i think my professional practice class might truly break me. it’s not like completely horrible by any means. but we are supposed to be learning about the ethics and legality of it all (the teaching profession). which like cool, okay, that’s useful. i would like to have that information. except my first assignment was: write a 5 page in depth paper about your origins/culture. and i’m about to start the second assignment which is: pick a living thing to become and write a 7 page paper on how this living thing is a metaphor for your teaching

#bro.... what's the point.... none of this connects to what you have been talking about in class #i'm just.... tired #please i beg of you. give me a useful/meanginful assignment #y'all are alwaaays preaching about making work meaningful and relevant to our students and yet..... #oh and let's not forget that i had to sit and listen to my prof talk for 10 minutes about how he has been reading up on how #the covid vaccine is going to control and kill us #and he can send us the link if we want to know more about it #and he spends more than half the class going off on tangents about his life that barely relate to the material #which like at first i didn't mind bc like okay connecting it to some practical experience of his. sure. makes sense #but they are sooooo long and after like 5 minutes i've totally lost the thread of whatever he's trying to say #IM TIRED #uni life
