Just us....Against the World.

“...Haven’t I told you, Mauve?”

“...”

“It’s dangerous out there. Just look what they did to your socket.”

“...I know…”

“I know you wanted to protect LoveFill but...we can’t let her out any longer. They’re going to try to kill her. Who knows how many monsters want to. It’s...it’s just ridiculous.”

“If they want to kill our little sister, they’ll have to go through me first.”

“Mauve, didn’t you just hear me-”

“I said what I said, Damage.” Mauve continued to hold their two-year-old sister. LoveFill was currently sleeping. Rosa decided to say something.

“...M-Mauve, I know you want to protect LoveFill. We all do, don’t get me wrong but, I’m afraid we have to keep her inside for now-”

“And then what? She wouldn’t learn anything new! She wouldn’t get to explore WaterFall, or Hotland! She wouldn’t even get to meet new people! And you want to keep her insid-” LoveFill whined a bit. Mauve didn’t realize her voice was raising. She sighed.

“...I just don’t want her to...go through the same thing that...nevermind.” Mauve looked away. Rosa frowned.

“I just want nothing else to happen to us, you know? It...it pains me to think what would happen if one of us was gone...I don’t want that to happen again.” Rosa looked away as well.

“...” Mauve looked up at the two.

“...Our...situation...is complicated. I mean, who knows what the underground has in store for us. It might be straight up hell or it might be great, but…” Mauve got up. She put a hand on Rosa’s shoulder and looked at the two of them. Then down at LoveFill.

“...It’s just us. We have each other. Hasn’t it been like that from the day we were born?” They both looked at Mauve. Then at each other.

“...You speak the truth. It has always been that way. No matter the friends we have...they don’t know the hell we’ve been through…It’s irreversible.” Rosa looked down.

“The trauma has scarred us. Now I’m just afraid of what might happen.” Rosa’s eye lights disappeared. Damage frowned.

“In this world, it’s kill or be killed. Or that’s what they think it is. Their POV is different from ours. Or at least mine.” Damage looked down at her hand.

“They cause us to survive instead of live. They cause us to live in fear. We are only so young yet they think we are old enough to abide by the rules. And I hope and pray to Asgore that there’s a change.” Damage looked at LoveFill.

“I agree. We have to just hold on until there’s a change.” Said Rosa, who had a determined face. Mauve looked at the both of them. Then down at LoveFill. She smiled a bit.

“Yeah…” She looked back to the both of them. They had courage and belief in their facial expression.

“It’s just us...against the world.”
