Can’t believe I got Mark Dacascos to make a heart with me, he is an absolute legend. His vibes were off the charts, a beautiful gem of a human being. We both fawned over the John Wick movies and he loved my High Table shirt I was rocking! He told me “You better not be sliding a coin across the table, I’m on a break right now!” when I got my autograph from him. Unreal! So grateful for this experience!!!!

Honestly, Stephen Graham Jones' writing is just generally fantastic. I'm rereading My Heart Is A Chainsaw because it's good, and all of the levels just the cold open alone is operating on...how every seemingly throwaway line of dialogue actually has at least two meanings, how every sentence, every word, is as carefully and deliberately chosen and placed as the tiles in a mosaic...and the fact that while it's doing its metaphorical, literary heavy lifting, and foreshadowing every major plot point in the book, it also manages to conjure up an effective horror-movie atmosphere and deliver multiple fakeout jumpscares before abruptly and viscerally hitting you with the real thing...fuckin' masterful, man.

Had one of the the best photo op experiences ever with Jeremy Sumpter yesterday at Chiller Theatre. We went all out with the Frailty experience. He put the duct tape on my mouth (and ripped it off after the shoot - crazy I know what that experience feels like now!!!); put his hand on my head and pronounced that I had a demon in me; and proceeded to ‘go after me’ with the axe. We were laughing and shared a huge hug afterwards. The vibes were great with him for both times I was with him. Love going to smaller conventions more than big ones sometimes because you get to have experiences like this.
Here’s a bonus picture of us earlier in the day when I got his autograph:

‘69 Original CHILLER THEATRE Opening Recreation
I watched this show when I lived in Milton, NY, back in 1969. The opening always scared the shit out of me! I was 7.
