So I'm scrolling through my photos with an Easter theme in mind, (I like a theme!), knowing full well that chicks and bunnies are out of the question but thinking yellow might be doable, when I realised how infrequently I'm asked to use a yellow colour palette. As anyone knows who works in the wedding industry, 90% of the time it's the palest of blush pinks and pastels that most brides want, which is a shame as stronger colours can look just as gorgeous. Theres so much choice of flower at this time of year and I adore these Icelandic Poppies with their large papery petals in soft coral colours. I haven't had a chance over the last couple of days to go and do any more work on my plot but I've got some Icelandic poppies to seed and a flowering dogwood to plant, so I'm hoping to get up there today, but there are more proposals to do first! I've had such a lovely Easter weekend spending time with friends and family. I went to the beautiful @NationalTrus₩ house Lytes Cary, was treated to a slap up fish and chip nosh, sang with the Springsters our village choir, drank champagne, played bridge and was cooked lunch... my sort of weekend! I had a lovely (and exhausting) day yesterday at @camehousedorset, one of the most stunning venues around. We were privileged to thave access to several rooms including the exquisite orangery, elegant dining room and intimate morning room, where talent was pooled to set up several room set for a photo shoot.
