this might sound mean but honestly if you have to front Every Fucking Thing you make with "oh ANOTHER fic of a common trope in this fandom" or "this is an "original" character playlist" or "this is bad please be nice" then like. i immediately loose all interest bc if YOU hate your own creation why would i like it? you have GOT to stop lampshading your own creativity. this isn't a marvel movie not only Can you be vulnerable but you Have To. you Have To

#sorry i just. those first two examples are real things i've actually seen #a real person sat down and titled their fic 'yet another chatfic (because this fandom needs more) #' and yeah it was a fandom saturated with chatfics but telling me in the title that youes is boring and uninteresting? im never reading #that sorry #like... if u hate ur fic and u think its boring and the same as every other fic go back to the drafts and change that #add in themed gcs or a dnd segment or kill someone or bring someone back from the dead! #chatfics are so much more than incorrect quotes and you can do some really cool things with them! #i think there's a tendency i see sometimes to hide genuine expressions of love behind an ironic front and tbqh i have no space for that in #fandom. like were in fandom!! be cringe have fun!!! #my thots #haterism
