I have a fun head canon that Toon Bobby can be quite violent if you harm her loved ones.
More rambling under the cut!
I think I mentioned once before that the toons all have their fake background stories to keep them from questioning their sudden existence.
Bobby, she takes after her two fathers - their strength, witt, and the love to perform.
She also has their temper, though she's able to hide it well with her desire to love everyone.
All in all? I think it'd be a fun little twist to have her be the most vengeful toon~
Poor CatNap is in for quite the reunion...

How come there isn't any playlists for some classic Frexy? Sure, there's like 2 Funtime Frexy playlists on Spotify, but that's it.
What an absolute crime.

Alright!
Context, I had intended this to be multiple chapters - or to go on longer. Not exactly much shipping but hey!
Hope you get a kick out of it nonetheless, as they are meant to be the end goal.
Copying and pasting from my phone, so the fic is under the cut!
The island representative was always an odd on to Tom Nook. Their appearance had wildly changed throughout their time on the small island of Dragon Bay, their behavior almost aggressive yet highly supportive of any and all residents that lived within their little island.
Their choices... Well, Tom found them to be questionable yet he was certain that even the most bizarre request came with good intentions. That's what he'd like to believe, but this time it just left a sinking feeling of dread as he looked over the document left for him on his desk. The document itself was nothing new, a simple request of residency with a short letter of recommendation from the island representative. Usually, these were easy to sort out and arrange a new home for their latest villager. This time, the name that was written on the paper stared at him, almost mocking his very being.
A Residency Request for Redd.
Tom quickly glanced at the signatures, in a fleeing hope that this was merely a joke done in poor taste. Yet he recognized each one perfectly well. The messy handwriting of the island representative, and the stylized writing of the kitsune. From what he could see, everything was in order and the document looked professional. The letter of recommendation was practically glowing, listing many points as to why the island representative thought he would be a good fit for Dragon Bay.
"I should talk to them first thing tomorrow..." His gaze drifted to the clock hanging on the wall. Four AM.
Surely, they must have been deceived by the kitsune. There is no way anyone who knew of Redd would ever invite him near their wallets, let alone their home. Tom knew all too well what happened if you let him too close.
But it was late, and he hadn't slept yet. Thankfully Isabelle was caring for the twins while he pulled another late night...
"Yes, yes. It'll be the first thing I do."
With that, he took another swig of his coffee and packed up his things for tonight. Tomorrow morning, he would have to sort this out. He would convince the island representative to reconsider.
He took one last look over the request, unable to stop his worrying. It was bad enough that the representative submitted the request, but the most concerning part was Redd even signing the forms. Had he simply been offered and took the opportunity to sell more fraud works? Or even worse, he was the one to suggest it. What could that tricky kitsune even want on their peaceful island? Those thoughts continued to nag him as he locked up the Residence Service building for the night.
From here, he could easily see the Nook's Cranny right across the path. It was a simple building, but one he was most proud of. It was a modest shop downstairs, with a small sales floor for his dear nephews Timmy and Tommy to take charge of. Upstairs held extra stock and a little clubhouse for the twins, while the back of the shop contained their small home.
As usual, Tim took the back entrance to their home and was greeted to the sight of Isabelle fast asleep on their sofa. A book in her paws with Timmy and Tommy on either side of her, quietly snoring. A warm smile spread across Tom's face as affection swelled in his chest. He may have been stressed, but the sight of his dear twins never failed to comfort him.
He walked over, easily picking them up - one tiny tanuki in each arm. He carefully brought the two to their room, gently tucking them in before making his way back to Isabelle.
{Insert later: Nook wakes up Isabelle and tells her about his plan. He then heads to bed. Stress dreams}
When morning came around, Tom found himself slowly waking up as he felt the warm sunlight across his body. There was soft chatter of other residents outside, a pleasant rustling of tree leaves and -
His tired eyes shot open, his body immediately sitting up. There was no way the island should be this lively early in the morning, or the sun's light to hit his bed at this hour, unless...
11 AM. He overslept. When was the last time he ever woke up so late? He couldn't recall, aside from the days of his reckless youth. Another question entered his mind as well. Why did the twins let him sleep for so long? Yes, Isabelle was kind enough to help the two get ready for their jobs, but surely they would have woken him!
He got dressed and ready as quickly as he could, not wanting to waste another moment. There was so much to do, too much to worry over. He needed to find a way to convince the island representative. He needed to shred that cursed document. Hell, he needed to keep Redd away from his island.
As much as he wanted to say hello to Timmy and Tommy first, he knew he had to hold off on that for the moment. He could apologize later on today, when he was finished with all of this. He tried to hold on to his determination, not wanting his worries to drown him once more.
Just as Tom was about to reach the door of Residence Services, his tired eyes spot the island representative. His paw slipped from the doorknob and immediately he made his way towards them instead. A part of him felt embarrassed to try and meet them so informally, however, this was an emergency after all.
His legs could only carry him so quickly, so he was left to a brisk walk as he watched the human in front of him rush along the terracotta paths. At least they were easy to spot, with their wild outfit and a black kitsune mask covering their face. Or at least, they should have been easy to keep track of.
As Tom followed them up the stairs along the north path, they simply ran through the trees and vanished off the trail. Perhaps they were going to thin out the cluttered trees today? Tom could briefly recall Isabelle mentioning that...
However, he could immediately see the results of the island representative's last project. A staircase down to the tiny beach that was tucked away in this northern section of the island. From here, Tom could easily see that wreck of a boat. The cliffs here could almost hide it, but the dark smoke floating up into the air was a dead giveaway of the kitsune's presence.
Normally, Tom liked to think of himself as a reasonable man. One to see both sides of an argument, to give a poor soul a chance. Had it been anyone else, anyone at all, perhaps Tom would have discussed this all over a call. However, Redd wasn't just anyone.
Before he even realized it, Tom found his way walking towards the boat. Up the ramp, past the curtain, and making his way down the dimly lit stairs. There was much to take in. The whirring sounds of a strained engine, the faint smell of smoke from the boat itself, and the suffocating sensation of the kitsune's magic. Though Tom was sensitive to such things, it still shocked him how residents couldn't feel the same type of aura radiating off of Redd. Then again, many seemed to turn a blind eye to his own presence as a tanuki.
"Here to sign the paperwork, Nook?"
He wasn't even fully off the stairs and he could already feel his annoyance growing. As he rounded the corner, there he could see Redd.
The kitsune had a smug look across his face - not an unusual sight for him. His blue apron looked rather clean, unlike the usual wrinkled or paint stained one the Tom could recall. Redd's tail swayed happily, the four spilt tail tips twitching sperate from each other.
"What are you doing here, Redd?" That was a safe question to open with. Something to stop himself from throwing accusations, or flooding the fox with a neverending stream of questions.
"Aw, come on. Isn't that obvious?" Redd gave such a wide grin, wasting no time to get in Tom's personal space. "I've been to this island a few times now, and I've gotta say... I like what I see."
The dim lights seemed to a reoccurring trend below deck. The lights had a faint tint, which made it that much harder to get a good look at the many pieces of "art" the kitsune had to sell. All fakes.
"You seem to be doing just fine scamming my residences from your boat. Why do you want a house here?"
"Did you even look over the plans my cousin gave you?" A laugh, followed by Redd hooking an arm around Tom's shoulder as he pressed against his side. "I want a store, selling my paintings to the kind folk of Dragon Bay."
"There is no way that I'm going to allow you to bring the black market to my peaceful island."
"Ouch, such a harsh accusation! I'm hurt, Nook." He pulled a paw to his chest, though his smile remained unwaivering.
"This isn't a game, Redd." Tom frowned, his eyes narrowed as he shoved the kitsune away from him. "I want you off my island, and I want you to stay as far away from my residences as you possibly can."
Redd let go of him, a more serious look now on his face as if he actually thought over Tom's words. It only annoyed Tom further, as this look was usually meant the kitsune was hiding something.
"You just don't get it." Redd shook his head, his grin faded from his face. "I'm simply playing for keeps."
What did that even mean?
"Get off my island, Redd."
"Make me."
The dim lights of the poorly made boat continued to flicker, allowing the brief glimpses of darkness to elongate their shadows against the wall. A little glimpse of what they really were.
For a moment, the only sound between them came from the annoying humming of the lights - or the gently sounds of the waves against the ship. He needed to take a deep breath and not fall into another fight.
As he continued to stay silent, Redd's expression faded from a defiant glare to something Tom couldn't quite place. He can't recall the last time he's seen such a face on the kitsune...
(And that's all I have!)

I ran out of time with the second drawing, but I absolutely had to try my hand at @crazycakeparrotart 's DogDay and CatNap! (Their AU is also stunning btw)
I hope you don't mind that I had my toon versions interacting with them >u>;

Thank you to everyone who submitted a suggestion! I actually had more people asking for various fandoms - unfortunately I struggled drawing some of those characters, but I do appreciate everyone's suggestions!
So! Here's Bobby x Hoppy, DogDay x CatNap, DogDay x Craftycorn, and then my choice - DogDay dealing with multiple crushes.

Long Post warning!
So, I was trying to draw a more accurate CatNap and toon DogDay, but the pose... I struggled. Here's the base.
Tumblr media
Naturally, I turned to my pal TF for some assistance.
So. She genuinely offered some ideas at first, as she works on a lot of more feral designs
Tumblr media
But... It quickly devolved into madness.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And so, I said "fuck it. Let's shit post"
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tumblr media
And finally -
Tumblr media
Which TF mistook those blob tears for blush and...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
... So.
Needless to say, this was all gold.

Idk way but seeing catnap chasing dogday is quite funny.
But idk way but I can see player/angle. Just standing there like it a normal day like there not even trap in the factory
I had a lot of fun drawing that little chase, but you are also so right.
In fact, that inspired me to actually write some fanfiction! All below the cut, but sadly no drawings to go along with it (for now).
"Angel!!!" It was a screech, mixed with a pitiful whining and another plee for help.
Only to be promptly followed by heavy footsteps and the sound of furious hissing.
Angel gave a heavy sigh, leaning against one of the upright picnic tables as they simply watched the scene before them.
DogDay, a small cartoon dog with sunny orange fur and a personality to match, was bouncing around. Desperately, he was trying to avoid the large purple paws of the feline chasing him down. Every clawless swipe had missed so far, but the cat's aim was getting better.
"Angel, Please!!!"
Angel sighed again, raising a hand to rub their temples. Two hours. Two hours ago, Angel had first found this little pup handing in a rotting cell. Two hours ago, they freed him and returned his legs. Two hours ago, their life was quiet.
They had begrudgingly allowed DogDay to follow them, concerned the pup would be helpless. They were pleasantly surprised to see he could handle himself, but his looney behavior leaved much to be desired. Simple tasks became jokes, stealth was no longer an option, and Angel was almost positive they could hear a faint laugh track playing every so often.
The worst part?
Ever since they freed the dog, CatNap became unpredictable. Ollie had warned them that this monstrous cat would hide in the shadows and hunt them, but this? This wasn't something any of them had expected.
CatNap gave a rather loud hiss, lunging forward with a powerful pounce. The orange pup was helpless, unable to dart to the side this time, and was tackled to the ground.
The two toppled over, again and again as they came to a stop on the hard paved floor of PlayCare. Once more, CatNap returned to a smaller size like DogDay, though he had him pinned to the ground.
DogDay wheezed, trying to force air back into his lungs. It wasn't easy, as CatNap firmly sat on his chest.
"Apologize." CatNap's voice was distorted, thanks to his voice box being broken long ago. His white eyes narrowed, his tail thrashing.
"You took my legs."
"You lost our game. You knew the risks."
"But you chained me to a wall! And left me there!"
"I came back for you." The cat huffed, his purple ears flat against his head. "It kept you safe from the minis. Or so... I thought it would."
"Angel!" The dog whined, tilting his head up to spot the human a few feet away. Without hesitation, he shot them the most pitiful looking puppy eyes he could manage.
Two hours of this.
Angel would have theorized that CatNap was simply territorial, but frankly? They didn't need to guess. Yes, CatNap wanted to serve the Prototype. Yes, horrible things occurred and he made efforts to stop Angel from cutting off the red gas.
But CatNap made no attempt to hurt them.
He watched them running around, only providing small obstacles to stop them - which only encouraged DogDay's wackier side to show more. Angel was convinced that this cat, though loyal to the prototype, had his heart set towards something more.
"You two are acting like children." They frowned. They shouldn't be scolding their enemy - if they could even call CatNap one. "If you two are going to do this, can you at least play a little quieter?"
"I thought he had died!" CatNap hissed. "You stole him from me! I thought -!"
"...What?" This got DogDay's attention as he snapped his head back to look up at the cat. "Angel freed me, and we were chased around by the minis for a bit. They saved me."
"I... I saw the human." CatNap's frown deepened as he flexed his claws. "I needed to see if they harmed you, so I went to your cage. I found minis, eating and bloodied orange fur scattered around the cell. I found your belts, torn and cut. I thought..."
"Oh, Moonbeam..." DogDay's voice softened, reaching over to the cat to gently pull him in for a hug.
Angel rolled their eyes again.
At least Huggy had been simple. Hungry beast, shove off catwalks. Miss Delight? Hungry creature who went insane? Smash into a wall.
But CatNap? He seemed to love only two things. The prototype, and this odd dog. Even the severed legs hadn't been an issue. They were in the next cell over, casually walking around on their own. DogDay hadn't experienced any pain reattaching them. The belt on his waist and some torn fur were the only signs that he had been ripped in half to begin with.
It didn't make sense to the human, and it certainly wasn't adding up how this cat needed comforting from the same one he had torn and held captive - or even why the dog was providing such tender moments so easily.
CatNap looked furious, still trying to stare daggers at the human. Though... It was impossible to take him seriously as DogDay nuzzled into him. Even more so when a soft purr escaped the cat.
Whatever.
So long as the cat wouldn't try to kill them, and Angel could escape this hellhole, they wouldn't ask any further questions. All they really wanted was to go back home and sleep in their own bed, preferably away from any sort of cartoon.
...Though deep down? Angel had a feeling that dream would be impossible now.

I'm seeing age differences in those relationship charts-
But are those Real age differences, or are they part of their "Character" and not when they were actually made.
I'm assuming the latter because of them "remembering" the cartoon as you've put it- but the idea that they actually had real childhoods (one not just written up on some script) and were kids is both adorable and also very depressing.
Thinking about it, realizing you're an artificial being that was made directly into an teen/adult with only fake memories and stories from a tv show is some prime existential dread. I mean that seem like it could be one of the few things that could truly break the critters- especially for Catnap who seem adamant that there is a world to go back to, only to be faced with "that world- those memories were never real".
That kind of angst seems ripe for picking!
Tumblr media
Alright - Combining these together.
Let's start off with a height chart and ages for the Critters! (Plus Angel), and this would be in feet - and yes these are the heights I am trying to keep consistent.
Tumblr media
Find the original here.
Okay, more under the cut!
So
Let's start with our Anon. You are so right. I really want to make these guys have varied bodies, just like I did whenever I draw the FNAF animatronics. So it makes it tricky for me to keep the cartoon proportions, as I just want to lean into anthro proportions. But I strongly agree with you!
Okay. Moving on.
The ages for the Critters are based off of two things. My preference for having some older style toons - and I imagine these are based on their creation and not their ages on the show. I imagine the show kept them ageless, but around the same year. DogDay is our oldest, because I believe whoever created them in universe first thought of him before the other critters. I think the creator of the show originally meant to just have a small show with just DogDay, Bubba, and Picky - for whatever reasons. (She just gives off older vibes to me). Over time, the others were added in for various reasons. Hoppy is our youngest, as I like to think she was a last minute addition to the team to balance them out.
These ages are just what I have listed, but I think none of the critters really view themselves having the same age. I think if you were to ask any of them, their first answer would be at least twenty five. Five years working in PlayCare, ten after the Hour of Joy, and they would simply shrug off the rest.
Then there's Angel, who started working for the company at the age of twenty three. Stayed for three years, then left.
As for childhoods? They have a false one written into each of their characters. Excuse me while I ramble on about what the backgrounds they were "programmed" with.
DogDay was an only child and rather lonely. He decided to take that loneliness and work that much harder to befriend others and create meaningful relationships. He approached each critter one-on-one, and after that? He'd try to hold on to anyone he clicked with. He has so many false memories of his family and his time with his friends before the show's "start". Though... If he actually thinks about it, he starts to question why he never had any pictures of these memories. However, once brought into the "real" world, he adjusted to this realization.
Bubba was the first to be approached, though he knew DogDay when they were children. They grew up together, and DogDay really helped him get past his awkward phase. He spent so much time trying to focus on learning, fascinated by everything he could read about. DogDay helped him come out of his shell and befriend others. He was the first to realize his memories were fake and adjusted incredibly well. As far as he saw it - yes. They weren't "real" creatures in the show, but existing in PlayCare? They were alive. Did the past really matter when the present was far more important?
Picky grew up with a massive family. She is the eldest of her siblings and had always taken on a caretaker kind of role. She happened to meet DogDay towards the end of their childhood, an was confused when this excited dog insisted on dragging her over to meet a rather shy elephant. She found them both to be weird, but she warmed up to them quickly. She struggled with the realization that her memories were fake. After all, this meant that the family she had, the siblings she loved so deeply and cared for... None of that existed. To cope, she ended up taking care of the kids that much more. She was going to heal her sorrows by making new memories.
CatNap happened to wander in to town on their own, deciding to make a life for themselves - despite their young age. They was probably three days into their solitude when DogDay discovered them in a tree. CatNap was confused and insisted that DogDay leave them be, but the pup wasn't backing down. Eventually, he convinced them to come down and join him and Bubba for a picnic. Though CatNap and Bubba didn't get along at first, CatNap and DogDay were inseparable after that day. They discovered their memories were false due to their recall. They poked their head around the councilor's office and discovered too much, and CatNap just couldn't handle it. They still don't believe all of those memories were fake, and they just want to cling to those nonexistent days.
Bobby moved into town with her family, a middle child with three older siblings and one younger adopted sibling. She happened to run into DogDay during a Valentine's Day celebration. She had taken charge of the decorating, and was impressed that DogDay not only wanted to help, but enlisted his friends to help too! This is how she met Bubba, Picky, Kickin and CatNap in their teen years. She couldn't thank them enough and was the first to suggest a weekly meetup for them. She still has not realized these memories are fake, but she is suspicious of some details and has her doubts.
Kickin is the youngest child in his family, adopting a cool persona to help his self esteem issues. He didn't meet the others until later on, in the end on their childhood and the start of their teen years. He met CatNap first on accident, catching the cat being cornered by some larger critters. Despite being so tiny, Kickin' jumped in to defend the cat, and though the two didn't fair well, they immediately bonded. CatNap soon introduced him to DogDay. Though they liked each other, Kickin' always felt the need to one-up him. A rival. He has not realized the memories are fake, but he has no idea.
Crafty was an only child, but incredibly gifted. She happened to find herself in town to study, though she had a small desire to follow her art. She often spent time alone, finding a quiet spot to occasionally doodle between her studies. It was during one of these days when she met DogDay - who had no concept of personal space and leaned on her, asking her what she was drawing. Of course, this scared the hell out of her. Afterwards, DogDay apologized and insisted that he make it up to her by inviting her to the group's weekly hang-out. When Crafty met the others, she was amazed by how welcoming the other Critters were. She then began to start coming up with ideas on friendship charms and was the one to propose the idea. Everyone voted on what type of charm best suited the others. She is deep in denial that her memories are false, but deep down? She thinks she's always known.
Hoppy was the last to join the group. She met DogDay during a sporting event - as he was there to root for Kickin' (and CatNap, though CatNap spent the game sleeping on the benches). He was impressed by her sportsmanship, and she found his sunshine behavior pretty funny. They clicked almost immediately, so he grabbed her hand and quite literally dragged her to the others. While Hoppy didn't get along with the others that quickly, she stuck around. Because Hoppy was a last minute addition to the show, her memories are the most fragmented. It stresses her out if she dwells on it, so she ignores it.
CatNap's insistence on returning to their cartoon is probably the one thing that deeply angers DogDay as well. In the cartoon, they didn't have freewill. They could not feel things outside of their script - at least, not to the same extent. In the "real" world, DogDay felt they could finally be themselves. That they could truly be alive, even though they were technically prisoners to Playtime Co. DogDay couldn't express his love for the others in the cartoon. His friends couldn't be as happy - like Bobby and Hoppy. They could never be together in that world.
So, hearing CatNap demand that they just give up their freedom? Yeah. This is probably one of the only things that they fought about.
