I can't believe the "tools don't matter" is a popular belief in the art community like i was having a miserable time drawing until i sharpened my pencil and suddenly everything became better

#m #art stuff #like obvs buying super expensive art supplies wont make you as good as da vinci #but some tools make the art process feel smoother and more pleasant #something as simple as finding the right stability or texture or color can improve the feeling of drawing instantly #so it's wild that some people will get asked their brush settings or whatever and they'll drop the 'um tools don't matter ☝' line
