Another Cael brainrot yes and please.

Going through the Azure Island events really makes you notice Cael's spectacular character development. Good character development is usually when you can't tell the difference between their first impression and the impression they give off now. At this point, he's almost completely unrecognizable.

I mean, just look at him? Wasn't this the same man that said he'd willingly replace modern Lars with Godheim Lars?? Is this really the same guy???

From a man who cared little about the lives of literally everyone else except for the MC (and being the clown he is while denying it 🤡), now treasures the lives of giant clams. Little old him wouldn't have so much as acknowledged them in the first place.

He's changed. He has now begun to treasure the world in which she resides in. Immerses himself in everything the world has to offer, because in the process of falling in love with her, this planet has become his home. A place to return to, because,"Home is where your loved ones are." And Cael is an objective example of that.

And then there's that one time when you play Lars' route in the main Azure Island story. Where the MC practically blurted out, "Oh so that's why I kissed Lars, because of my intense desire-" and Lars getting flustered because why is she saying this in front of Cael of all people?

And you know what follows next?

Cael feels absolute gratitude. Does not feel jealousy, embarrassment, or even the least bit upset at the show of her love towards someone else. He is truly relieved that MC has found someone she can trust and love. Someone that can keep her safe without needing him. He does not care that the person she needs is not him.

Her happiness isn't even something he categorizes as a top priority as it were some duty of his. Calling her happiness as "something" important just falls short on how he actually feels. It's become the most natural need in the world for him. Even if he's on the losing side of this relationship, he does not care or even seem to think about it. It's her. What is there to think about?

He wants her to be happy, that's all there is to it.
