Some ideas I had for my island in new horizons! I'm super excited but I don't know which one I'll go with:

- a once vibrant logging town is now overgrown ruins where few villagers remain. the local forest guardian had cast a curse on this town to protect it's forest, which cause most of the village inhabitants to turn into woodland creatures, while a few remained partly human and became animal hybrids. shunned by human society, these few hybrids stay in the ruined town. a young witch moves into this town to learn more about the forest and helps provide medicine and runs errands for these villagers

- a fae realm hidden away. only children first leaving their home can find themselves arriving in this world instead of their intended destination. this island world is filled with strange structures and fairy circles, with random trinkets from the fairies adventures into the human world hidden all over the island to be found. a young girl lives in a small cottage near the sea cliffs. her cottage is filled with mementos from her friends and family as she deeply wishes to be back with them 

- a bustling japanese fishing village with an open air fish market near the beach and a town plaza that always has a festival happening or about to happen. the town is located in the southern portion of the island, while the northern part of the island is a dense forest that the villagers do not venture into. at the heart of this forest is an ornate manor, where a reclusive artist lives.

Thinking about how melkor and aulë disliked each other, how melkor took mairon, aulë's first and most formidable apprentice, then how curumo fell under sauron's corruption. thinking how aulë saw ossë being swayed too and begged uinen to bring her husband back. how he probably lost many others lesser maiair, that would become the balrogs, to melkor. thinking how fëanor became his greatest pupil only to see him also succumbing to his pride and greed. thinking how if mairon had had someone the way ossë had maybe things would have been different.

After years of trying to heal from the severe damages of my ex Im finally ready to meet someone else again but the awful truth is that people in my age demographic that are still single now are either recently divorced / single parents / single for a reason (stares at men) and I'm like ....ugh. and like no offence to any of them but dating someone with a young kid that isn't mine? No, thank you. because I'm the young kid myself. Also, the mere thought of ....going through the process of flirting and putting up on appearances and making efforts 🥴😵‍💫 and I'm not even discussing the idea of having het sex again 😖 BUT I said I was ready and I feel lonely and I need to move on.
