not to be petty but i’m also annoyed because I checked my email for the first time in five days (i’ve had almost no cell service and no wifi) after getting some missed calls on my phone at 1am to see a whole bunch of angry emails from my future employer telling me they and their colleagues have been trying to contact me to fill out some “urgent and important forms.” the forms? a bunch of surveys with asinine infantile questions including, i kid you not, “if you could live in any fantasy world, what one would it be?” HELLO?
if this was some internship for high schoolers or middle schoolers. i would understand. but we are fucking adults. we are all white-collar working professionals in our mid/late 20s at the absolute youngest - not one of us is under 25. you are seriously asking us our favorite fantasy world? hello? it’s just infantilizing and insulting beyond words.
