Gašper Levičnik/Caspar Levitschnigg (1772–1825)
Baptized on January 6, 1772 in Eisnern (now Železniki) in the Duchy of Carniola (modern-day Slovenia), then part of the Hasburg Monarchy.
Studied at the Jesuit gymnasium in Laibach (now Ljubljana, Slovenia), then the St. Anna gymnasium in Vienna. Studied law at the University of Vienna, graduated a Doctor of Law in 1798. Taught canon law at the same university in 1799 and 1800.
Had his own law practice from 1801. Married Catharina Lessacher, the daughter of a professor at the St. Anna gymnasium, that same year. Purchased three lordships in Lower Austria (Oberstinkenbrunn in 1807, Königsstetten in 1814, Stollberg in 1817).
Nobilitated in 1815 for "service to the state and noble handling of his subjects", elevated a Ritter in 1818 with the predicate von Glomberg.
Died on January 20, 1825 in Vienna.

Benannt ist die Bognergasse nach einst dort ansässigen Bognern, die neben den Pfeilschnitzern die Heere der Babenberger, Habsburger und Ritter mit Waffen versorgten.
An der heutigen Adresse Nr. 3 stand einst ein kleiner Bau mit dem Hauszeichen "Wo der Teufel mit der Bognerin rauft", das sich auf eine alte Volkssage bezieht. In der verbündete sich der Bogenmacher Caspar Bergauer, der von seiner Gattin misshandelt wurde, mit dem Teufel. Die rabiate Ehefrau durchschaute den Schwindel jedoch, begann mit den Herrn der Finsternis zu raufen und riss ihm dabei ein Horn aus.
An der Stelle des heutigen Gebäudes Nr. 5 gehörte ein kleines Haus ab 1619 dem Handelsmann Johann Baptiste Cameel, der dort eine Gewürzkrämerei errichtete und sein Geschäft „Zum schwarzen Kameel“ nannte. Im Jahr 1818 entstand darin die Frühstücks- und Weinstube von Josef Stiebiitz, zu dessen Kunden u.a. Ludwig van Beethoven zählte. 1901 wurde das Haus durch einen Neubau ersetzt, in dem wieder eine Wein- und Delikatessenhandlung "Zum schwarzen Kameel" untergebracht wurde.
Ein Nachfahre des Johann Baptiste Cameel war der gelehrte Missionar und Botaniker P. Georg Josef Cameel, nach dem eine auf den Philippinen entdeckte Blume "Kamelie" benannt wurde.
Ebenfalls eine Sage ist aus dem Haus Nr. 7 überliefert, das Mitte des 14. Jahrhunderts dem Wiener Lebemann Konrad von Kirchberg gehörte. Obwohl glücklich verlobt mit einem hübschen edlen Fräulein, suchte er immer wieder das Abenteuer mit anderen Frauen. Eines Abends ging der Mann über den St. Petersfriedhof und traf auf einen Totengräber, der gerade das Grab einer Dirne ausräumte. Übermütig hob Konrad den Schädel des Skeletts auf und sagte: „Komm in einer Stunde zu mir, ich lade dich zum Nachtmahl ein!“ Später am Abend erschien ihm der Geist der Dirne in Form eines Totenkopfs, der dem Frauenhelden mit ewigem Fegefeuer drohte, wenn er nicht treu zu sein vermochte. Konrad von Kirchberg hat sich angeblich nie wieder nach anderen Frauen umgesehen.
