looks sleepy asf? “God, you look so beautiful”
And he thinks she can’t hear him but she often can and she has the biggest smile on her face every time.
She would pretend to be asleep just so she can hear him saying “I love you” until one day she says it back and he’s like 😦

A/N: Sorry this I took so long to upload school is kicking my ass and I’m sick 😭 also a sentence in here made me think of a sequel, guess which part lol. Also I’m actually sort of happy how this turned out but let me know what you guys think!
Summary: Just some more Chishiya smut. Do y’all sense a pattern of what I post? He might be a little ooc but I tried.
Pairings: Shuntaro Chishiya x Fem!Reader
Word Count: 1.1k
Warnings: Smut
Up and down, up and down, up and down.
That’s the only thing going through your mind at the moment. That’s the only thing that can go through your mind at the moment.
Your thighs are so tired, but that coil in your stomach that has been building up is so close to snapping.
Chishiya is lying beneath you, casually holding onto your hips while watching you bounce on his cock while your cunt is tightly squeezing around it.
You’ve been at this for a while. It started with just some lighthearted teasing while you both were in Chishiya’s room at The Beach. But that lighthearted teasing led to you saying you can get off without Chishiya’s help, and now you're regretting your choice of words- and humor.
You let out a choked sob when Chishiya’s cock brushes against that spongy spot inside of you.
“I thought you said you could get off by yourself, didn't you?” Chishiya’s voice cuts through the room.
“ ‘m sorry,” you whine.
The frustration of not being able to cum made tears well up behind your eyes, which are so close to sliding down your face.
Chishiya doesn’t move, of course not. Even if you beg enough you’re not sure he’ll take mercy on you. He’s just watching you amusingly. His lips twitch led up in a small, condescending smile.
“ ‘m sorry, ‘m sorry, please!” You cry out, those tears finally spilling down your flushed cheeks.
Your pace was stuttering, legs too tired to keep the rhythm, and that blissful feeling that was building up soon disappears as you ruin your own orgasm once again.
Your cunt squeezes in desperation and your upper body soon slumps down onto Chishiya’s, both of your naked chests flush together.
You’re still grinding against him, your clit brushing against his pelvis. You can hear how sticky it is down there every time you move.
A desperate whimper leaves your lips when Chishiya lifts his hips slightly, giving more pressure to your sensitive bud while simultaneously pushing his cock deeper in your soaked hole.
“Please,” you whimper out.
The ache between your legs is getting too much to handle. The only things you can think of at this point is Chishiya and having him make you cum.
“Please what?”
The shift of his lower body makes you whine once again. He’s messing with you, you know that, but at this point you don’t care.
“Please make me cum,” you sob, tears still streaming down your face.
Your face was in the crook of his neck so you couldn’t see him, but you could feel the amused snicker vibrate his body.
“Backing out of a challenge so soon?”
All you can do is nod frantically hoping he’ll grant you some mercy. You feel him hum thoughtfully only to feel him tap your sides.
“Up, I’ll help you, but you have to stay in the position you were before.”
Knowing that that’s as far as Chishiya was willing to compromise, you use all your strength to sit back up.
Breathing heavily, you brace your hands on Chishiya’s chest. His eyes remain focused on your face, almost as if he’s entertained by your struggle. Knowing him, he probably is.
Gripping your hips Chishiya steadies you, only to thrust up into your cunt, his cock brushing against your g-spot precisely.
Letting out a broken moan, you lean most of your weight on your hands, only to have Chishiya thrust up again and again and having him hit your g-spot over and over.
Your eyes are unfocused, but you can make you the smug grin covering Chishiya’s face with every thrust. He doesn’t break his pace once, and the only thing coming out of your mouth now is whimpers.
That pool of arousal soon starts building up once again, and god you can’t take it any longer. You can feel every thrust of Chishiya’s cock dragging against your sopping wet walls.
Chishiya could see a white ring forming around the base of his cock, and knowing you're close again, starts to slow down, making you wait for your release even longer.
You let out another sob of frustration, only to hear Chishiya quiet chuckling.
“You didn’t think It’d be that easy did you?”
You knew he wouldn’t just give into you. You knew, yet you still thought that he might’ve given you a little leniency. Apparently not though. He’s stopped his movements and settled for controlling your hips in a slow grind, making sure your clit rubs against his pelvis every time.
“I said I would help, not do all the work.” There was a slight pause before Chishiya continued. “Unless you don’t want to cum?”
That last sentence cut through your foggy mind. You knew he wasn’t playing around. If he wanted to, he could deny you cumming at all. He has before, and he sure as hell would do it again.
So, you slowly begin to bounce on Chishiya’s cock once again. Of course, he follows through with his promise to you, gripping your hips and helping you go up and down like you were previously.
That coil in your stomach was beginning to tighten fastly, the four previous ruined orgasms making you so much more sensitive.
You’re right at the edge, so close you could practically see the bliss that was sure to take over you.
Chishiya’s hand slides up your soaked thigh covered in both of your juices, to your cunt, that is continuously riding his cock. His thumb brushes over your clit once, twice, only the third time he starts rubbing tight circles against it.
Your head falls back, jaw open, as you let out a silently moan. And when Chishiya’s cock hits your g-spot once again, that coil finally snaps.
A shutter racks your body as goosebumps cover your skin. You see white as you cum all over Chishiya’s cock, creaming around it. A euphoric sense passes through you and you don’t think you’ve ever felt this good.
Your body slumps safely onto Chishiya, who was currently helping you ride out your orgasm by continually rubbing your sensitive bundle of nerves.
Coming down finally from you high, you start to whine at the overstimulation, only to be flipped around on your back with Chishiya hovering above you, thrusting shallowly into your sensitive heat.
“You didn’t think we were done did you?”
The feeling of his lips kissing and sucking their way up your neck had you leaning your head back, giving him more access.
Only then does he brush them against your ear and whisper.
“I didn’t even cum yet.”

━━ chishiya isn’t used to giving affection so you become friends with tatta and accidentally start drifting away from chishiya which upsets him ( fluff , angst )

You and Chishiya met in odd circumstances, but you were glad that you found each other.
However you couldn't figure out how you piqued Chishiya's curiosity.
He was the opposite of you clever, subtle, and cunning while you were noisy, clumsy, and awkward.
If you had met on any other occasions you were convinced that Chishiya would have despised you, but perhaps your kind and extroverted personality provided him solace.
Your relationship started slightly rocky, but you quickly found the ideal balance.
Chishiya figured out that you were someone that thrived off physical contact and made an effort to provide it to you as much as he could.
While you learned that your boyfriend preferred stillness in the morning, so you attempted to tone yourself out to please him.
Both of you appreciated each other's efforts, and you gradually established a strong relationship.
Something you quickly noticed was that Chishiya liked his personal space. While you respected that and never crossed boundaries, you were desperate for more affection.
It didn't even matter who it came from, your boyfriend, a friend, or a stranger.
You didn't care if it wasn't physical or romantic, you just longed for someone constantly around you.
So, you were delighted when Tatta arrived at The Beach.
He was very chill and easygoing and didn't mind you rambling his ear off 24/7.
As time passed, you began growing closer to Tatta to the point that you spend more time with him than with your boyfriend.
At first, Chishiya didn't notice anything until Kuina pointed it out.
She had questioned him who the guy was that you were spending all your time, which baffled Chishiya slightly.
Sure he had seen you around with a guy pretty often, but he knew that you required your daily dose of affection to function properly, and he couldn't give that to you.
So at first, he didn't think much of it until it escalated even further.
Chishiya had promised you to protect you as good as he could during games and preferred for you to be within five feet from him in case something happened, that meant that you practically always joined his games.
But now you were rarely in the same game unless Tatta was standing not even three feet away from you.
Chishiya also noticed that by the time he woke up you would have already left, and when he went to sleep you weren't there either.
The only indication that you actually entered the room was when he would feel you wrap your arms around him in the middle of the night, assuming that he was fast asleep while he wasn't.
The lack of your usual overbearing affection had affected Chishiya which he didn't want to admit it.
He couldn't sleep anymore unless he felt your warmth surrounding him, and he was becoming more reckless during games.
You didn't even know the torment that your boyfriend was going through because you hadn't even noticed it yourself.
While you were aware that your typical affection for your boyfriend had subdued slightly, you assumed he liked it more this way.
Perhaps if he tried to inform you how he felt, then he wouldn't be so desperate for you now.
Briefly, after you established your relationship with Chishiya, you started your own little tradition of where you would sit on the roof on Friday night before the games.
Chishiya had been sitting there for over an hour hoping that you would barge in with a lopsided smile while kissing and hugging him affectionately while he complained jokingly about it.
But you never came because you had fallen asleep on Tatta's floor.
The hours of sleep you missed during the night were catching up to you and while you were waiting for Tatta in his room you had fallen asleep on the floor.
You attempted to fight the sleep because you remembered that you had to meet your boyfriend tonight, which made a lovesick smile appear on your face.
But unfortunately, you couldn't fight it off.
Chishiya let out an aggravated huff when he realized that you weren't coming.
Even though your friendship with Tatta had started long ago, you never skipped your weekly roof date.
It wasn't even a date, and he never told you to come every week, it was just something natural that the two of you did.
There were still two hours left before the games would begin, so Chishiya decided to look for you. Curious as to what you deemed crucial enough to bail on him.
He firstly checked your room but just as he presumed it was empty with no sign of you.
Now that he was examining your shared room, he noticed that the signs that you lived there were nearly none existent.
The soothing scent of your perfume had withered slightly, and your clothing wasn't scattered across the room like it usually is.
His heart clenched as he realized that you had been drifting away from him just because he couldn't listen to you a little longer or hug you slightly more.
You were never a demanding partner, the only thing you asked for was his love and affection.
He quickly shut the door before closing his eyes for a few brief seconds to compose himself, so he could continue his search for you.
Chishiya checked the bar, the pool, and practically every spot that he knew you liked.
Time passed quickly, and it was almost time to start the games.
Your boyfriend's concerns grew because he didn't even know whether you had any visa left or not, so he quickened his pace and began looking for anyone that might know where you are.
First, he approached Kuina who only shook her head before offering to help him search for you.
Then he caught a glimpse of Arisu and Usagi sitting together next to the pool, and he recalled seeing you around them quite often, but they too didn't have a clue as to where you were.
Just as Chishiya was about to walk away, he heard Usagi speak softly.
“Maybe Tatta knows where she is, I saw them earlier today at the bar,”
Chishiya could feel his heart clench once again before nodding at Usagi and bolting off to find Tatta.
He quickly found out what room he lived in and speed walked to it before harshly knocking on the door.
He could feel the anger and frustration rise in him when the man who was stealing you away from him opened the door with a smile.
“Ch-” Tatta was quickly cut off by the blonde-haired man who had been harshly glaring at him.
“Where's my girlfriend?” Tatta looked slightly taken aback by his sudden malice because of the stories you told him about your precious Shuntaro.
That wasn't the adorable man who allows you to tie his hair back for him while cleaning his face, nor was this the man who always had a bottle of water standing on his bedside table to offer to you because you abruptly woke up thirsty.
This was the vicious man that uses and manipulates people, so he could survive, this was the man who was ready to sacrifice everyone around him just so he could make it out alive not caring about their lives.
“She's here-” that was all it took for Chishiya to barge in while looking around to find you.
His hammering heart subsided slightly when he saw you peacefully asleep on Tatta's couch with a blanket thrown over you.
“She said she wanted to wait here until she was going to meet with you, but she fell asleep on the ground, so I put her on the couch,” Tatta nervously clarified while Chishiya sat down beside you.
His slender fingers caressed through your hair while he absorbed the sight in front of him.
“How many days of her visa does she have left?” Chishiya hissed out the words, displeased that he didn't know the answer himself.
“Four. B-”
“I'll take her to our room,” Chishiya didn't say anything else before taking you into his arms in bridal style with a slight huff.
It was a miracle Chishiya made it to your room with no misfortunes because he wasn't exactly really muscular.
Fortunately, he too had some days left, so he gently put you on your bed before pulling the covers over your exhausted form.
His slippers had been carelessly discarded somewhere in your room, and he lay down beside you.
You instinctively curled up into his side, which made a remote smile appear on your boyfriend's face before he wrapped his arms around you.
Chishiya concluded that it felt nice.
Having you so near he brought him solace, and he couldn't comprehend why he ever refused your affection.
He kissed the top of your head lazily while your legs got entangled. His eyes felt like they weighed a ton, so he quickly fell asleep with you pressed against him as close as possible.
Hours later, the sun had risen again, and your eyelids softly fluttered open.
A smile tugged on your lips as Chishiya's softened features were the first thing you saw.
His arms were still tightly wrapped around you and your legs were intertwined together.
You decided to try to enjoy the view for as long as you could before your boyfriend would wake up again.
After a few minutes, you couldn't resist the urge to touch his face. He looked so fragile and he radiated warmth.
Your fingers delicately grazed his jaw before moving to his lips. They felt smooth and warm, but your fingers quickly moved to his cheek and nose.
Your finger skimmed over his mole softly before you straightened out his eyebrows.
He looked majestic in the morning light with his guard down. You couldn't apprehend as to how the man in front of you was real.
When Chishiya regained consciousness, your fingers were softly massaging his scalp which elicited a purr out of him.
Your movements halted at the odd sound coming from your boyfriend, whose lip corners were slightly upturned.
“Don't stop.”
His groggy morning voice sent you over the moon, and you instantly continued.
Chishiya enveloped his arms tighter around your waist, so your back was slightly arched while he nuzzled his face into your neck.
“Give me all of your affection,” his voice was slightly muffled, but you understood him perfectly fine.
“What?” You questioned him with a grin on your face.
“I want you to give me all of your affection,” he stated once again.
“I thought you didn't like it because I was too overbearing,” you sheepishly said.
“I don't care if it's overbearing if it comes from you, I want it.”
His words made you smile softly, and you kissed the crown of his head lovingly, which made him smile.
The two of you enjoyed the quiet morning within one another's arm with occasional kisses before you broke the silence.
“Chishiya?” His soft feathery kisses on your neck didn't stop as he hummed for you to continue.
“I love you.”
Your boyfriend pulled his face out of your neck for the first time that morning to face you with a lazy smile painted across his heavenly features.
“I love you too,” he told you before placing his hand on the back of your neck to kiss you passionately

“Will you get out of my way?” You shove the tall male to the side playfully as you fasten the collar around your neck. Banda’s eyes met yours and you grinned mischievously. “This place remind you of anything?”
“You’re so funny,” he replies blandly. The prison around you is cold and you’re thankful for the cardigan you’ve kept all these weeks. You follow behind Banda as he walks up the stairs, eyes on the floor as you anticipate your newest game. “Jack of Hearts — what are you expecting?”
Thinking the question over briefly, you speak monotonously, “Russian roulette, probably.”
“I wouldn’t be so lucky.”
Eyes are on you both as you walk into the main hallway. A girl in a blue dress catches your attention, then a sweet looking guy in yellow and overalls. Your eyes drop to the floor again as the automated voice goes over the game and the rules. A subtle nudge against your shoulder catches your attention. Banda speaks without moving, “you and me?”
“That’s what I was planning, doofus.”
Your gaze drifts around the room again as people begin to pair up. Banda wanders off, exploring the area you’re locked in indefinitely. A white hood catches your attention, eyes following down their figure until you’re met with analyzing eyes and a familiar smirk. Your lips part, “Chishiya?”
As if he can hear you, the man tilts his head at you before walking off with his chosen group.
Banda has collected a new person to join your duo — the stranger looks you over before grinning shyly. The hair on the back of your neck stands up, distrust crawling up your spine as you smile back. Meeting Banda’s gaze, you knew he was just as wary.
The killer — because that’s what he was in the other world and this one — slinks up next to you slyly. “See anyone you know?”
“Maybe,” you’re looking around once more, observing the way everyone interacts. Inclining your body slightly to the right, your eyes meet Chishiya’s. “Him. We were… together, in the other world. Something our parents agreed on.”
Banda lets out a mischievous snicker before leaning closer to you. “How cute. And he hasn’t come to say hello? Pity.”
You glare his way, wedging your elbow into the right side of his ribcage. The timer goes off then and you scamper over to an empty cell to give your card suit. As you exit your cell, Chishiya is idling in front of you curiously. He sways before speaking, “you know he’s killed people, right?”
“At this point, I haven’t met anyone here who isn’t a murderer.”
The blond hums before his gaze drifts, landing on something over your right shoulder. You know it’s Banda, looming behind you as he usually does. Chishiya looks to you again and speaks before his group comes to collect him. “I look forward to your survival.”
You find yourself in the cafeteria, stuffing snacks into the pockets of your cardigan for later before grabbing a drink and something to eat right then. Banda is sitting against the wall, staring ahead at Chishiya as you sit beside him. A pack of cookies lands in his lap — Banda doesn’t flinch as he peels the snack open and begins to eat it.
“Do you have to stare?” You mumble. Matsushita hadn’t returned from his bathroom break yet and you found relief in his absence. Another chip is placed in your mouth as you glare at Banda  — he was still staring Chishiya’s way. “You have a crush on him or somethin’?”
Before he could answer, a body is slammed next to yours. Looking down, you see a man sweating and crying as another looms over him menacingly. Banda slides up beside you, whispering a small, “lie to him.” in the man’s ear. You look away from them and see Chishiya looking at you again, judgment clouding his eyes as you don’t speak up against Banda.
You grumble, “already startin’ shit and we just got here.”
“The game had to start sometime.”
As time passes, players dwindle slowly until the number hastens. There are only six of you left now — Chishiya’s partner couldn’t handle the pressure of the games, it seemed. Banda and Matsushita tell you your symbol — “club.” — before Banda breaks away from your group. You can feel the former’s eyes on you as you take sips from your drink, unnerving every inch of your skin. He interrupts the silence with a brutal curveball. “He’s lying to you, Banda. Your symbol is spade.”
“Why would he lie to me?”
“Maybe he thinks you’re the Jack,” Matsushita grins. Then he shrugs and leans against the wall beside you. “Or maybe he’s the Jack and is just trying to get rid of you. Who knows.”
You hum, tilting your head playfully. Of course you don’t believe him — strangely, you hadn’t doubted Banda since you got here. “What a waste. After we stayed allies for so long, he’d choose to get rid of me now?”
Matsushita’s eyes widen briefly at the new information before he snickers. “What a waste, indeed. Guess he doesn't cherish your friendship after all.”
Walking away from the liar, you find yourself alone in the cafeteria. Well, you thought you were alone — Chishiya announced himself by reaching beside you for a pack of crackers. “Running around without your guard dog now, hm?”
“You can't talk,” you respond. “All alone, lingering around here like a ghost. Spooky.”
Your back is to the shelf of food as Chishiya begins to crowd your space. He hums while pouting his bottom lip, looking everywhere but you. “How’d you end up with Banda anyways? You were on your way to meet me.”
“We made a deal,” you shrug. By the tilt of your voice and raise of your eyebrows, Chishiya knows you’re lying. He stands quietly, taking one step closer to you. “Okay, fine. I threatened him and demanded we team up.”
“Of course you threatened a murderer.” Chishiya lets out a laugh just as the five minute warning echoes around the prison. He tugs on the cardigan you’re wearing, eyes softening at the sight of the worn fabric. “Think this is mine.”
“It might be,” you push off of the shelf and side-step the blond. You catch a glimpse of Chishiya’s symbol and are opening your mouth before you can think. “It’s diamond, by the way. Your suit.”
“Yours is club.” You nod in confirmation and it piques Chishiya’s interest. “Someone tell you different?”
“Matsushita tried to say Banda was lying to me. But, Banda knows better,” you glare. “I’ll break his kneecaps if he tries to kill me.”
Chishiya’s quiet laugh seems to echo in the desolate cell. It’s all you can think about — all you can remember as your fingers dance along the knit cardigan you’re wearing. After this — if you survive this game — you want to go home. You want to go back with Chishiya and watch that movie you were supposed to meet at.
It’s no surprise to see Matsushita being cornered by the three others. He did freak you out  — and he tried to get you killed. You eye his frightened expression lifelessly before speaking. “Can we take those snacks downstairs with us? I ran out of food a few days ago.”
— BONUS —
You’re sitting beside Chishiya’s hospital bed as the news begins. Absent-mindedly, you hand him a slice of the fruit you were eating as the news reporter begins to speak. A picture of a convict pops up along with the news story. “...Banda is still missing. We are asking everyone to be cautious and be safe. We’ll have the week’s weather up next.”
“You know…” you narrow your eyes at the picture of the man. Something about him looks familiar — it sends a tingle of awareness through your mind the longer you stare. “I think I could take that guy in a fight.”
Chishiya turns his head to you stiffly, furrowing his eyebrows. “He’s a serial killer, [name].”
You shrug, “I could do it.”

Summary: A doctor is a lifeline. In the Jack of Hearts game, Chishiya strives to be yours.
yeah, i took the physician reveal and ran with it. i tried to get into his head to portray him as well as i could in writing this and accidentally fell head over heels. let me know if i did him justice? warnings: large helpings of anxiety, chishiya-esque emotional manipulation, though affectionate. mentions of sex, fwb setup, my attempt at sounding medically educated. word count: 2741 requested by: anon (thank you so much for this brilliant idea, i loved getting stuck into it. i don’t write smut, but i hope this still gets you a little riled.) written by: archie support me on ko-fi

It’s human nature to fuck up. He should’ve known to expect it from you.
It was beginning to wear him down, your constant knee bouncing and nail biting since the third hour of this game. All he needed to do was watch. He was wildly curious to see how this would all play out, and he knew he was safe. Knew you were safe.
All things considered, it was a low-risk game: only trust was required, and he’d scored that easily by taking you under his wing. However, The idea of the Jack of Hearts was a poison injected into the bloodstream of the prison’s population. The symptoms of distrust and paranoia would migrate through the ranks, and the masses would spiral and die.
It was a simple game. The key was to not let your protector get infected.
But the symptoms were visibly taking a hold of you. The cafeteria table shook with your anxious tics, the water in your bottle sloshing enough to disrupt his attention on the surrounding cafeteria. He wouldn’t complain though. You weren’t annoying, no, but you could soon put him on edge if he let you spiral like this, and then he’d be infected too.
“Chishiya,” you called softly, clearly nervous to disrupt his spectating.
He didn’t tear his eyes from the scheming girl in the dress. She was particularly interesting in this setting; and by his deductions, not likely to be the Jack. “Hm?”
Your voice came meeker than normal. “What’s my suit again?”
He turned slowly, a brow quirked over a relaxed eye as he finally gave you his attention. “You forgot?”
“No. Just tell me.”
He sighed silently through his nose, calculating your thoughts. To ask this after he’d told you twice already, you must’ve been anxious about one of two things. One, that your addled mind would fool you into speaking the wrong suit. Or two, that you couldn’t trust him.
“Heart,” was all he said.
And you nodded. Your eyes hardened, clearly visualising the shape before your eyes. ‘Heart,’ he could practically see your mind reciting. ‘Heart.’
Or… Was that a calculating look? He flexed his jaw. Were you possibly tallying up the likelihood that he’d lied to you?
He focused on the accidental downturn of his lips. He shouldn’t be double reading you like that - his own intuition was the only concrete thing he had. He’d never been wrong before. He’d kept the both of you alive for this long based on his skill alone, and he’d not let your lives slip away in a measly Jack’s game.
With a slow blink, he made the conscious choice not to chip away at his own trust in himself, as was undeniably the Jack’s aim in this game.
Chishiya’s gaze lowered to where your fingertips danced on the tabletop. A heart shape. Over and over. Frantic, disturbed. You were slipping.
Against his better judgement, he reached out a hand to clasp over your fingers, quietly amused when those sweet, round eyes fixed on his face. You were so scared, so anxious, and the part inside of him that felt for you lit a soft smile on his lips.
You’d never been good at heart games with that anxious disposition, but that was why he’d kept you by his side. You were an easy window into the minds of his surroundings with how easily he could read you. Your distress on the outside showed blatantly the fear of the people in this game. Everyone under the roof would be feeling it. Even the Jack… Especially the Jack.
Chishiya had found you early on in the games-- only the two of you had survived the Six of Hearts. You were entirely integral to his methods of survival that day, so he stole you away to the Beach and was sure to never let you have a game without him. Losing you as the key to his readings would surely damn him someday. Yet somewhere along the line, he grew… fond.
It must’ve been your consistent proximity, he’d reasoned at first. How your constant being around became a sense of ‘normal’ for both he and Kuina, how your raw, unapologetic humanity was a refreshing shift in his life, how you were a brilliant vessel in the games.
He’d protect you, and you’d provide him the opposite perspective as the control in his readings where everyone else was the variable. The perfect symbiotic relationship in this land.
And perhaps that may have been the case. Perhaps that was the foundation for which he felt appreciative of you, the foundation for a so-called friendship. But it didn’t explain how you’d developed into more for him.
His hold on your fingers tightened, gaze fixed on them as he recalled how they’d thread through his hair, night after night. How they’d unzip his hoodie at the Beach. How they’d scramble to tug the sheets over your naked body when a militant barged through the unlockable door to call him into an executive meeting. He couldn’t help the huff of amusement at the thought. Your eyes were as sweet and panicked then as they were now.
But it wasn’t the same. There, you had the safety of the blankets in his room. A sanctuary. Here, you must’ve felt so exposed to the Jack’s poison. Knee bouncing beneath the table and water bottle gripped tight in one hand, what he could swear was a thin sheen of sweat over your skin. You were really losing your nerve, and he needed to be your antidote.
“Follow me,” he murmured, his interest in the room’s population dissipated. With a gentle nod in a moment of reassurance, he let go of your fingers to let you take up your bottle of water and led you from the cafeteria.
His hands burrowed into his pockets as he walked. He took his slow time, sure to register his surroundings in his peripherals even as he gazed straight ahead, effortless as ever.
Your distinct footsteps followed close behind, audibly unsure and glancing around to the others as you tagged along. He knew you had no clue yet. You were playing it blind and suffering for it.
He took you aside into one of the prison’s meeting rooms where once upon a time, a board of directors would’ve gathered. They’d have administered handfuls of men’s fates, and they’d have considered them less than rats. Now this was where Chishiya would administer your own fate, purely because he held you dear.
He opened a palm to gesture to the end of the table. “Take a seat,” he spoke, ever relaxed, and watched you hop up onto the end of the table. It was rickety, chairs kicked and strewn about, the room only lit by the game-master’s searchlights that shone into the windows.
You looked far from comfortable perched up there, the glare lighting half of your face, and he found himself silent. He just looked at you for a moment. How beautiful you were.
He’d noticed many times, of course. The flutter of your lashes as you looked over his features in a fruitless attempt to read his face. Your parted lips channelling the oxygen that fuelled your body, though your lungs delivered it all shaky and uneven. You were stunning to him, even in the worst of times. Even when you were drenched in the crimson of lives you outlived.
But… There was something in this moment. Something about how right now, he was your lifeline. He held that beautiful existence in his hands and this time, he had the power to choose his method of helping. No supervisors to end your life with a swift letter, no list of priority to bump you down. Or at least, you were the priority.
“What is it?” You jerked him from his thoughts, your ankle bouncing once more where it swung below the table. “Chishiya?”
He gifted you a smile, but it didn’t soothe you.
Your eyes narrowed instead. “What are you hiding from me?”
A soft hum of laughter as he took slow, deliberate steps closer until he stood directly before you. A pinkness on your neck caught his eye and his head tipped in curiosity. He reached to slip a finger into your collar, lips pursed in question as he felt the irritated heat of your skin underneath. “Mm? Do you have a latex allergy?”
“Lat-? No.”
He pulled gently on the band at your neck, stepping even closer to peer at the line of irritation from the garment. It wasn’t until he finally removed his hold that he noted the moisture on his finger-- your sweat. The salt must have caught in the material and rubbed you raw, leading to irritation and the slightest blood spots beneath your skin.
“You’ve been pulling at the collar.”
“It’s tighter than when we started.”
Chishiya knew that wasn’t true. His was perfectly fine - comfortable, even - but he didn’t give a thought to argue. Your stress was having physical implications, making everything even worse for you. Anxiety really is a bitch, he mused.
“Water.” He held a hand out to the bottle and you placed it in his palm. His eyes fixed on yours as he opened it up-- and only at this point did he realise quite how close he was.
Your knees put a comfortable, familiar pressure on either side of his hips, his face uncommonly close to yours without the presence of a bed, but he had no intention of moving. He just took the space and owned it, relishing in the slightest hue of red that dusted your cheek, sure to notice it deepen as he raised your chin between his finger and thumb, guiding you to lift your face.
“This will be cold,” was all the warning he gave before trickling the water down your neck.
You hissed and jerked back, likely from the cold or the sting of the freshwater on your salted wounds. “Shit, Chishiya.”
He simply chuckled inwardly, lips hitched in a humoured smirk as he rinsed your skin. He let the little stream of water run across your throat, taking his time to work towards your other ear. His touch on your chin remained delicate as a doctor’s touch, directing you to look the other way for his ease.
This intimacy, he pondered. So rare in the home world. It was one thing to be a physician in a hospital, and another to use basic, opportunistic materials to heal someone who depended on him so wholly. A patient may fight to survive on their own accord, but here, in this game, with you… Everything rode on his word, on his actions. Everything.
A strange magnetism in his chest drew him ever closer to your skin, until his lips soon met the human warmth beneath your ear. It was a slow kiss, tender and deliberate, and he relished in how your body naturally leant into his.
His closed eyes let him hone on the quickened beat of your pulse, the ghost of a thrum against his lips. Your blood pumped the cortisol of your anxiety through the roof, and he remembered his mission to bring it back down, to calm you. He clung to this as a reason to retract from you. If this reaction was from his unsolicited affection, he should know better than to drive your adrenaline too high.
“Don’t touch it anymore,” he prescribed, voice level and cool, giving no hint as to how hard it was to lean back from you. “The irritation will lessen and you can focus more.”
“I don’t know what the hell I’m focusing on,” you spat in a whisper, uncommonly callous with your words despite the pink to your cheeks as you watched him close the bottle cap once more. He’d seen you panic before in many a heart’s game, but not like this, not after his sparing affection. This game really was frying your nerves.
“Focus on keeping your head,” he murmured, the slightest snort slipping out after. “In every sense of the word.”
“Shut the fuck up, Chishiya.”
It was endlessly amusing to see you like this. The fire that came from your lips right now had never been rivalled before, and any regret he’d had at choosing a Heart’s game for you quickly dissipated. Fascinating to see you lose your mind.
But, he couldn’t toy with you too far. He allowed you to hear his chuckle, low and rumbling in his chest, only audible with the proximity he kept. “Sincerely. Focus on staying calm. All you need to do is trust me.”
“Not so easy in a place like this.”
He took the chance to look surprised. This was his opening to seal any of his own concerns about you. “You think I’d feed you the wrong suit?”
He paid careful attention to how you hesitated, watching the thoughts dance their patterns behind your eyes. You were looking at him without seeing him, close enough that he could see his reflection in your irises. Calculations, calculations, ones that you so visibly struggled to work out. Would he dare tell you the wrong suit? Would it be out of choice or pre-emptive, lest you try to end him first, purely because you’d worried?
Moments passed, and the longer it went on, the more his worries tugged at his thoughts. He needed to prove himself to you to save his own skin. Both of your skins.
His hands settled lightly on your lower thighs, set snug on either side of his hips, and he gave a reassuring squeeze. “You don’t need to worry,” he murmured, voice low and soothing as butter on a wound, “We’ll survive this together.”
That endearing little tug between your brows encouraged him on, and he couldn’t help but take your chin in his hold again. To hold that sweet face, so trusting, so impressionable. He watched the hope shine in your features before turning your face the slightest degree, exposing your ear once more, to which he leant in. His breath just tickled your lobe as his nose nudged on your shell, words slow and deliberate. “I know who the Jack is.”
The change in your body language was instant. You jumped back to peer at his face, brows high and eyes wide, no longer slouched and dejected. Your hand gripped at his white jacket, fisted into the fabric to keep him close as you murmured, “Really?”
A slow nod. Relaxed eyes and knowing smirk shone in the searchlight, and he planned his next words carefully. He didn’t want you to know who his suspects were, in case you gave anything away and steered the game from its natural course. “I have two suspects, it’s just down to seeing which fails first.”
The elation in his chest at seeing your relief was disorienting. The way you sighed out with almost a laugh, head thrown back to let it escape you… It was an image he wouldn’t forget for a long time. The serenity of his antidote, saving you from the Jack’s poison.
His brows shot up as you snatched his shoulders into a tight, relieved hold, thighs tight on his waist and arms looped around his neck. Your face pressed into the junction of his shoulder, nestled against his hair. “Thank fuck,” you breathed, edging on tears. “You worked it out? I should’ve known. I should’ve!”
He didn’t say anything, only astounded that you might be so liberal in your affections outside his hotel room. But then, he did bridge that gap first. And there were no regrets. He allowed himself to indulge in it, his own arms finding their home around your waist and his nose in your hair. Of course it was a trick of psychological conditioning, but if he focused just right, he could almost smell the residue of chlorine from the days at the Beach.
He indulged in splaying a hand across your back, rubbing soothing circles over your form. This body… He knew the ins and outs of it. He knew where every mole dotted your skin, he could estimate the length of your lower ribs without flaw. His thumb pressed slow pulses in the flesh between the back of your ribs, imagining that he’d place his stethoscope there.
What a sound he’d hear. Each breath, the source of your survival.
Would it be too arrogant to consider himself such a thing too?

everything was chaotic, and luckily, the three of you found an, kuina, aguni and also heiya. there were only two games left. two more games. you'll surely get back to the real world.
“ oh i almost forgot, my good luck charm! ” kuina said, getting something from her pocket.
it was a bomb that chishiya made. you remember him giving you one too.
chishiya.
and arisu came up with a plan, luring the king of spade and using it at a close range. and you liked the idea.
and with usagi, kuina, an, heiya, and aguni they'll be the bait.
“ i'm going…too. ” you said, frowning. usagi smiled.
“ we'll do this together! ” she says, with a confident smile.
Tumblr media
you didn't know if arisu's plan succeeded, but you heard an explosion somewhere, so the plan went good, probably.
you couldn't focus, all you can feel was the overflowing pain, in your lower abdomen. yeah. the king of spades stabbed you.
and you couldn't move, the pain hurted like a bitch. you just wanted to end this. after all, it was just one game? is it?
many hours passed, it was getting dark, you were thinking about chishiya. is he alright? oh god. you hope that he makes it out alive.
and oh, you remember that time.
“ what if we get seperated by the time this game almost ends? ” you asked him.
he chuckled, “ i'm sure, we can recognize each other anywhere. ”
you giggled, “ we're one souls, in two bodies. are we? ”
he patted your head, “ yeah. we are. ”
a small memory popping up after the wind. a deep echo in your ear.
your warm tears starts falling on your cold cheeks, not even realizing.
like a shining star in a pitch darkness, we can recognize each other anywhere.
that radiant moment will bloom forever, like a PANORAMA.
“ chishiya. . . ” you stop.
the green hill, the campfire at night before participating in games, you miss those time with him.
so precious, and you'll cherish them all.
“ we're meant to be one, like the first moment we met, my heart beats fast. ”
you'll make a way out of here in borderlands with him. you're sure of it.
“ chishiya, i'll remember this forever, i promise. ”
don't let me down.

Previously on See you on the other side:
Lost and afraid you almost called out in a state of panic when a voice, cool and collected, reached out to you. Silencing the unnecessary noise within. “You’re finally awake.”
You followed the sound of the voice and were greeted by a vaguely familiar pair of brown eyes and a Cheshire Cat smile. You furrowed your brows as your brain overworked itself for answers as to why this fake blonde felt so important to you. Did you use to date? No, this was probably what people meant by experiencing de ja vu.
You felt as though you know someone but the details as to how or why were blurred beyond belief, making it impossible to find the solution you needed to ease the unrest within yourself of not being able to solve what would be considered a simplistic question. Normally you would’ve said that you’ve never met this man in your life but for some reason deep down you’d know that would be lying; you did know this man but it seemed as though your mind had been wiped of the answer as to why.
“I’m sorry, this might seem like a stupid question but have we-“
“Met before? No.” He says. “However it seems that we are very much experiencing similar issues. We feel as though we met and yet try as hard as we can, we can’t find a good enough explanation as to why we feel that way.” The fake blonde adds but ultimately shrugs his shoulder nonchalantly. “I’m sure all will be resolved in due time once that fog clouding the restricted areas of our mind is finally lifted.”
He looked over to you in your bed and you could’ve sworn that he was trying to take in every detail of your face but tried to do so with discreet but somehow you could see through it. See through him as though it was second nature. “So I wouldn’t worry to much as for right now since you, myself and countless other survivors are in much fragile conditions.”
“You know, despite taking for god knows how long I still don’t have your name.” You then decided that now would be an overtime moment to change subjects as to not continuously mind fuck yourself into a headache. Certain parts of your body ached like shit, even with you being hopped up on medicated drugs and you didn’t feel like wanting to add headache onto that list. So it would be best to follow the fake blondes advice and give it a rest.
“Chishiya.” The male answered swiftly. Damn even he name felt familiar, almost as though you and countless others have said it over a million times but again…you didn’t know where and you didn’t know how.
you responded with yours in turn and Chishiya hummed as though with familiarity.
You didn’t know how long this feeling would last but you sure hoped it wasn’t for very long as you were dying to know the potential relationship you had with Chishiya.
Unknown to you but Chishiya was also curious about the context of his relationship with you. He wasn’t using to feeling much at all but for some strange phenomena, your supposed first meeting made him felt more then he had felt in a long while and needless to say, his interest was peaked; Chishiya could only wonder if you could hold it long enough before he grew bored.

Horrifying screams echoed trough the once empty and peaceful city of Tokyo. There was no voice announcing a new game, so the sudden shooting quickly caused a massive chaos. Everyone ran in different directions, panic taking over the residents.
Chishiya seemed unbothered as he roamed around the street as if nothing was going on. You groaned at his behaviour and after successfully dodging a few bullets, you wrapped your hand around the man’s arm and quickly dragged him behind a car, joining the rest of the group.
He raised one of his eyebrows when he noticed your hand still holding onto him. You scoffed at his smirk and quickly pushed his arm away, making him smile in the back of his mind.
“We’re pinned down here!” Kuina exclaimed.
“If we step out, he’ll get us!” Usagi answered when suddenly a green car stopped in front of you.
Before you could say anything, Tatta screamed to quickly get in the car in order to run away from the King of Spades who turned out to be the source of the chaos.
You looked at Chishiya and he unconsciously pushed you towards the car, for you get in first. The rest of the group joined you in the backseats but when it was Chishiya’s turn, he noticed a bomb on the ground.
“That’s bad. Get going!” He exclaimed and ran to hide behind a car while Tatta drove away.
“Chishiya!” You and Kuina both screamed, not wanting to leave him behind but at the same time, having no other choice.
In the back of your head, you knew Chishiya would be fine by himself, however the constant thought of something going wrong didn’t let you rest.
After a few games where you brushed against death, you finally met Arisu and Usagi again after losing contact with each other.
“What’s going on!?” You frowned when you saw Niragi, Arisu and Chishiya holding a gun while Usagi looked as much confused as you were.
“Look who we have here, our precious Y/N who always seems to nuzzle in other people businesses’. Let me make a favour for everyone gathered here and get rid of you.” He smirked and your body froze.
Not being able to do anything, you closed your eyes as Niragi fired his gun. You breathed heavily but frowned at the lack of impact. After a few seconds, you opened your eyes and noticed Chishiya in front of you, protecting your form behind his body.
“Chishiya!” You screamed once he collapsed on the floor. “Why the hell would you do that!?” You put pressure on his wound, only now noticing the second wound on his side.
You physically felt your heart shatter at the sight of his blood, slowly dripping down his body. While Arisu was busy listening to Niragi, you softly caressed Chishiya’s hair, something you’ve always wanted to do but never got the courage to.
“I wanted to do something out of my character.” He chuckled, looking up at you. “Besides, if it’s for you I’m dying for, it will be a quite nice death. Oh god, that sounded cheesy.” He cringed at himself, not taking his condition seriously.
“Don’t even dare mentioning you dying, we’ll get out of here soon and you will survive, alright?” You were trying to act though, but the tear rolling down your cheek and your shaky voice showed how you really felt at the moment.
“Of course, and we’ll open that cafeteria you never shut up about.” He laughed and you playfully nudged his arm.
You helped Chishiya lean his back against a random car and put his hand between yours. Although he wasn’t fond of physical touch, he didn’t seem to mind yours.
“We will, I promise.” You gulped, unsure of your action, but decided to slowly lean in and as you saw the corners of his lips tug upwards, you decided to go for it.
As your lips were about to touch his, Arisu exclaimed that the King of Spades was nearby and you had to leave immediately. Chishiya, as much as he wanted you to stay by his side, gently pushed you back and ordered you to run.
“I’m staying here with you, I won’t leave you alone.” You protested, sitting down next to him.
“You promised me to finish the game, come back when everything will be over. As you can see, I’m not going anywhere, I’ll wait for you.” He whispered and sent you a soft smile.
Before you could answer, Usagi grabbed your arm and you went to hide.
After hours of what felt like forever, the laser went through Mira’s head and you looked back at your two teammates, not believing the nightmare was actually over.
“Go Y/N, he’s waiting for you.” Usagi smiled at you, indicating you to join Chishiya.
You thanked them both for everything and left the roof, running down the stairs. You stopped mid-way as the characteristic female voice echoed through Tokyo, asking the remaining players if they wished to stay in this world. Without a second doubt, you declined the offer.
Although the building wasn’t far away from the Main Street, you felt as if you were running in slow motion. You started to get dizzy but you persisted in your moves and felt your heart skip a beat when your eyes finally met Chishiya’s. He sent you a soft smile but before you could reach him, everything turned black.
- - -
Once your eyes opened, you were met with a white ceiling. You raised your hand to put it against your head that was pounding unpleasantly.
“What happened?” You asked the nurse that was checking the monitor next to your hospital bed.
“You were one of the survivors of the meteor that fell on Tokyo. Your heart stopped beating for a whole minute but the paramedics succeeded to get your pulse back. You might experience memory loss which is normal, after a few days you should regain everything!” She smiled before leaving the room to check on other patients.
“A meteor? My heart stopped? For a minute?” You groaned at the massive headache, getting a strange feeling you were gone for much more than a minute.
After a few hours, you were discharged from the hospital and you were finally allowed to go home. It still felt as if you weren’t home for weeks.
You only had your purse on your nightstand, so you left the room after grabbing it. Nothing seemed right when you were walking down the hospital hall, as you somehow felt empty.
Outside the window, you saw all the other survivors who were with their loved ones.
“My bad.” You bowed apologetically when you accidentally bumped into someone.
“No worries.” A strangely familiar raspy voice came in contact with your ears.
You lifted your head and was met face to face with a blonde man in his mid-twenties. He analysed your face thoroughly and frowned after a few seconds. Before you could say anything, he left without a word.
“Why did he look so familiar?” You groaned at the incapacity to find him in your memories.
After two months, you successfully opened your own cafeteria. It was a dream of yours since you were a child but you never got the courage to have one because of your parents who didn’t consider it as a real job. However, after the incident with the meteor you realised how suddenly life can end. You decided to live it to the fullest and do as many things as possible in order to not regret anything.
You didn’t expect many people at the opening day but you were pleasingly surprised when your cafeteria was filled with customers. By the end of the day, you earned more money than you thought.
It was past 8 pm, so you decided to call it a day. As you were washing the dishes, you heard the bell ring, indicating someone entered the cafeteria.
“I’m sorry but we’re closed for toda-" You cut yourself mid-sentence when you turned around and saw the blonde man from the hospital.
“Oh, I’ll come back another day.” He was about to leave but you quickly stopped him.
“Wait, it’s fine! I’ll make an exception.” You smiled and invited him to sit down. “So here we are, meeting again.” You laughed.
“Yeah, I don’t mind it to be honest.” He confessed, looking at you.
After making his order, he asked you to join his table.
“Your heart stopped beating for a minute too, I suppose?” He asked, catching you off guard.
“Oh, when the meteor hit, yeah.” You smiled awkwardly, not being able to maintain eye contact with him. “Although I felt as if I was gone for weeks.” You added, wondering what he would say.
“Me too, I felt like I was in a completely different world, weird right?” He smiled, taking a bite of your cookie.
“I have this feeling as well but then again I can’t remember anything from when I was unconscious. To be honest, I don’t even remember the moment the meteor hit the city. Everything just happened so suddenly.” You sighed, still not quite believing what Tokyo and its citizens went through.
“That makes one thing we have in common. I’m sure there’s more though, so what about getting to know each other more?” He asked, his eyes staring into yours.
“I- I would love that." You chuckled, reaching out your hand to him. “I’m Y/N.”
“I’m Chishiya.” He slightly squeezed your hand, his fingers brushing over your skin reminding you of something you’ve never experienced and yet something that felt so familiar.
What you didn’t know is that Chishiya already knew who you were and remembered exactly what you both went through. The games, the deaths but specifically your smile and the way you made unfamiliar feelings develop in the his chest. He knew you both had your life ahead so without rushing things, he promised himself to make you fall for him all over again. This time, in a world where you’re both safe and sound.

King Of My Heart
Tumblr media
Chishiya Shuntarō x reader
Chishiya knew about your feelings all along
Fluff
“You don’t understand. I was this close to being shot… This close!” I held my pointer finger and thumb as close as they could be.
“I think you forget that I was there. The bullets didn’t even go near you.” Chishiya scoffed as he changed.
I watched him take off the comfortable looking sweater to change into his lucky white jacket. I rummaged through the plastic bag that held the few clothing items I was able to grab without the King of Spades finding us. It was pure Chishiya luck that we were able to hide in this shabby hotel filled six stories high. I took off the ripped tank top and shorts I had on, flinging them to the side of the room. I picked up the pair of black jeans, putting them on before shrugging on a soft white long sleeve. I didn’t mind changing in front of the nonchalant mastermind for the fact that I had chills running down my spine at the slight chance of being found by the shooter.
“I think you need to see a doctor for your eyesight Chishi.” I stated turning around to find him leaning against the doorframe, waiting for me.
He rolled his eyes, “I am a doctor.”
I stepped closer to him, “Then answer me this cat boy, would save me if I was shot?”
He looked me up and down before letting out a quiet hmm, “Maybe.”
I gasped walking past him and grabbing his hand, “Let’s go before I actually come across the possibility of putting my life in your hands.”
“I prefer my hands in my pockets.” Chishiya grumbled though he made no attempt to untangle his hand from mine.
It was my turn to roll my eyes, “I know that. I saw you with your hands in your pockets barely running while we were being hunted. Where are we going anyways?”
“There was a game not to far from here. Head left once we make it out of the hotel.” He said.
I sighed as we made it to the gates of a prison, “I swear I saw my life flash before my eyes…”
“Are you still on about that?” Chishiya tsked, “The grenade would of had a better chance at killing you. I mean you kicked it like a football and you’re worried about tiny bullets?”
“There’s a three second rule for grenades not bullets.” I shrugged as I looked up at towards the sky.
The Jack Of Hearts blimp floated above us and an uneasy feeling rested in the pit of my stomach.
“Are you sure about this?” I asked, my voice softer as I looked to him, “Maybe we should do a clubs game instead…”
“I’m sure.” He nodded, “We need to play a game before our days run out and between the two of us, hearts will be a walk in the park.”
“Or a walk in a prison.” I motioned to where we were, “Ready to become a convict?”
Chishiya gave me is famous are you kidding me look as he opened the door, “Let’s get a move on then prisoner.” He said, waiting patiently for my next move
“Ever the gentleman I see.” I gave a short bow before walking inside.
“Only for you.” He murmured, following close behind.
The two of us eventually landed at a table with collars spaced evenly on top of it. There seemed to only be a few left, meaning there were already players inside.
“I hate these.” I whispered already feeling my throat close up at the thought of the collar exploding around my neck.
“I know.” Chishiya said as he secured a collar around his neck.
That simple motion left zero chances of me walking out of here and he knew that. He knew I’d never leave him. My heart would allow it and so I grabbed the collar, looking at it.
“Do you think you could…” I gently handed him the collar and turned around so he could secure it around my neck.
He stepped closer to me, gently moving any stray hair out of the way as he put it around my neck.
“I wish it would be something other than this that you put around my neck.” I chuckled.
“Are you suggesting you want me to buy you a diamond necklace?” He said as he clasped the collar into place.
“Diamonds… Candy… Anything would make me happy as long as it was coming from you.” I turned to look at him with a smile.
“Sap.” Was all he said, a blush forming on his cheeks.
“Only for you.” I repeated his words from earlier.
The game was simple. Trust in your partner. Find the Jack of Hearts. Then you win and you can leave. That was all and while it may be the easiest thing in the world for me, it seemed others had a harder time coping with the frazzling distrust slowly seeping it’s way into each player. Except for us of course. We watched patiently as each player began to pair up.
“Hey…” I gave the poor frazzled guy who has been standing next to us this who time, “You can partner with us, we’re not looking to get anyone killed.”
The relief was evident on his face as he nodded eagerly, “Thanks.”
Any attempt of anxiety that even dared to creep into my bones every time I stepped into a cell was washed away the moment I found the cozy blonde waiting for me after each round.
I watched Urumi manipulate her small group with a lollipop and smile on her face. It made me wonder if anyone was actually buying her innocence act.
“Unbelievable…” I breathed out, glancing over to Chishiya to get his opinion only to find him happy watching the scene unfold as he munched on his cookies.
The look on his face made my heart swell as he took such happiness from such a little treat. Adorable… I thought as a blush creeped up my face. I quickly covered up my heart eyes with a cough the second he gave me his full attention.
“Are those the only cookies, you’re going to eat?” I stared at the cookies he keeps getting.
The players were dwindling as the days went on and the only source of entertainment was each other and watching the others slowly lose their minds. Our ally included… His heart was too big for this game.
“They’re the best.” He stated simply.
“Oh I beg to differ.” I held up a box of vanilla flavored panda cookies, “These are the best.”
He barely glanced at my cookies, “You’re just basic.”
I gasped, clutching my box of cookies close to my chest, “How dare you insult my cookies!”
“I didn’t insult your cookies.” The look in his eyes screamed devilish as he took a bite of his biscuit, “I insulted you.”
I let out a cry as I fell back into the bench as if I had been shot in slow motion, “I take it back… Being shot would have hurt way less…” I breathed out before pretending to die.
It wasn’t even a minute before I felt one of his biscuits hit my face. I blinked my eyes open as I gave him a mock glare, “Did you just hit me with your biscuit?”
“Had to make sure you weren’t dead.” He shrugged.
“If I didn’t lo-” I was silently grateful for the interruption to my almost confession. I looked over to one of the only people who deserved to be behind these walls.
“How long have you two liked each other?” Banda asked, taking a seat on the other side of the table.
“Oh um…” I stuttered as the blush on my cheeks suddenly returned with a vengeance, “We’re not…”
“Two months ago, she told me to shut up.” Chishiya answered nonchalantly.
I looked at him in shock, my cheeks the color of strawberries because he was right… That was the moment I fell for him.
“You knew that I…?” I asked bewildered.
“Pretty easy.” He shrugged.
I punched him in the arm, “And you didn’t think to mention anything?!”
“Figured you found out my feelings as well.” He answered.
“You just smirked at me and walked away!” I waved my hands around, “How was I supposed to catch on to that?!”
“You tell me. We haven’t been apart since.” He stated and I couldn’t come up with a good comeback.
The speaker letting us know it was time to head to our cells.
I sighed getting up, clutching my box of cookies in my hand. Following the blonde towards the cells.
“Interesting…” Banda murmured, deducing that neither of us were the Jack of Hearts. This meant that his earlier deduction was current.
“What was my suit again?” I mumbled, not being able to look him in the eyes.
“Heart.” Chishiya assured me for the second time.
I looked at his collar once again to be certain, “Yours is a Diamond.” I repeated.
He nodded, “See you in a minute.”
He brushed his hand against mine before entering his cell. I entered the once next to him repeating suit he told me.
“Heart.”
I can’t believe that sly cat… The embarrassment of the sudden confession slowly began to wash away as a smile formed on my face. He liked me too.
Now all we had to do was survive this place together.
