With regards to the "Marvus is a tetrarch" theory, do you also subscribe to the theory that he's not really a purpleblood? There are hints; "xoloton" means "slave", and it would be a reason to be hiding his sign.

Oh. Do I Ever. I’ve subscribed to that theory from the get go.

If you search the marvus xoloto tag on my blog you’ll find that the earliest post reads, “We finally get a violet and he’s a fake Juggalo”.

I figured violet from both the sheer amount of it that he wears and the fact that the curtain covering his sign was that color. His fins could have been covered up by his long wild hair.

I have since moved on from that theory, although I haven’t entirely discarded it, in favor of him potentially being a Lime Blood with the sign Canra and his lusus being that axolotl from the concept art.

Additionally, I didn’t know about the ‘xoloton” meaning “slave” thing, but if you look it up, “Xoloto” is straight up a term for a fake juggalo, which either suggests that he is in fact not actually purple, or at the very least is not exactly pious.
