Man in life-threatening condition after crash near Heathrow Airport

A man in his 80s is in a life-threatening condition after a three-car collision near Heathrow Airport.   The crash happened on Tunnel Road East, near to the Emirates Roundabout, at around 8:52am yesterday.   The man was taken to hospital where he remains in a critical condition.   A woman in her 40s, who was driving one of the other cars, was also taken to hospital but her injuries are not life-threatening.   Detectives from the Met's Serious Collision Investigation Unit are appealing for witnesses to the crash.   Anyone who saw the collision or has dash cam footage is asked to call the witness appeal line on 020 8246 9820.
