So I've started on this journey of shooting content for some of my songs. 🌭Cocktail Sausage🌭 This is a commission that I did a little while back featuring a dainty little dachshund. It's a digital painting from start to finish, drawn in Photoshop with a Wacom Intuos tablet. I'm on a mission to improve my fundamental art skills and master colour, light and form and digital painting is a great form of testing out techniques and experimenting. 🍰 🍉 🍉Social media moves pretty fast so I doubt anyone's actually noticed but I have dramatically decreased my rate of posting over the past few months. I thought it was time I started posting again. Basically instagram gave me an account restriction type thing which drastically lowered my reach for 90 days (maybe more). The reason? I shared some funny (in my opinion anyway) obvious-memes featuring news articles that "independent fact-checkers" deemed fake-news. Even though I was sharing literal memes... not news. Has this crippled my humble little art account forever? Hi Friends:) Part of my painting process for this canvas art are in the photos below. I painted the canvas ground in orange and let it dry well before I added the daisies and leaves brush strokes. Paul du Toit - a growing legacy

In the decade since his passing, Paul’s legacy as a multi-disciplinary artist has continued to grow, as has the interest in his work.

Much has happened since the Paul du Toit archive was established in 2014. His position was firmly cemented by the publication of a monologue entitled PAUL edited by Ashraf Jamal.

New collectors, both local and international, have acquired pieces and, with limited supply, Paul’s works have realised higher prices in the secondary market - particularly his later paintings and works on paper.

There has been renewed focus on Paul’s sculpture from gallerists and curators with exhibitions at Tokara and the Investec Cape Town Art Fair as well as the public placement of some of his monumental sculptures in Cape Town, Franschhoek and Hermanus.

Smaller sculptures previously not cast in bronze, such as Boat People and Space Oddity, have been made available in limited editions. Paul’s Zanzibar Series of bronze sculptures, created in 2002, continues to be exhibited to great appreciation by collectors.

I continue to support charitable causes that were close to Paul’s heart, including Zip Zap Circus School, JAG Foundation, SAFIM and African Tails.
