who: atta & @bigdaddieg where: rose's books
There was a cruel kind of irony about having to continue to work and live just a few blocks away from someone's ex, and, unluckily for Atta, she felt the extreme of both. On top of it all, Gaston was not the kind of person to be particularly quiet about his presence, so when she heard his laugh come through the doors of the book store she'd been browsing, all she could do was ache to hide behind the stacks and be unseen. She'd been standing dead in the middle of the new arrivals, book in hand, when she'd locked eyes with him. Instead of a book, though, Gaston came sauntering into the place with a bouquet of flowers, and all Atta could do was wonder for who, and if they had been desired by whoever they were meant for. And although every interaction with her only ex-boyfriend was an unpleasant one, she figured the pain of having to speak to him was worth watching whatever was about to unfold.
Before he could give away the flowers, though, he pivoted, taking a turn straight for Atta herself. "I didn't think you liked reading," she said plainly, not even bothering to greet him as she set the book in her hand down on the stack before selecting another. If this wedding was going to happen as planned, she figured it was smart to start stocking up on honeymoon reading material. "Or flowers." Atta looked up at him for the first time, narrowing her eyes before turning her back to another table.

who: arthur & @bigdaddieg where: arthur's office
The concept of hunting season was one that Arthur still didn’t particularly like, even a decade after coming into his position at The Order. Most of his job now involved thinking of ways to abolish it, since it had been a longstanding tradition, an agreement that had been made even before he was born. Every year, around this time, he held a meeting to discuss how to move forward with an amended agreement between themselves and the hunters, but there never seemed to be a different outcome. In Arthur’s eyes, there really was no better way to ensure the safety of everyone magical for the rest of the year. Closing the borders was a start, he thought, as at least there couldn’t be any people coming from the outside to come and hunt. Though the tourism that came with it was part of the island’s economy, Arthur had taken an oath to protect the magical beings of Echo Isle, and that was what he had to focus on.
“I know we have this conversation every year,” he started after exchanging niceties with one of the most prominent hunters, who he had invited to his office annually to discuss the rules of the hunting season and try to find a different agreement, a compromise. “With the borders closed, though, I hoped that we might be able to negotiate. I’m willing to pay whatever sum to at least pause for this year, and, in the future, maybe we can come to an agreement that involves can annual payment. I’ll even open the borders for enough time for you and your people to get off the island, so that you might seek … whatever hobby pleasures you elsewhere.” A last ditch effort, and one that would likely be turned down, knowing the man sitting across from him, but it was worth a shot.

Lucifer knew he was always welcomed at Gaston’s Tavern, no matter the circumstances. For a while the two seemed to be at odds but after some space things seemed to have settled down again. He’d just finished his drink and was waiting for the inattentive bartender to give him a refill when Gaston noticed and came to Lucifer. “I’m telling you, that bartender of yours does not care for their job. It’s still early and there’s not many people here yet for the night. Surely they have the time to come and get me another drink.” Shaking his head, he sighed. “Oh well. I suppose I’ll survive.” He scrunched up his nose. “Still, you should talk to them about their lack of attention to your patrons. It’s not a good look on them. Or yourself.” Lucifer offered the man a smile. “I know the truth though. This is a fine establishment you have.”

It wasn’t uncommon for Claudette or one of her sisters to pester Gaston with flirty eyes and a sultry voice. Today was strictly business though. She’d just emerged from the downstairs of the tavern to go and find him when she saw him behind the bar. It wasn’t a busy time of day so not too many people were around which was perfect. She approached him with a sweet smile on her face. “Gaston,” she purred. “I have excellent news for you. And it’s not the fact that I’m here.” She flipped her hair over her shoulder. “Business is thriving. I think you’d love to take a look at the numbers. I think it’s celebratory enough to have a drink together.

If she had to be honest, Angelique wasn’t quite sure what Belle’s issue with Gaston was. He was an extremely handsome, confident man, and probably everything that Angel was looking for after her falling out with James. If there was one thing she was bound to stick to, though, it was her best friend’s word, and if she’d insisted that she wasn’t interested in him, then so be it. Angelique had set her intentions on making sure that Gaston avoided Belle like the plague, and maybe that meant keeping his attention for awhile herself, There was nothing selfish about helping a friend, right? “Are you the Danny I’ve been hearing about all night?” she asked with a grin, surveying his costume. This wasn’t a mistake, no doubt, if he was the man Belle insisted he was. No one came to a party as Danny without a Sandy. “I feel like you’re missing half of your getup. Which Sandy were you looking for to keep you company?” she crooned with a smirk, hoping to drag something out of him.

Lucifer sat at his friend’s tavern as he had a few drinks. It was a relaxing night and no one was really bothering him, but his friend seemed busy. Gaston and Lucifer always got along and he didn’t have a real reason to be at the tavern other than to just relax and throw back some drinks. Hell, maybe he’d even find someone pretty and interesting enough to get laid. He had been people watching, observing anyone that seemed of interest to him, but grew bored fairly quick. When Gaston seemed to finally not be busy he motioned for him to take a seat with him. Once Gaston was seated next to him he said, ‘your bartender said she would get me a drink over twenty minutes ago. I think she forgot about me. She’s rather pretty too. Shame she’s inattentive.”

my-what-a-guy replied to your post: How you doing today babe?
my-what-a-guy :
Aw. I’m sorry babe.
Unless you had anything to do with it, and out of good faith I'll believe you didn't, you have no reason to be sorry, Gaston. As difficult as it is for me to say, you've been somewhat... comforting.
