This year Daxton was serious, last hear he had not had the chance to really be a part of any of the events in town and so this year he decided he was. He loved pumpkin carving and he was good at it. Daxton used to do it every year with his dad and then they will leave it out. Daxton had gotten so much better and he had also learned how to make sure his pumpkin last longer. So he was at Jack's pumpkin farm looking for the perfect pumpkin that's when he turned to a stranger and smiled. "Random question, what do you think about this massive pumpkin. I have a feeling it's a winner, might be a lot of work but it's perfect."

“Word on the street is that you and I need to be havin’ a bit of a talk, man.” Sterling said, leaning an elbow against the bar beside the blonde SoA. It seemed that it was hard for things to be kept a secret in the Devils, so word had gotten around quick enough that some people had swore they had seen the man and a certain doe-eyed blonde getting closer and closer over the past few weeks. Despite knowing where it was going or how serious it was, Sterling felt that he was long overdue when it came to addressing it with Dallas.

“You wanna come back to my office, man? Chat shouldn’t take too long.” He reasoned, gesturing towards the back halls of Moonlight with a lazy hand before pushing himself away from the bar, waiting for confirmation for the other man then heading towards his office without glancing back at him.

“Hey, I found that book you were looking for! It was near the back beside the weird shoes and the record player playing what sounds like a 1940′s Slovokian Death March-” Jane’s rambling only paused when she fully looked at the face of the man in front of her, heat flooding her cheeks immediately upon realizing that he was definitely not the friend she had come to vintage store with.

“I am... so sorry.” She immediately apologized. After all, she had just fully invaded this man’s space and rambled nonsense at him for far too long to be any kind of excusable. “I thought you were my friend, and obviously you are not. We don’t know each other. He was looking for this super old edition of some weird book and this place had it listed on their website and I finally found it and... I don’t know why I am telling you this. Sorry again- I’m going to go.” Jane’s mouth wouldn’t stop its rambling despite every ounce of her wanting it to, so the only option now was an attempt to make a hasty retreat and leave the man in peace.

Walking back towards where the drinks were being sold, she decided that sweet talking someone who could actually buy something was her best bet. It wouldn’t be the first time she’d done it that day, but it hadn’t always been successful. Eyes glued to her phone screen as she navigated her way through the crowd, she inevitable walked into someone, huffing when she dropped her phone. “God, can’t you watch where you’re going?” She snapped, bending down to pick up the device - knowing full well she’d walked into them, but refusing to take the blame. Once she was satisfied no damage had been done, she looked back up at the person she’d bumped into fully content to make some snappy remark before leaving - a plan that quickly vanished when she finally noticed who she’d walked into. “If I say sorry, can we pretend this never happened and move on with our lives? Seems like an a+ plan to me.” @ofcomcts

“So Ezra is going to stay with us for a few days, okay? Maybe more. My sister left him at my mom’s place over the weekend and hasn’t come back. My mom is going crazy looking for her and the police are getting involved. I thought it would be best if I took off a few days and we took Ezra off her hands. He needs some stability right now.” Dallas loved her sister and she loved her mom, but in this moment, Ezra needed someone who could be there for him, to provide him with routine and structure. Dallas was the best option for that. 

Dallas had honestly not cared for kids much until her nephew was born. But Ezra was her bright spot - a funny little boy with so much love to give. In fact, he almost made Dallas want a family of her own. “I was thinking we’ll take him to the park and stop at the store on the way home to get a few things. I want to try and get him back on a routine. The social worker said it’d be best.” Dallas’ emotions were all over the place today. There was concern and worry for her sister, anxiety and anger, frustration at the system and red tape. She already had called in a few favors from PD to get them to take the case more seriously. What she needed right now aside from hope and prayer, was to know Ezra was safe and that she’d have her girl at her side every step along the way.
