Every time I watch Chaiyya Chaiyya I'm at a loss for words about how good it and Dil Se are. Like literal perfection. Especially the songs, they've carved out their own space amongst my little grey cells. And every time I see this emergence out of the tunnel a little part at the back of my brain gets tickled and I just realized how much this looks like the train robbery scene from The Assassination Of Jesse James.

I bet Deakins would answer if he got asked on his forum but I wanna believe so bad Dil Se inspired this shot.
Also the fact that Farah Khan choreographed Chaiyya Chaiyya? Maam can you stop trying to do mid hiest movies and go back to doing whatever masala madness Main Hoon Na and Om Shanti Om were with SRK?

How rhythm, or the repetitiveness of beats, acts as a unifying force in life, inspiring movement and action
It was a child’s birthday celebration. I’d accompanied my young daughters to the party and was looking forward to catching up with my friends. The birthday boy’s mom put on a DVD to keep the little ones occupied and allow the grown-ups to catch up with one another. A snapshot from the song ‘Chaiyya Chaiyya’ in the movie ‘Dil Se’ (1998). The plan worked till the sound of Shah Rukh Khan…
